Lena was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the moment she met Layla, I knew it would be an amazing fit, and it was. She was easy to work with, very low maintenance, and cared for our pup and our home. She kept us regularly updated with pictures, giving us a real sense of ease while we were far away. I would happily recommend her to anybody looking for an amazing person to care for their home and pet.

Basil is an absolutely lovely dog, full of pep despite his age, affectionate and very well behaved. I have missed him dearly after I left, he was a lovely companion!
Overall lovely stay and beautiful location and house. The walks in the moors are absolutely stunning and many routes are available. The views seem different everyday depending on the light and weather. A hiker’s joy! The house is comfortable, roomy and cosy which makes it feel very relaxing, and Rebecca and her family were very nice.
The only difficulty for me was the omission that the house is located at the top of a very steep hill, which is fine when you have nothing to carry (or have a car) but I had to pay for taxis on my way from and to the train station as I had heavy luggage (Yorkshire weather needs you to be prepared haha!). They were cheap, but it’s still something to note! It’s also fine with a few bits of groceries but if like me you don’t want to go back into town every day and prefer to enjoy the moors, know that having a weekly shop delivered can be tricky (there were no availabilities until 2-3 days later for most supermarkets, Deliveroo riders understandably don’t come up there, so I had to order from Waitrose which made for a nice but slightly pricier shop than I’d have liked as they were the only one with slots for the next day).
Another extra cost was the airbnb for the night before as Rebecca and her family were leaving extra early the next day. I was happy to go with it this time but just flagging for other travelers!
I would still go back and recommend the stay 😊

Sandra and Larry are kind, communicative, generous, and flexible. They welcomed me with a lovely dinner on my arrival and had great recommendations of things to do during my stay.
The cats are all so sweet. Ike is super friendly and was by my side a lot of the time. Muffy and Aimee are a bit more elusive but both warmed up after a couple of days. I loved their different personalities and they are the easiest to care for.
I worked remotely during my stay. The internet was great and there are lots of options for workspaces. The house is very comfortable and I loved the eclectic style. The backyard is a perfect place to relax.
The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe. It is in walking distance to nob hill and the central location made it an easy drive to everywhere else.
This was a great Housesit experience!

We had a lovely time sitting for Emma and her family. Communication was very quick and easy right from the start of the application process and we were made to feel very welcome during our stay. We were provided with excellent handover notes and lots of great information about the local area.
Emma’s house is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and set in the beautiful village of Charlbury, with local shops, restaurants and pubs and lots of countryside walks right on the doorstep.
Ozzy and Ziggy have to be the most laid back cats we have looked after and they were a total pleasure to care for. Ziggy loves spending time with you throughout the day, Ozzy is more of a sleep in the day and venture out in the evening kind of guy. Both cats are very friendly, affectionate and playful and we would certainly love to return if asked.

I had such a great stay at Kathy's with Blue & Layla.
Kathy's home was inviting, comforting and well situated for all conveniences. Layla & Blue were some of the most docile and gentle dogs ever being very welcoming and adjusting. I would love to return and would recommend the house, Kathy and Blue/Layla as a home/pet sit to do.

The terrific Trio! I was glad to help them out in a pinch, so they could enjoy their wedding on the East Coast, honeymoon in Europe and even extended, as much as I could, so they could meet the newest member to Rob's family. The pups truly loved being together. Both staff and neighbors were friendly and helpful.
