Dorrie was a wonderful house and pet sitter! She was available to meet Henry before the sit and was very organized and asked many questions to make sure she knew what would be best for Henry. We were away for a little over 2 weeks and we did not have to worry about Henry. We felt great knowing he was in Dorrie’s care. She was able to keep to his routine which was exactly what we wanted. She was extremely clean and tidy, and the house was in great condition when we came back. Would love to have Dorrie take care of Henry again :)
Dear members of the zeewoi community, Take our word for it that you will not find a better couple than Nercy and Gustavo to care for your home and pet. From the moment we first connected with them over video chat to the moment, several months later, that we returned to our glistening home, Nercy and Gustavo proved to be the most professional, caring, compassionate, organized, and delightful couple and housesitters we could have ever been so-blessed to find. Let me share why: When we held our initial video chat, we were so impressed with their English, composure, kindness and empathy (it radiated off the screen) . They instantly intuited our concerns over leaving our home and beloved pup, Orfeu, for what was to be the longest separation yet. We felt immediately reassured when they told us that they, too, had left their dog at home in Toledo and, therefore, understood intimately what it was like to care for a dog as if it were their own. They instinctively assuaged our separation anxiety. The day before we departed for our travels, they took an hour-long uber ride from Anaheim to our apartment in Hollywood in order to meet us and acquaint themselves with our pup and home. Their experience traveling the world, meeting and interacting with a wide range of people (and their dogs) made it so Roberto and I, and Orfeu, were instantly comfortable around them. It felt as though they were always meant to be here. During our almost three-week long trip, Nercy communicated the absolute perfect amount: enough to keep us in the loop and to reassure us that all was well without taking us away from our travels. Plus, she captured some of the best photographs of our dog! In the middle of their stay, Nercy and Gustavo had to play host to our landlord and handyman who abruptly arrived to do some sorely-needed housework. With the most minimal of concern, Nercy and Gustavo handled that interruption and made us feel that our apartment was being stewarded over by the most competent of hands. Upon arriving back to our apartment, late at night and after a very long travel day, we walked in to find the house in impeccable condition and Orfeu as happy as can be. Suffice to say, say "YES!" to these two, without a second of hesitation. We could not recommend them more highly and would do whatever we can to help them travel the US and land in the best of homes.

Great overall experience on Day 1 for my 85lb. Chocolate Lab pup (8 months). Vanessa was lovely upon our arrival and from the doggy meet and greet, to his day at daycare, and their responsiveness when I called to check in I am very please thus far. My only issue is that they do not have an outside space for the dogs to get out. It is a completely indoor facility - very clean, neat, and organized.. spacious too. Knowing that Hudson was a few weeks out of OCD shoulder surgery, they kept an eye on him ensuring he didn't overly exert himself nor did other dogs also push him too much for play. All in all I was pleased with the interaction and loved the "report card" that was provided at the end of the day to summarize his behavior and day. I plan to have Hudson return for daycare and will be giving their boarding a try too. Thank you Vanessa and team for making me feel comfortable leaving my baby.
Folks at Hounds Town were so patient and lovely during our initial consultation. They were patient with our nervous pup and made us all feel at ease. We will definitely set up our first visit soon.
I boarded my elderly dog here for four days. He had never been boarded before, so needless to say I was worried about how he would adjust. I’m happy to say that Hounds Town Bergen exceeded my expectations. The staff was so caring and supportive of both me and my fur elder!! I received a text saying that he was doing well, and the photos on Facebook helped to relieve my anxiety. I highly recommend this establishment!!
Our dog, Zuko, had so much fun in Hounds Town! He got a lot of his energy out and socialized with dogs his size, in a safe environment. The staff are always so friendly and responsive. They posted cute pics of him and he looked so happy! They gave us a report card at the end of daycare, which I thought was a really cute touch. Also, the prices are great, the place is clean and spacious—Highly recommend!
