I recently brought my dog “Pup” in for daycare and grooming. I couldn't be happier with our experience! The staff was incredibly caring and attentive. The kennel was clean and welcoming, which put both me and my dog at ease. Pup had a great time playing with new friends and came home squeaky clean and smelling fresh. I highly recommend The Pawms for anyone who wants their pet to be cared for in a loving environment.

Great place but was a little disappointed. My puppy always smells good when I take him to other places for a bath but this time he didnt even smell good (not bad but not fresh) and his little paws didn't even look like they had been washed. I was worried because he sounded like his throat was either dry or something when he came out. Not sure of he wasn't given any water or leash too tight on his neck while bathing. Also, his nails looked like they had been clipped with a dull clipper.

Pawms is a great place to trust with your fur child! They not only take good care of everything your pup needs, but it means the world when they call them by name upon entering or post pictures for you to stay updated.

We LOVE pawms! We have been sending buddy to daycare here for almost 2 years. We have always had a wonderful experience. Our dog loves it here and is always excited to go. It means a lot as a dog owner when you walk through the doors and each dog is greeted by the staff. They are wonderful and we could not be more thankful for everyone that works at pawms!

This was my Annie dog’s first stay with pawsms. She had a great time and came back very clean and happy! We will be using them again. They were EXCELLENT!!!

We've been clients of The Pawms for two years and we always get great service at a reasonable price. Our Havanese always gets to play in doggie day care when he's there for grooming so that is an added bonus too!

We board our cat here every time we go out of town. They take phenomenal care of him and they remember him each time I call for reservations. We also get my dog groomed here. By far the best grooming he has ever had. She is so good with the dogs and is super attentive to detail. I seriously can’t recommend Pawms Vestavia enough.

We are so happy with Pawms! We boarded our two dogs here for a week and they loved it. They loved it so much that when we brought them back home one of them sat at the door wanting to go back! Pawms posted photos of the dogs in Day Care every day. The employees were always so nice when we called to check on the dogs. We will definitely be using them for our boarding needs and will be sending our dogs to day care often!

Our pup has been to Pawms Vestavia since she was only a few months old, for both boarding and daycare, with nothing but positive experiences. Excellent facilities and caring staff, plus reasonable pricing/ packages make Pawms Vestavia a must-recommend.

Meghan the trainer is exceptional, professional, knowledgeable and caring. We had our dog Riley set up for the 4 week train and board. Meghan did a great job training our dog to be a more well behaved dog they listens to commands. The grooming and veterinary care wellness check was top notch! The Birmingham Tattersall location staff consisting of Meghan, Molly, Landon, & Josie are my faves!! The constant love and affection they show to my Riley is highly valued and appreciated!! I trust them Wholeheartedly with a very important member of my family!!

Pet paradise in Birmingham is awesome, I was nervous for my pup cuz he doesn’t get along with a lot of dogs, but the staff there made sure he was fine and even texted me and updated me how he was mingling with everyone. Jules is the best person, she was so nice with giving all the information. If you have any anxiety about leaving your fur baby with them do not worry about it. They will take of your baby like their own. He was constantly on their laps lol

Very nice staff! She knew who my dog was when I came to pick him up! She described his behavior exactly as we saw on the cameras so I knew she really knew my little Bear!! And not just randomly saying stuff.

I love being able to check in on Jacks through the cameras! The staff is super kind as well and does a great job of looking after our sweet boy and of checking in with any updates or questions! Jacks loves his time at Pet Paradise and all the sweet staff members!

We were out of the country and my dogs became ill while being boarded at Pet Paradise. Pet Paradise contacted me, and then took my dogs to our own vet for treatment. Luckily it was not serious, but the vet did prescribe some meds. Of course we were worried, but we were comforted to know that our dogs were well looked after until we could get home. Thank you Pet Paradise!

We had a family emergency and needed last minute boarding for our two babies. Our regular very would not take them because they did not have a flu shot. I downloaded the app and had them booked in minutes.

