Housesitting Huey for Sophie & Mike was a delight! Huey is such a sweet dog who loves his routine. He’s very food motivated so giving him his medication is as easy as pie (or should I say cheese). He’s also very impressive with the tricks and commands he knows, which is a credit to Sophie & Mike’s training! Huey is a great walker, other dogs do get his attention and he likes to say hello with barks but it’s easy to get his attention back with his treats. Sophie and Mike were lovely and accomodating! We arrived a day early so we could go on two walks with them to get to know Huey’s mannerisms. We had great convos over the dinners we had together before they left! Their home is very warm and walkable to a huge Asda. Taking the bus into town about a 40 minute bus ride and there are many local walks around for yourself and Huey! We couldn’t recommended sitting for Huey enough. He’s such a good dog and Sophie & Mike provided very detailed instructions which made looking after him a breeze!
We really enjoyed our time in Madrid, and looking after Mancha. Sara communicated all the practicalities and instructions really clearly throughout the process. The flat was clean and comfortable and it felt like a very authentic Madrid experience to stay there. The neighbourhood was fantastic too, with lots of good places to eat and drink, and great transport connections. Mancha was really cute and funny, she took a couple of days to get used to us and definitely has a strong personality! But she was easy to take care of and we missed her when we left :-)
Ann was charming, very kind to us, attended to us, and was attentive to us all the time. She had a nice smile and made us feel at home. The house is beautiful, located in a good neighborhood, very lovely and very quiet. Orio and Bear are two beautiful cats, very lazy, pampered, and obedient. They are always sleeping and are very sweet. They are very easy to care for and to meet their needs. These cats left a giant mark on our hearts, and we will never forget them. We recommend this house to any sitter who wants to come; it will be an unforgettable time, and they will enjoy their stay. Thank you for everything, Ann! :)
Phyllis and Polly are the most gracious and beautiful ladies I could have asked to sit for! I received clear instructions which were printed out for my reference while I was staying. Their home and neighborhood is absolutely safe and beautiful. They have a gated entrance and wonderful guards I had the pleasure to get to know during my sit. I was introduced to the neighbors in case I needed anything. They made sure I was taken care of and felt completely comfortable. They gave me lists and suggestions of where to go during my stay. They showed exactly where everything is located and the schedule for their dogs. On a personal note, I made two new friends I shall have for a long time. I feel very lucky I met them. Now on to the even greater part..The DOGS! Slider and Racer, are fantastic. They are the sweetest and friendliest love bugs and they listen well to directions. I fell in love with them instantly. We went on walks most days (which was not expected) because I wanted to and they love it. They listen well to direction and follow commands easily. Without any hesitation I will sit for them again and I hope I get the opportunity. So much love for my gracious hosts and their amazing dogs, whom I already miss! I
Everything about this sit was perfect! Communication with Catharina & Kemal was easy & friendly. The apartment is spacious, in a good area of the city, and quiet. I really enjoyed exploring the local area and parks with Pixel. Pixel is a gorgeous doggo and very well behaved. She knows how the house sitting process works, she's a smart cookie. When walking she is on the hunt for food (naturally). I found that talking to her and walking faster kept her attention away from the infinite smells on Berlin's streets. She remembers where food is that she wasn't able to grab last time, so you need to remember too! Overall a wonderful experience and a big thanks for letting me look after her 🙂🙂🙂
Babs and Luna are great cats with big personalities who warmed up to us immediately. Cara apartment home is clean and well organized and centrally located in the city. Cara is an excellent communicator and provided detailed information about her home and the cats. Thank you Cara for trusting us with your home and more importantly with the girls.