The team at Hounds Town is awesome! They were friendly, engaged with our dogs and made us very comfortable as we left our pooches to be boarded for their first time! We were nervous but they made us feel good and at peace as my husband and I went off for a much needed long weekend!
My dog came out of his 1st day evaluation very happy. This only means he enjoyed his stay there. Excellent and professional staff. The office ambiance was also excellent and very welcoming. Am pretty sure we’ll be back for more of the love and new friends he made today
The team here is phenomenal. They treat my baby like their own. They’re all very friendly and professional. The lobby is always clean and smells good. Tobias enjoys every single minute of the 4 days a week he goes here. I can’t thank the staff enough for their kindness and compassion. I love seeing all of the pictures on social media of how happy the dogs are playing here.
Danielle is AMAZING with our 14yr old baby - she’s been grooming him for years, we have followed her from PetSmart to here. Hounds-town is a more smaller, family, caring and friendly. They offer a lot of services for pet care.

We love Hounds Town Bergen and so does our beagle! After being rejected at a previous doggy daycare because our beagle was too shy and didn't interact much with the staff-- we lost all hope in finding a good place for our beagle until we found Hounds Town. They took her in with open arms and really took the time to gain her trust. She comes home pooped out from all the fun! We also love the photo updates! Hounds town has helped her so much to get over the fear of meeting new dogs and new people. I would absolutely recommend this place to all my dog moms/dads!
We went away for 5 days and were nervous to leave our baby with a pet sitter for the first time ever. We can say now as long as it’s Jaime we will never be nervous again! As you can see our cat loved her lol. We received daily photos, all directions were followed as given in regards to feedings/supplements and litter scooping and she even vacuumed around the box which I didn’t ask of her! Came home to a happy, healthy and loved kitty 😊
Jamie is wonderful! She took such great care of our little guy while we were away for a few days! I was green in the area of pet sitting because I usually take the pets everywhere with me lol. But Jamie exceeded my expectations by far! We also communicated daily while I was away, and she even sent me daily pics of my little guy. It was because of Jamie that I could relax while away! My entire family thanks her for that.

Jaime was great with my dog! It was my first time hiring a dog walker but she exceeded the expectation! I received a photo after the walks and he looked so happy. I even noticed his appetite increased which is a great sign that jaime provided much needed exercise.

We hired Jaime to care for our pets in our home while we were away for almost two weeks. We have quite a menagerie - 4 cats and 3 dogs, several of whom have special needs. We’ve used Jamie now twice with our big boy Archie! Jamie is absolutely amazing and has treated our needy boy pristinely! Our first experience with Jamie found us in a pinch and needing a dog sitter for an unplanned trip. Jamie helped us calm down and made time to make sure we and Archie were comfortable with her. Needless to say we were sold and haven’t looked back since! Jamie thinks about the things most walkers/sitters don’t… she checks the temperature, she pulls in packages if they’re out front, and sends you photos of your furry one without being asked. Jaime takes really good care of our dog Jager. He seems to be happier than when we leave him behind. She’s super nice - super reliable - I recommend Jaime to take care of your pets while you’re away or even while you’re around.
Jamie stayed at our house with our dog Ollie for an extended stay to care for our dog while we were away and she was absolutely fantastic. Ollie is a senior dog, and he needs twice daily shots of insulin for diabetes, and Jamie managed his care beautifully. Jamie was extremely caring , making sure to keep Ollie well socialized during our absence. She was available in real time to update us, and extremely diligent about ensuring that Ollie was always a happy dog. She was also extremely respectful of our home, which she also took great care of while we were away. We really felt like Jamie treated our dog, and us , like we were her family, and we look forward to working with her again in the future.
Jaime is the BEST! We recently bought a saltwater reef tank and needed someone to feed our fish and take care of our tank while we were away. Apparently, this is not easy to find! My dog Blaze goes absolutely insane with excitement when I mention going to Peaceful Pup to see Lauren! He normally has separation anxiety when it comes to leaving me, however, when we arrive at Peaceful Pups, he leaps out of the car and runs right to the door. I cannot sing the praises of Peaceful Pups Dog Care loudly enough. My dog had a rough passage prior to coming to my home. He endured losing a leg in Hurrican Marie in Puerto Rico. Peaceful Pups has worked with me to overcome his reactive quirks so he can have a much better life. I never worry for a second when he is in Lauren's care. She is a dog whisperer extraordinare. My dog howls when he knows she is coming. Praise from a pup who has had a tough time. THAT says it all!!
