We had almost decided on another housesitter for a recent family vacation when we got a message from Liz, who travels with her dog Buster. Our dogs love other dogs and we thought the addition of a play pal would really help ease any anxiety they had in our absence, even though there’s always a little concern with adding another dog in the mix we decided it was worth a shot and boy did it work out swimmingly! We have always felt that our dogs have been well taken care of with TH, but this is the first time we’ve been away and had daily professional photographic documentation that they were also having mega FUN in our absence! Liz took all the pups out on 3mi minimum hikes every day and facilitated a ton of play and cuddle time at home. I think our girls both fell in love with sweet Buster, he’s 11 so totally mellow and even keeled- he got along perfectly with both Reaux who loves to rough house and Cece who is a lot more mellow. His stint here may help me convince my husband we need another dog! It was a real treat for us to get to travel without any of the usual anxiety that the dogs weren’t getting enough exercise or play time- we are pretty active and they are used to being tired/happy all the time so it’s usually our biggest concern. Liz took such great care of our home and property through two winter storms with several inches of snow, and successfully finished off a 30 course of antibiotics with both of our dogs. We had a little bit of a hectic exit from the house to leave for our trip and she was so sweet to even fold a load of laundry we had in the dryer and take care of a few other loose ends- really above and beyond! As usual with TH- our home was in gorgeous condition when we returned and we couldn’t be more grateful for the respect and attention paid. Thanks Liz for all the love you showed our dogs and our home! And especially for the incredible pics- they were such a treat. Wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Liz and Buster to anyone looking for a great house sitter and dog buddy combo! We’re so thrilled with how well things went we will actively seek out other TH sitters traveling with their pets in the future. 10/10, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hope to see you guys again some time! Love, Laura & John, Cece & Reaux

Mark did a great job watching our pets while we were away for 3 weeks. He is a very friendly, tidy and adventurous person. He was very helpful around the house and even mowed the lawn while we were away. We would gladly have him back to watch the pets again.

Lynn and Mike
Lynn and Mike's cat, Flossie, is a very sweet and independent cat. The seven chickens are fun to watch and they lay fresh delicious eggs every day. The gardens are lush and pretty with a fertile veggie patch. The location is immersed in astounding nature with a lovely river nearby where rowing is a pastime with hundreds of swans and ducks. The kind couple left a thoughtful and detailed walkthrough and notes were meticulous which made the sit a breeze. It was definitely a surreal retreat in nature's majestic beauty set in the charming English village of St Neots. Neighbors were very friendly and warm. Highly recommended!

Best Sit on Trustedhousesitter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sitting for Marlaine, Brian, and their sweet dog Bella was a total blessing from god. Their welcoming kindness, compassion, and spiritual
awareness made my experience truly unforgettable. They generously left lots of delicious, high-quality food and coffee for me to enjoy!
The spotless, and love-filled home
has everything you need to feel at home. The guest room is very comfortable and the bed is like sleeping on fluffy clouds.

The main star, Bella 🐕‍🦺

Bella is sweet, loving, well trained, chilled, relax poodle that loves walks and treats she’s the perfect pet. We spend the 4th of July watching movies and listening to to Pet Anti stress music so she didn’t hear the fireworks. She loved to lay at my feet and even slept near my bed.

I was so enchanted by their beautiful home and pool that I barely left the house other the to get groceries.

The pool is lovely, and I can't express enough how warm and loving Marlaine is. In all my years of house sitting, I've never met such wonderful homeowners. She/They went above and beyond hospitality. Don't miss the opportunity to sit for them – it's an experience you won't regret! They’re a 💎 Gem

Kate
We had a fantastic sit with the cats in Ramsbottom. Reggie, Alma & Teddy, were really easy to care for. Lauren and Kate have a beautiful home, we were very comfortable and Ramsbottom is a great village with good shops, cafes and restaurants. There’s wonderful walks on the doorstep and a great community cafe within walking distance.
Lauren and Kate are warm and welcoming hosts, communication was very easy, we had everything we needed for the perfect sit.
We would definitely stay again if we got the opportunity.

Ben and Vicky
These first two weeks of 2024 in Kendal were a perfect start into a new year!
Ben and Vicky warmly welcomed us into their comfortable home and explained the details of the house during the one-hour handover. We met the cats, Billy and Millie, who in the beginning were slightly more reserved than their owners… Over the course of the two weeks we got to know each other, the relationships with these two very different creatures formed and trust built. Billy, being rather lazy and self-contained, slept a lot and early on gracefully accepted cuddles. Millie took a bit more time but soon she also came on her own to sit on either our laps when we relaxed on the sofa in the evenings. She started following us around in the house curiously watching what we did and engaging in silent communication. She loved to play and would explicitly ask for her playtime. It was always lovely to watch her and she made us laugh many times, but of course Billy did too. We were in regular communication with Ben and Vicky during their holiday and sent them updates and pictures to let them know that everything was ok.
As much as we enjoyed being around the pets, we also enjoyed what the area had to offer and made some excursions into the beautiful lake district. There were very good coach connections to several major locations and we benefited from a scheme that capped bus prices at 2 £ per ride; this might of course not be available in the future… It is a great place to go hiking and even in winter, many people enjoy the outdoors. It is also a very safe and quiet area. To keep things short: the pets, Ben & Vicky, the house and the area were all fabulous and we are sure that future sitters and cat lovers will love this sit as much as we did. We are really grateful that we had the chance to stay at Ben’s and Vicky’s place!

I enjoyed the warm welcome, hospitality and free flowing conversation during my sit for my new found friends. Their fur son Oliver and I became fast friends with his sticking to me like glue and me enjoying our walks and conversations ( he knows how to make you feel like he understands what you’re saying). He is so lovable!!!
This is a five star sit!
