I had the best time staying with Tex in Canmore! Tex is the gentlest, friendliest dog who loves lots of cuddles, and is easy to care for. Julie was easy to communicate with and left clear instructions for looking after Tex. She took me for a walk before the sit to give me some tips on walking Tex as well. Julie's house is super comfortable and modern, and was a cosy haven from the cold Canmore weather! I'd happily sit for Tex again 😊
I had the great pleasure of looking after Billy and Alfie for 2 weeks here. I met Elizabeth and Jonathan the evening before the sit and enjoyed a delicious meal with them and their friends. They are very nice people and we kept in touch regularly during the sit. The house is in a great location and has a lovely garden,. It’s peaceful, rather isolated with no neighbours nearby. I didn’t have a car so I didn’t explore the area - I sat reading every day in the garden , with the dogs by my feet, enjoying the beautiful countryside. Castelnau-de-Montmiral is a 30 minute uphill walk, has a weekly market and a small but well stocked supermarket. The boys are delightful, super affectionate and great fun. Billy is a sweet old boy who struggles a bit but we managed a walk every day. Alfie has boundless energy but is also happy and eager to be cuddled constantly. I was sad to leave my constant companions of 2 weeks and hope I have the opportunity to look after them again in the future.
I had a great time at Olivia's beautiful home in Cabanelles where the location and views were breathtaking! But the best thing of all was taking care of sweet Alma who was such a lovely and fun dog! She was also very playful and we had a lot of fun fetching her various toys in the front garden next to the swimming pool. I also had the pleasure of meeting Olivia when I went to pick her up from the train station at the end of her holiday. She's a very nice and interesting person! I hope I will have a chance to sit for them again and have more magical experiences in Cabanelles!