The staff was incredibly friendly. Watching the cameras, I could see them interacting warmly with the dogs and showing genuine care. I really appreciate that the dogs have access to outdoor play areas, and the spacious sleeping cots ensure they’ll be comfortable. It’s also fantastic that grooming services are available!
There are not enough superlatives to say how much we love Camp Bow Wow, Elmwood Park. We trust them 100% with our boy Primo and have been bringing him there for nearly 12 years now. The facility is one of the cleanest, best run and caring places to bring your dog. They greet you by name when you arrive, are very friendly, and always attentive to all your dogs needs. You have the ability to watch your beloved pooch on one of their many web cams so you will always know what's happening. They do a great job of having the dogs grouped by size, so that none of the little ones get smushed by all the affection from the bigger ones.
If Missy could drive she would steal my keys to come everyday of week! It feels good to know your pouch is in good hands. Kudos to the staff for making them feel like home
Check-in staff for our interview and first (free) half day of day care was very helpful. They were able to walk us through the interview process and provided information on how we could check in with our dog throughout the day with their facility cameras. Upon pickup, they also offered us a tour of the facility and described a typical day of daycare and boarding at Camp Bow Wow. The transparency was very reassuring and gave us the confidence to know that our dog would have a safe and fun time with the staff at this facility.
I love how they get to know my dogs and watch out for them and bring any issues or observations to our attention. My dog Baxter has been coming to Camp Bow Wow for 3 years now and he loves it there. He is thriving and we always have impeccable service, especially from Roman and Rose.We also recently brought Baxter's sister Willow to join him at Camp Bow Wow as well and she loves it too. She gets so excited when she knows she is going to daycare. We could not be happier with their level of service and will stay loyal customers!
My Schnoodle, Clara, is 5 months old and went to 1/2 a day for daycare for the first time last week. She had a little anxiety when I left, but then relaxed as time went on and she passed her interview. I also added some playtime which she had fun with. I brought her back on 5/04/24 for a full day. She had a friend there this time which I was happy she had some company. She played and the lady, forgot her name, also spent time and played with the puppies and Clara had so much fun. You can see the care they give to our furbabies. I also treated my Clara to a bath, teeth cleaning and ear cleaning and she came back to me smelling so good. She was tired, but, she had alot of fun and was happy to see me. I highly reccomend EP Camp BowWow for your furbaby care. The staff is wonderful, prices very fair, they keep it very, very clean throughout the day and the care they show the furbabies is priceless. Happy FurMom snd FurBaby 👧🏼🐶🐾🐾
My furry baby has been going to Camp Bow Wow for over a year now. I can’t express how much we love this place. Starting with the great staff who always welcomes everyone with smiles and great kindness. Very clean facility, no yucky dog smell. Most importantly I know my furry baby is safe and having an amazing time . As soon as my baby gets into the car after a long day with his furry friends and camp counselor, he falls asleep the whole car ride home. I recommend camp bow wow to all my friends and family. I can't think of any company/retailer/store I've been happier to find in the past several years that we use on a consistent basis. Doggy Deuce has been our pooper scooping service for many many years, 3 dogs and counting. We now use them for pet sitting while we're away on vacation or just for overnights. While we're away, we get pictures of them, updates on how they're doing and Chris even goes the extra mile and offers to bring in our mail and take care of the pool while we're gone. I challenge anyone to find a small business that offers such service! Also, when I'm looking for any other service recommendation, (window washing, pool closing, carpet cleaning, etc.) Chris from Doggy Deuce always knows the best businesses to call upon. He's part of a big network of local businesses that have proven to be trustworthy and capable; the best can always recommend the best. Doggy Deuce is also an active advocate for pet adoption and strongly care about the welfare of animals. And the office staff is extremely attentive and available, returning emails and calls with very quick turnaround. This company is the real deal. I've recommended them to 3 other families on my block who now also use them! Our pets are our family, our house is our home, and I wouldn't trust either of them to anyone but Doggy Deuce. I'd be happy to offer a personal recommendation to anyone who reaches out.
