Pat and Bob are not your typical hosts. Dulce is not your typical dog. Bend is not your typical city. It didn't take long for us to figure that out. We spend a little over three weeks in Bend and we both, quite frankly, fell in love . . . first with Dulce, then with Pat and Bob, then with Bend. Hard to describe how it felt during those three weeks, but we both had a really hard time leaving Saturday morning. Usually we are ready for the next adventure, but it was something about Dulce (she had the same personality as us), something about that beautiful, comfortable, well placed home, and something about Pat and Bob (even when they were away in Canada) that made us start looking at our calendar for the next time we might visit. Pat is hands down, the best host we have ever had with THS. If you're ever in Bend, just ask around, they'll know who she is.
I’ve had a very lovely stay at Valerie & Maxime’s place. Their home is beautiful and very comfy, you have direct access to the parc of the Chateau de Brissac. Lulu is an easy going cat, which made it simple to look after her. Would love to come and sit again :) Merci !
Extremely warm, welcome hosts who provided us lots of information and even showed us around the local area before they left, which was very much appreciated! Wonderful home and absolutely lovely pets, the dogs were very well behaved and are sweet and affectionate. On walks too, were easy to handle and were well behaved with other dogs and people. We felt especially sad to say goodbye to the dogs and would love to sit for them again if we ever found ourselves in the area, thank you so much to Carolyn and Jamahl for having us :)