When I picked my dog up after him being here for 3 nights, he came home with bloody diarrhea. I am thoroughly disappointed with our experience. Upon pickup, I over heard that another dog also was experiencing the same thing. They had no explanation to offer other than the fact the it could be anxiety which has never been a problem before.

I really want to love this place. It is convenient, beautiful, immaculate, has a little bit of everything. Our first visit there, my doodle was completely shaved without my being informed. I was aware there would be some shaving due to matting - so I chalked it up to my lack of experience (this was our first grooming). Then I noticed he had several small knicks from the clippers in his "armpits" and a round wound inside his ear, about the size of a nickel that has caused him to shake his head in pain. Again, trying to excuse the issues as minor, I took him for a second visit to board for one night. 48 hours later, he's waking me up with kennel cough. I know that is always a risk with boarding, but 2 issues within 10 days just seems tough to write off. :(

Absolutely the best care,, especially for my 2 who don’t like being left any. They came home happy instead of traumatized at a previous kennel we used. I will continue to brag about your amazing establishment.

Robin has been taking care of mine and my family's animals for over 10+ years and will continue on for many many more! We could not ask for any better of a dog sitter! Not only does Robin take care of our animals, but she has also given my family a true friendship and a person we can always count on and trust no matter what with our four legged fur babies! Everyone wants to leave their companions with someone they can trust and Robin has never disappointed! We always leave knowing our animals are being WELL taken care of! Every time my family and I leave to go out of town our dogs start barking and getting excited because they already know they are about to go to Robin's and they absolutely love it! Not only has she taken care of our dogs, but she has also came over to our house multiple times and fed our cat while out of town, she has tended to my outside dogs, and she has even came over and helped us with stray animals! This woman is so selfless towards animals and everyone she knows. Always willing to be flexible and work with you no matter what. We will never take our dogs to another vet to stay over night while we are out of town! Robin will always be our go-to and you should too!!!!

We love Robin! My mom's dog Princeton has been staying with Robin for years, since we found Kritter Care he has never been left with anyone else. He loves Robin's and gets so excited when we pull in the driveway. There is nothing like knowing that your four legged baby is well loved while you are away. The home environment and care that Robin shows to each animal in her care is wonderful.

My dog loves coming to Kritters Home Pet Care and begins "singing" blocks away when he realizes where we are headed. He has the opportunity to play both inside and outside in safe, supervised areas. He enjoys interacting with other dogs, but he gets lots of personal attention too. I feel that my dog is loved and cared for with individual attention that isn't possible in larger group settings. So happy that a friend introduced me to Robbin and this great home based pet care. We absolutely love Miss Robbin!!! Anytime I say “Go to Miss Robbins?” to my Basset Hound Earl he tilts his head and gets so excited. He is always greeted by all his friends at the gate and is worn out when we get home. Robbin adores all the dogs that come to daycare or to board as if they were her own. She has truly made her home into a dog heaven. I wouldn’t take Earl anywhere else!

We have been loyal customers for almost nine years. This home based pet care service provides our dog with an open and comfortable atmosphere. Robin and her staff know his personality and needs and can interact with him in a more natural setting that is second only to our own home. When we drop him off he runs in willingly and when he leaves he is happy and calm. This was not the case the few times we used kennel based services. For a warm and personal place to entrust the care our beloved pet, there's nothing that compares

Robbin is wonderful! She really loves dogs and treats her daycare doggies and boarders as her own. I took my dog Simba to her 3 to 4 days a week for over two years, until sadly he passed away last month. He always was excited to get there and I felt good knowing he was getting to play outside with his buddies. Robbin spends a lot of time outside with them too and didn't have designated time of day for outside play. If the weather permitted the dogs are outside most of the day. She has a large fenced in property with a large dog house. She is very flexible on pick up and drop off times too, which is very convenient. I never worried about my dog when he was with Robbin. I got married out of town last summer and really wanted Simba to be in the wedding but I really didn't have anyone who would be able to be in charge of him, and Robbin offered to do it! I was boarding Simba with her for the wedding and honeymoon, and she graciously took time out of her weekend to drive to Gadsden with Simba so he could be there and part of my wedding! I don't think anyone else would have offered to do that! She is truly a sweet and caring person and she loves dogs.