We have been using them for a couple of years now. Our last trip away I scheduled them to visit my home twice a day for 3 days to take care of my 15-1/2 yr old Yorkie who is partially blind and deaf. On the final day of service I received an invoice I could not open so I emailed them back and requested it sent in a different format. The following day on our way home from our trip I received a call from Becky advising me that unfortunately, she mixed up the dates and no one visited my home to take care of my dog for 3 days. She proceeded to explain she was sick the day she took my appointment and probably shouldn't have been making appointments. What I don't understand is how an invoice is sent for the correct dates, but yet the dates were mixed up. These people are lucky my dog was alive. Barely alive, but she was! The dog was without water for 3 days. One more day and I doubt she would've survived. This is a huge mistake! This is a life we are talking about here. These mistakes cannot happen. I was very upset and angry and refused to further speak to them. There is nothing they can do to make this OK other than REFUND me my money they took without providing services! I would never recommend them to anyone!
I have been using doggie deuce now for over four years and they are amazing! I use them for both dog boarding and pooper scooper and they are super dependable, accommodating and (in my opinion) reasonably priced. Chris (the owner) and Jen (the manager) are super nice and you get a sense that they truly love what they do and the dogs. My dogs actually look happy when they leave to stay there while we are on vacation. While the dogs are there- they send pictures and updates which is awesome. I cannot say enough how much I love them and how much easier it is having them in our life. If you love your dogs as much as we do- you definitely want to give them a try the next time you are going away.
In addition to loving and caring for my own personal dogs, I spend much of my time rescuing animals in need. As a result, my yard tends to suffer. I enlisted the help of Doggy Deuce a few months ago and I couldn't be happier. The service is extremely reliable and the staff is friendly and pleasant.
I have been using Doggie Deuce for my dog Chase. They are incredible in so many ways. They care for my pet as much as I do. They are reliable, trustworthy, honest, caring and I would use no one else for my boy. I use them as a walker and also for a stay when I am away. Unfortunately this company has yet again failed to properly trained or communicate with their new staff. Once again one of the their employees have left my gate open for my two pit bulls which are not dog friendly. They were instructed since the beginning to call my phone before they came so we can ensure the dogs were inside, but they failed to do that too. If he was confused as I was told. He should have called the office, myself or rescheduled. I find it very disturbing and hard to understand the lack of common sense of this person. He not only put my dogs in danger but other dogs too.
Doggy Deuce watches my pup when I go out of town and she has so much fun. They take such great care of her and make sure she is treated like a princess.

I love Furry Tails and every single staff member who works for them. They make you feel so comfortable leaving your furry children in their care. They really cater to those who are working all day as they conveniently have a pickup and drop off option, which is beyond helpful. The team communicates with you throughout the day with pictures and videos of your pup. My dog LOVES going, taking the “pawty” bus, and playing with his friends in a safe and nurturing environment all day. He is absolutely wiped by the time he gets home. I would recommend Furry Tales to anyone looking for a nice, safe, vetted place to send their dog. Amanda, the owner, is also a certified trainer! We love Furry Tails!

Our rescue Great Pyrenees Pup, Delaney did a ~3 week board and train to help with her outside/walk anxiety and skittishnish and it was the quickest turnaround in confidence building we had seen in a year of working with her since adopting her. I cannot say enough great things about Amanda and her team at FurryTales. We have been using them for close to 2 years now and they have truly been outstanding for every service. The team has attended our wedding so we could have our dog Diesel Buddy at the ceremony, we have hired them to petsit while we were away on vacation, they have helped train our 2nd new dog/member of our family Dexter, and watched both of our dogs while we were welcoming our son into the world. Furrytales now regularly walks both dogs while I am home on maternity leave and unable to take the baby outside. Furrytales had truely been apart of the most important days of our lives and have given us great comfort to know diesel and dexter are being watched and taken care of by such an incredible team. i think it goes without saying that i highlllly recommend their services.
