We have just arrived back in England after a lovely house sit for Martin and Elaine and had charge of their gorgeous collie x Callie. Sitting for Tania was an absolute delight, Pippin and Zippy are gorgeous and after a little time became very playful and Pippin in particular lovely and cuddly especially when you had her favourite blanket on your lap. Obviously she loved the blanket more than me but I can pretend! The house is in a lovely area close to some great restaurants and very easy to get around. The area is so very quiet which was a nice surprise considering its a busy London suburb. We found the house incredible relaxing, well laid out and everything you need.
We had a lovely time looking after Baxter who is a very gentle dog and and a pleasure to be around. He loves his treats and has a fantastic nose for sniffing them out wherever we hid them as well as earning them when we played the games Emily and Jack told us he loves. He was happy to be around us, chilling, and he let us know whenever somebody delivered or the postman was outside. Emily and Jack have a lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean home. They gave of their time so we could meet Baxter before the sit which we really appreciated, and their instructions were clear and really helpful. It was also lovely to have a tour of their home so we knew where everything would be. St Austell is beautiful and we took a number of walks to Charlestown, which was under a mile and has some really nice restaurants. We would happily return to Baxter and St Austell and highly recommend this sit. Thank you again Emily and Jack for choosing us and Baxter for looking after us 😃
I spent a week at Rosamond's place with two gorgeous cats. Ros kindly came to pick me up at the station and we had the time for a nice chat with her daughter who was visiting. The flat is comfy, warm (always much appreciated in the winter!) and quiet (great for online work). Tufty has a very peaceful attitude, he really enjoys life and can move from purring to snoring surprisingly fast (of course always close to his human!). Ruby needs a bit of time to trust you, but once she has decided you are her friend, it is forever, and she becomes affectionate, curious and playful. Thank you Ros, Tufty and Ruby for inviting me and for your generosity. I recommend this sitting to any cat lover.
We didn't meet Jenny and James before or after the sit but this was ok as they kept in contact with us, we had an informative phone call to explain all we needed to know which was very helpful. Elvis and Monty are lovely guys they were no trouble and enjoyed some fuss. The house was warm and cosy with a brilliant log fire. We really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit.