Robbin has been sitting for my dogs and cats for 14 years and I have been extremely happy with her! I used to have to go out of town twice a month and she kept my dogs at her house and came to my house to check on my cats. Now it's not as often but I still use her when I'm out of town. She is always reliable and she truly loves the animals. She pets them and plays with them and gives them special treats. She is also much more flexible than a vet regarding drop off and pick up times which helps me a lot and saves me from paying for extra days. And at her house they have the run of the yard and house and are not in a cage the whole time like at the vet. And there is no extra charge for "play time"! I would highly recommend her.

I will only use this sitting service. I have known Robbin for years and completely trust her with my animals. She has done house sitting, boarding, mid-day walks and vacation sitting without any problems, as well as given meds without any extra charges. Robbin has never turned me down, even with I've called at the last minute; and she didn't charge me extra! I have referred at least four friends and all have reported that they have been happy. Highly recommended!

Kritters Home Pet Care is the second home for my labs. They get excited when they know they are going and immediately jump in the van. We have often received pictures of our babies playing with toys and having fun while there. I have boarded dogs in several places in the past, but will never take them anywhere else but here, they are treated like family <3

Robin is such a natural with dogs. She treats my dog like one of her own and he absolutely loves going to daycare. I am so thankful I found her!! Would absolutely recommend her to anyone.

Rudy, our Frenchton, did a 7-day Board and Train with Rick and it went very well. Rudy also goes to Barking Zone 2 - 3 days per week and absolutely loves it! He loves the trainers and is always well cared for while in their care.

Rick trained our Pyrenees/Aussie mix for a week. It was time and money well spent! She came home with an excellent foundation to be a happier (and more obedient) member of our family. Thank you Rick!

Where would I be without The Barking Zone! They always take such good care of my two dogs (one of which is a new puppy). Love picking them up from 'daycare' because they are wiped out by the time we get home. Just enough time to feed them and put them to bed:) Thankful for Rick and his amazing staff, always! JGreen

The Barking Zone has been the best thing for my Cavachon! He has made so many doggie friends & become much more social. All I have to say is ‘daycare’ & he sits waiting to go to the car for his ride there. Everyone there is absolutely excellent with him & I know he’s getting the best care possible every time!

Barking Zone has been fantastic for my pup Lou. He is beside himself with excitement when entering the clinic, and always comes home exhausted. It has been ideal for a high energy dog such as him.

I don't know what we were thinking when we adopted two puppies from the same litter, who both grew to be over 50 pounds. I was heartbroken over the loss of my beloved Pepper who hardly needed any training and was the best angel dog. Anyway, fast forward to 59# Lulu and her 63# brother Levi, who had gotten beyond our control with barking, jumping, chewing, and separation anxiety. We knew from boarding our daughter's dog with Rick at Barking Zone 4+ years ago that it was going to be the best solution for these siblings. At 15 months old, we knew it was the optimal time for them to take the remote collar board and train party. Sooner might have been better, but we were able to combine their boarding with our vacation. Rick and his head trainer posted daily updates on instagram and Facebook so we could see their progress. When we got home, these dogs were obedient and so much calmer, still remaining loving and sweet. Some people worry that prong and education collar training will crush a dog's spirit, but don't - Rick and crew know what they are doing! Lulu and Levi are happy and healthy, loving as always, and we are continuing to reinforce what they learned to keep them calm and obedient. We highly recommend The Barking Zone! Thanks Rick!!

