I had a great time hanging out with Max at Jill's wonderfully cozy and historic home. While it's a short, easy walk to the beach, it's far enough away to enjoy quiet time on the expansive back deck that rises over a lush little fish-filled pond and babbling brook, complete with bench, just below. Once Max knows you're a trustworthy friend, he is very talkative and interactive. A cat flap to the outdoor Eden makes Max one very lucky and happy cat. Very straightforward and easy cat and home. I would definitely sit for Max again.
this was a really nice start to trusted house sitters with the nicest dogs you could wish to meet...two lovely whippets who were good company in and out of the house...laura and napier took the necessary time to explain everything i needed to know and left a car for use in taking the dogs out and about...we had some nice adventures both around the walks that the dogs were familiar with and to a few places i know and had no doubt they would enjoy...the house is comfortable and very central to shops and public transport....highly recommended
We had a wonderful sit in Vaudrude. The day before the sit we were invited by Cathryn and Larry. They showed us all about the house and the garden, and explained us everything about their wonderful cats Frankie and Millie.Afterwards we had a nice evening meal together prepared by Larry. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated and has all modern confort. The area is beautiful and only 2 km away from Corgnac sur l'Isle, a little town on the river with a bakery, a little supermarket and a simple but good restaurant and a bar. If you go to the bakery by bicycle it goes down quite steep and you have to use your muscles for your return. We had a very cozy bedroom with  en-suite bathroom and a beautiful view on the frontgarden. Frankie and Millie are very easy, although they have different characters. Frankie is always hungry and likes to be near you, Millie is more on his own, and sometimes they have a little fight when they are hungry. They love to be brushed from time to time. Thank you very much Cathryn and Larry for your hospitality. We had a beautiful holiday and enjoyed eating out in the garden for the whole period. Gaby provided clear and helpful information for my stay and was easy to reach if any questions came up. Their flat is tidy and comfortable in a great location. Indie took a little of time to warm up but was soon comfortable sitting on my lap whenever I was sat on the couch. She enjoyed pats, but would get upset and put her claws out if I tried to move her to get up. Would wake me up during the night for attention. Sitter needs to be experienced and comfortable with cats.
Kim gave us great information about the sit prior to arriving and sent a really useful guide. Alfie was a lovely dog who was so happy and great company. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great during our weekend there meaning we couldn't get out and explore the area as much as we would have liked but I'm sure we will be back!