FurryTalesNJ was Halley's (Standard Goldendoodle) trainer, is Halley's place of daycare and preferred boarding next to home. Amanda, Daniele, Terreca, Olivia and the FurryTales family are amazing professionals, truly cares about our pets and their pawrents. Amanda is an amazing trainer. After one session, Halley was loose leash walking. Halley has made many furry friends at daycare (with regular video updates of play time) and developed a strong social interaction with other furry friends. We would highly recommend ALL of FurryTales' services.
Can’t say enough amazing things about FurryTales! So much so that I’ve referred up to 5 friends for their services. We take our dog Butter to daycare every Thursday. He enjoys his supervised time with his friends and is cared for by the FurryTales staff. Amanda and Terreca are always sending photos and videos while he is at daycare so we know he is happy and having fun! Not only do they have daycare, we use them for boarding too! Dropping Butter off and picking up from boarding is close by and easy. I give them his schedule and his little backpack of food, toys, etc. I always get photos and updates on how he’s doing throughout the stay. And sometimes he even has another furry friend that’s staying too. I love that Butter stays with someone and at their residence. Not some kennel or crated all day. Overall, the prices are so reasonable and service is extremely convenient. They’re very responsive to emails and messages. Any question or request has been handled promptly. I love this place because they know us by first names and our dog. We aren’t just another couple or dog that won’t be remembered after the day is over. Seriously - come here if you want your dog happy. Look at his face - (he’s the photogenic one)!
FurryTales has been great for my new rescue pup -- she goes for daycare and has done some training with Amanda as well. They keep you updated with photos throughout the day and their pick-up/drop-off option is super convenient. They're pretty booked on boarding though, so be sure to schedule further in advance!
Amanda, Terreca, and Danielle care for my pup as if she were their own. They are incredibly attentive and professional and I never worry about leaving my dog with them. I know she is in safe and capable hands! I especially appreciate all the photo and video updates and constant communication.

Pedro is an excellent dog walker. I have recommended him many times to neighbors and friends without hesitation. He is very attentive, reliable, and caring. I have a senior dog that Pedro has been taking care of (because a great dog walker does more than just walk your dog) for the last four years. He is incredibly patient and loving as she begins to slow down in her golden years. I’m grateful everday I leave the apartment knowing Pedro will be there to exercise and spend time with my beloved dog.
I couldn't be happier with Pedro and Hot Paws Pet Care. My pup can be a bit of a handful so I was a bit nervous about finding a walker for her, but I knew from the moment I met Pedro that she would be in good hands! Pedro is *obviously* a dog-lover and has a lot of patience. He is also extremely communicative and reliable; he has NEVER not shown up for a walk and has never canceled on us. It is SUCH a relief not having to worry about my dog while I'm at work! I also always receive text updates about the walk, which is great. All I know is that my dog absolutely adores Pedro. BOTTOM LINE: You can't go wrong with Hot Paws Pet Care. P.S. While Pedro is our every day walker, I have met two other walkers with Hot Paws Pet Care and both were great, too! It was important to me that my dog could expect the same walker every single day, which Pedro accommodated, but for two days during which Pedro was out of town we had sub walkers. Pedro was gracious enough to give plenty of notice about his trip AND set up a time for me and my dog to meet the sub walkers beforehand to make sure everything would be good. We had Pedro dog-sit our 2 dogs at our wedding recently at Wave Hill in the Bronx. He was TREMENDOUS! I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog sitter. He was amazing to work with and such a great guy. He took phenomenal care of our dogs (1 big dog and 1 little dog). The dogs were honestly upset to be leaving his care at the end of the night. Pedro was a class act. He dressed incredibly well and was such a pleasure to work with. We were so happy we found him!