Upon recommendation from our friends, we had our two dogs, Duke and Bentley, do a week long board and train with Rick and his staff at The Barking Zone. Both our dogs were big time pullers on walks and weren't the best at following commands at home. After a week, we were able to pick up Bentley, but Rick suggested a few more days for Duke and for him to get a remote collar. Rick was great at both of the pick up sessions for our dogs. He showed us how to do everything and then watched and helped us do the commands with the dogs to make sure we had them down. We could not be happier with the results we have seen from their training.

Rick and his staff have been a great in helping us with our 6 month old puppy who loved to counter-surf and would not come when called. In addition, his program introduced our puppy how to socialize with other dogs appropriately. We still have a lot to do on our own but Rick has given us the tools to succeed. His program includes written books and videos for us to reference if we need. We are extremely happy with the service and results!

My dog Moose was terrible on a walk and barked at every new person that came to my house. I decided to try the two week board and train program after hearing great things about The Barking Zone from coworkers. It's been great! I finally feel like I have the methods and tools to have the relationship with my dog that I want. He's much calmer and has improved significantly on walks. Also, the place command has been a game changer. Rick has been so helpful. He checks in and continues to provide help with techniques that we've had trouble with at home. We consider Pampered Pet Resort to be our pets’ 2nd home. We have been customers for longer than I can remember - at least 10 years. Our dog LOVES being boarded here - she is easily frightened by new people and places but never here! Our cat used to resist getting in his carrier but now walks right in, knowing where he is headed. The few times they have gotten sick, we have been reimbursed for vet costs - quickly and agreeably. We appreciate this small business and feel so fortunate that we found them!

Everyone at the Pampered Pet Resort is so kind! They treated my pup as if he was their own pet. Every morning when I would drop him off for daycare he would run towards the back tail wagging and ready for a fun day of play. The entire team is always so nice and makes sure to tell you how your pups day was at pick up. I recommend the Pampered Pet to anyone looking to board their fur baby or looking for a good, safe daycare option. They are careful to make sure and pair dogs together based on size and behavior. Pampered Pet Resort is THE best place for the care of our dogs! No one has ever done it better! Our dogs actually get excited when we pull up in the parking lot! The staff is super friendly and really care for all the “guests” like they were their own! This is the best place I have ever found for boarding our dogs- both short and long time!

This place is absolutely amazing and I will never leave my sweet kitty anywhere else to board him! I am a nervous cat mom and was very unsure when I dropped him off for the first time earlier this week. They took such good care of my sweet boy! My husband even received pictures of him during his exercise time. The staff is super friendly and you can tell they are all animal lovers! The cost is very affordable as well. Highly recommend!!

What are you looking for in a pet sitter? Well, I am looking at my fur babies reaction when I check them in as well as after I've picked them up. I have 1 cat & 1 nervous nelly dog. So while together, they were separated and apart during their stay. When I dropped off, they were met with good, chill & loving vibes. It was like that 1st time at your child's DayCare when you realized the kid was happy and you need not worry anymore. This was that same vibe. And now I no longer worry when they need to be boarded. Thank You Ladies!

My dog Henry gets so excited when we’re pulling up in the parking lot and comes back so happy every time I board him here. That’s how you know the staff is the best! It’s such a relief knowing he has a place like Pampered Pet where he’s in the best hands and always has fun. The few times I’ve done daycare he’s come back happy and pretty exhausted as well. I can’t recommend highly enough - even if you live in Birmingham city limits it’s worth the ~20 minute drive to bring your pup here.

Stephanie and her staff are fantastic. She cares for every dog like they are her own. The facility is super clean and very well organized. They have both an indoor and outdoor play area so your dog doesn't have to just sit in a kennel all day. I have used this service several times and always very pleased. One of the best things is they will give you a tour of their facility ANYTIME. You don't have to schedule an appointment to see this wonderful place. I drive from across town to use PPR because when I drop my dog off then I don't have to stress about her being taken care of properly. Peace of mind is priceless.

