Michael is great. He is friendly, dependable, accommodating and flexible. He willingly drove up to our house the night before we needed him so that we could all meet each other before we left. Unfortunately, while Michael was driving to us, Jackson had a run-in with a porcupine 😭 and I had to take him to the emergency vet for treatment. We returned at 1:30am and decided to change our plans so I could stay at home with Jackson for a few days while he recovered. Michael was able to meet Jackson in the morning - they hit it off beautifully - and we all agreed to try to have Michael back another time. He was kind, understanding and gracious in the face of our unexpected change of plans. We look forward to the opportunity to book him again to sit with Jackson in the future. 🙂
It was an absolute pleasure to sit for Blu and Redd. Both cats are very friendly and are happy to come cuddle with you. Blu is indeed like glue and will follow you around the house. If you leave the bedroom door open at night, they will come sleep with you on the bed (which I found awesome). The house is lovely to stay in and just a 30min walk from downtown. There are also lots of great hikes around within walking distance. I met Jeanie before the sit to show me around the house and explain the routine from the cats. Everything was very clear and you’ll find everything you need in the house. She’s a very welcoming woman and I could always reach her during the sit. I had a really great time with the cats and would absolutely recommend!
My time with Bernie at Leesa and Henry's home in Point Cook was a dream run for a house sitter. I felt so at home, and as if Bernie and I were already friends. He is such a sweetheart, and no trouble at all! The home is modern, clean and comfortable. The area is great for walks and shopping. Transportation by train is good, with a limited express from the CBD running on weekdays, and the walk from the station can be through parkland. There is also a connecting bus a very short distance from the home. I would be happy to return for another sit.
Terrific sit! Beautifully renovated home in a great area. Jinjoo, Bambi, Banjo and Suki were all wonderfully friendly and fun to hang with. The pups loved taking walks through the neighborhood and cuddling on the couch and Suki was always up for a belly rub and head scratching. Communication was great all throughout. Really couldn't have been any better. We wouldn't hesitate to sit again. Thank you!
We loved talking care of Floyd and Diggory. They are absolute sweethearts: affectionate, friendly, very playful, and with huge personalities! Both cats went outside during the day but neither strayed far from the garden and they were always home in plenty of time for their meals. As Georgie explained, Floyd was more reserved at first. But, after a couple of feeds, he settled with us and wanted his equal share of attention and play :-) Georgie and her family are lovely and made us feel at home. Georgie provided a thorough welcome guide and was great to communicate with leading up to and during the sit. The house is stylish, clean, and comfortable with loads of space, natural light, and a beautiful garden. It's in a safe, quiet, and green part of London: we loved exploring the local parks, riverside paths, and cafes. Several supermarkets are less than 10 minutes away on foot and Tube/bus links to further afield in London are excellent. We highly recommend pet-sitting for Georgie and we would leap at the chance to take care of Floyd and Diggory again in the future. Thanks, Georgie!
It was a real pleasure to take care of Ivor and the guinea pigs at Lucy & Jamie's lovely home, during our recent visit to Pembrokeshire. We warmed to Ivor immediately, he was lovely company on all of the amazing coastal walks we did - his recall is great and he's just as happy joining you on a hike for hours as he is curling up at your feet for a cozy evening in. Tulip and Primrose are very sweet - we enjoyed a few cuddles during our stay, and it's always a pleasure watching them tuck into their snacks - we'd highly recommend sitting for Lucy and her family. If you want to relax in a quaint little Costa Rican town, San Isidro de Grecia is the perfect respite. Judy's casita offered everything I needed to be comfortable and warmly welcomed. Judy graciously made arrangements for me to meet other ex-pats who included me in weekly gatherings and showed me around. If traveling solo (like I was), a reasonable command of Spanish is recommended. I was able to safely walk 45 minutes every morning and found the local folks very welcoming. 'El gato' was a sweetheart, who acclimated to my presence and frequently curled up with me at night. Judy left a thorough home guide and recommendations for local excursions. I had a great experience and some lovely friends along the way. Pura vida!