Pedro has been taking care of our Jack Russell since 2013 and she absolutely loves him. Pedro is a total professional and a pleasure to work with. He took care of our cats while we were away for the holidays. Pedro and Vincent have been walking my large, lazy dog for nearly 2 years. He is professional, flexible and easy to work with. He is always cheerful and pleasant and really cares about our dog. Our dog can be quite resistant to getting off the couch to walk during the day - especially in the summer or if it's raining - and Hot Paws can always get him happily out the door. They are awesome and a real asset to the neighborhood!
I hired Pedro to take care of my GSD while I was working out of state. Pedro did an excellent job taking care of my pride and joy. He promptly gave me updates every time he completed a walk and kept me up to date on his mood. I even got to FaceTime with my dog which I think help put both our minds at ease. The Hot Paws Pet Care team is amazing!!! Pedro has been walking my cockapoo Gigi for a few years now and she absolutely adores him! He’s so loving, playful and understanding with her! We have been using doggie paradise since last December and every experience since has been delightful. Doggie paradise staff know how to take care of our goodledoodle, mahalo, every time we bring him he runs straight to the staff and is ready to play. Mahalo comes home after every trip happy and tired! We could not be more thankful.
I have place my dog many times at Doggie Paradise and everytime was a winner. The staff is very friendly and will go the extra mile. I love their cameras so I can see how well she is playing with the other dogs.
Best daycare for my pup!! She has loads of fun all day long and comes home exhausted. Staff is friendly and attentive. Only minor complaint is the smell in the lobby. More air fresheners needed or something lol
It's a great sign that Tillie gets so excited when we mention that she is going to Doggie Paradise. She loves it there. I love watching her play with all the other dogs. on the cameras. I know she is in good hands when she goes there on vacation for a few days. This place is the best and I wouldn't send her anywhere else. Here my pittie with her cousin Rookie ( lab).
Our dog Shortee spent 5 days at Doggie Paradise. The team was so good with him. He loves all of the caregivers! They sent a daily email providing an update and pictures. Ive been using Doggie Paradise for about a month and I love this place. The place is clean and the staff is great. Chloe loves the staff. She’s always excited as soon as we pull up to the lot. She knows she gets to play with her friends. They take care of my pup. The pricing and packages are more affordable than other daycare I have looked into. I highly recommend this place if you are in need of a daycare for your pup.
First time trying Doggie Paradise grooming services. They were very professional and kind towards my pup and I. My dog is 12 years old and going blind so they listened to my concerns and were very patient with me. The groomer Rafael was so nice and did a great job, and the front desk lady was super helpful.
We started going to Doggie Paradise 10 years ago when we lived in Rutherford. We bought a house 35 minutes away 8 years ago but still will ONLY go here. We trust them with our dogs so inherently - they are caring, kind, they really get to know each of our dogs and their personalities, and when we pull into the parking lot, our dogs get SO excited....which tells us everything we need to know.
My Maxie Boy (Chocolate Lab) loves it here! He gets to play with all of his friends during the day and sleep comfy at night! I have used Doggie Paradise several times to board Max overnight or just daycare during the day. He has stayed there for as long as a week and when he is boarded overnight he gets a free exit bath and comes home nice and soft. I do remind them of his allergy to chicken whenever he stays there. A few times he has come home SUPER thirsty and the one time was just from a bath so I would like him to get more opportunity to drink during the day. Even if he is only there for a bath, I think he'd get the opportunity to drink water at some point being that he was there for 3+ hours. Other than that they are great! I LOVE the web cams. It gave us an opportunity to check on him while we are on vacation and the kids love seeing him on the screen. Max will usually come home from his 'vacation' exhausted from playing so much that he'll sleep for about 24 hours when he gets home. LOL As long as he is safe, fed and clean we are all happy! Doggie paradise has been great with our two dogs. They are able to manage them without any problems and the camera access is a big plus!
