She kept in touch when needed and was very observant when one of our dogs started having some neurological issues and got a hold of us promptly. She kept the house pristine. Tony and Lina are amazing! Tony’s communication and clear instructions made the sit a breeze! Instructions are provided and they’re very thorough. Lina is an absolute cutie! She’ll hiss now and again but will still shyly follow you around the house. The neighborhood is extremely safe and very walkable. Beautiful home and wonderful people!
It was my first petsit since covid lockdown and I'm really pleased to have been to Annabelle's. We've had great communication, she gave me a lot of useful tips about Berlin and made me feel at home at her place. Annabelle's apartment is super comfy and well located, next to various bus stops and walking distance to the U-Bahn station. Also next to a supermarket, which is very convenient. Heidi is a very loveable and lively cat, and I've had a great time looking after her. I would highly recommend housesitting for Annabelle if you want to discover Berlin.
I could start talking about the lovely Angie or the incredible house where we spent 25 days, but I choose to start talking about Peter. Peter is not only one of the best hosts we've ever had, but also one of the best people we've ever met. He is one of those people who bring light to our lives, full of joy, with a contagious laugh. He is also extremely generous, with a beautiful heart and made us feel at home, inviting us for dinners with his children and friends. We had the opportunity to spend 4 days with him after he returned from vacation (before our next trip) and we didn't want to leave him anymore. He is one of those people who make our days better and much more fun. We left with a broken heart and the feeling of leaving part of a family behind. Angie is pure love. She is a sweet, easy-going, affectionate, partner dog, who will be by your side all the time, making you laugh with her way of being. Our days were incredible with her and we already miss her. The house is truly incredible! Beautiful, airy, in a safe location and with a breathtaking view. Sunshine Coast is a quiet and developed region, with many beaches and a beautiful nature. We love this place! If you are lucky enough to find an available opportunity to look after Angie, hurry up! You will certainly have amazing days. Peter, once again, thank you so much for everything! We are waiting for you in Brazil.
Juno is the most affectionate pup. She has a lot of energy on walks but settles down at home just as easily for a good snuggle on the couch. She has many adorable quirks. With her sweet disposition, I think you’ll be hard-pressed not to fall in love. Her recall off-lead is excellent, and we had no difficulty traveling—whether via bus, tube, or car. Though she can pull a bit when on leash, if I slowed my pace and asked her to ‘heel,’ she would abide. Anytime she joined me on an outing to a cafe or restaurant, she was quiet and patient. Hansel and Lizzie were very welcoming and thorough in their communication from start to finish. I felt exceptionally prepared to handle any circumstance that may have arisen. I settled comfortably into their flat and appreciated having space to unpack my clothes and Hansel taking the time to get me set up with their smart lights. I wouldn’t pass on an opportunity to watch Juno again and I hope this won’t be the last time I cross paths with her, Hansel, and Lizzie.
We had the pleasure of spending a weekend in the company of Dusty and Albie. Albie is an older gentle dog who didn't need much but a small walk. Dusty was a ball of energy that will jump up on you and bounce off really quick and it will take a bit of muscle to walk him. As Melinda informed, he is a young dog and a rescue and I have no doubt he was trying to push limits with us. If we had any questions Melinda was quick to respond via text but most of what we needed to know was included in the welcome page on Trusted Housesitters. Melinda's house was a real gem to stay in, lots of light, beautiful garden, had everything we needed to feel comfortable. It is located in a great spot close to the beach and many beautiful walking trails.
I'm thankful for the week I spent at Melissa's home in Cambridge. Cassie was no trouble at all and I'm glad she came out from time to time for some interaction and petting. The location is very desirable, so much is within walking distance and the Porter Square T stop is very close. I feel like this was a mutually beneficial arrangement and hope we get to do it again!
