Roisin
I just loved my stay with Ruby in Roisin's super home in Blackrock. Roisin is a warm and outgoing person, who was very welcoming. She introduced me to her lovely friends, also so friendly, who I could contact if needed. Everything was well organised for my stay ...just perfect!...with all relevant information and advice on 'what to see' in the neighbourhood. I fell in love very quickly with Ruby and she was so easy to be with and care for. Definitely she is an 'old soul!' She likes company and I just loved her company as we explored the area together. The modern house is equipped with everything one might need. There are spectacular views across salt marsh, sea and distant hills. I found the view and surroundings very 'zen', relaxed and meditative. You will immediately 'chill' if you sit in this beautiful location. Thank you Roisin and Ruby (hugs and kisses) for the opportunity for my wonderful experience.

We miss our dear friends terribly!

River entertained us for hours swimming our front. We would float around in the water and he would swim back and forth under the dock chasing a tennis ball. When he is not playing in the water, River carries around his stuffed toys suckling them like a puppy with his momma.

May Day, the sweet boy, is a little slower in his seasoned age but did his best keeping up with River who was adequately named. MayDay enjoys cuddles on *his* bed especially when tucking him in at night. He also enjoys sprawling outback. The patio is definitely a nap trap for both the dogs and the sitters.

Blue, my buddy, enjoyed being brushed, especially behind the ears and under the chin. He appreciates his cuddle time first thing in the morning. He slept well even though he is used to holding his mama's hand all night.

Mischief, also adequately named, would make his appearances inside on occasion then take off and explore his outside kingdom until the sun goes down.

This home is a huge beautiful maze! We spent alot of time sitting on the lanai, staring out at the sparkling water and taking in nature. There are so many happy hummingbirds pausing in front of the window for a drink. Osprey families and their fantastic nests perch on the pier and swoop down to hunt on the daily.

Frank and Vicki were wonderful hosts. They made us food for our stay and kept the fridge full of yummies and adult beverages. We felt humbled and spoiled by their hospitality. They make you feel at home and truly want their housesitters to enjoy their home and surrounding area.

Not that you would want or need to leave this beautiful compound, but the town of Tappahannock is about a 15 minute drive. We recommend checking out NN Burger and their delish FreakShakes.

Due to incoming unexpected weather, our sit was cut short, but we sincerely hope that we would be privileged to be able to sit for our new friends again in the future.

Dan
Dan and Madelaine have a beautiful home. Dusty is very outgoing and affectionate, and Messi is quiet and soulful and it is an extra special feeling when she warms up. Garfunkel is the snugglier of the cats and Simon will come say hello if you have snacks. Fort Greene is one of the nicest neighbourhoods I have stayed in in New York--just the right combination of city and home-y, with green spaces and quiet nights as well as nice restaurants and everything in walking distance. Dan and Maddy stay in contact and have everything well-organized for your stay.I loved this housesit. Highly recommend.