I am surprised to see that some reviewers have said that the staff is rude, because I have always had good interactions with them! They are always courteous to my family. If I have to leave a message, they are very good about calling me back to schedule my appointment. My dog has been going here for YEARS while we are on vacation. Once my dog needed veterinary care, and the resort contacted the vet, took him, and gave him all the extra attention he needed while we were out of town. My dog always seems happy and well cared for, so we will continuing to use the Pampered Pet for life.

I took my new little rescue dog to be groomed today and we had a wonderful experience! Not knowing what his background has been in the past, I was delighted that he was so relaxed and content when I picked him up today. Chelsea did a BEAUTIFUL job on this little shih Tzu!! She was incredibly patient and obviously worked hard to bond with my precious furry baby and did everything I asked her to do!! Thank you so much!!

Update: Justice for Lucky You may recall my review and photos depicting the horror my beloved baby endured at the Pawms Pet Resort Avondale. The why and the why not stop when Lucky was in distress from the painful cutting off of skin tags and the horrible shave down leaving him traumatized still went truthfully unanswered. The silver lining --- I took the matter to Court and won my case in my quest to get JUSTICE for LUCKY and also in hopes this will prevent other fur babies from experiencing the same harm. Bad professional behavior and not assuming accountability has consequences. Sadly, my baby has passed away....one of the sweetest little boy you would ever want to meet.

The Staff at the Pawns are the best. They love the dogs and are always nice and helpful! My Murphy loves to go there.

We have had great experiences with the Pawms Avondale. The staff are amazing; you can tell they love and care for dogs.

They always do an excellent job with my Bernadoodle! He’s terrible to even brush so I have no idea how they have him perfectly groomed, but they do an excellent t job! Making an appointment for grooming has always been a breeze.

Absolutely love this place for my dog! The staff is incredibly sweet and takes such great care of our fur child. They recognize her immediately and are so excited to have her for daycare or being boarded...which does this mama's heart a lot of good when we drop her off! Jeff and his team do such a great job and put our mind at peace when we are out of town. Not to mention, there is a vet right next door so if an emergency arises, she can be treated immediately. We've used Pawms - Avondale to board our dog (Bo) multiple times now. Everyone I've talked to who works there has always been very kind and professional. It is obvious that they care about the animals who stay there. When Bo had to take daily heartworm treatment medication, they listened and made sure they had all the instructions written down. They are also very fast and efficient during drop-off/pick-up. Bo always seems excited to go there and he is always happy/healthy when we pick him up. It's so reassuring to have a reliable place to take care of your pet when going out of town. I would recommend this place to anyone!!

LOVE this place! They always take such great care of my dog and I don’t feel worried or anxious leaving her here for boarding/daycare. Our pup, Scout, loves going to Humphrey’s! She runs to the door when we tell her she’s going to “school” that day. She always comes home tired & clean, which we really appreciate. We’ve used Humphrey’s for daycare, boarding, & grooming for several years and are always happy with the service. We said goodbye to our 13 year old Cockalier earlier this year, but truly can’t thank the staff at Humphrey’s enough for being so good to him. Thank you for loving our pups like your own!

Humphrey’s Dog Resort has been Fish’s second home for over two years and they’ve loved him like their own from day one. Whether it's accommodating him with boarding, splash pad parties, or posting memes of him on their instagram, they've always gone above and beyond making things fun. Their hours are perfect for nurses, and it's clear the staff genuinely love their jobs and the animals in their care. Honestly, I would die for Humphrey’s, and I’m pretty sure Fish would trade me for them any day!

They love your pets as much as you do and have a great sense of humor. I’ve been taking my dogs there since the day they opened and will never go anywhere else. All the activities, art, and pictures they do are so fun (and funny), and I love hanging them on my fridge. Humphrey’s is the best in town!

Our pups LOVE Humphrey's! We have one introvert and one extrovert pup and the Humphrey's team always find a way to meet both of their needs. We use them for daycare and boarding. The enhancement daycare has done wonders for our introvert and their boarding room service options are premium and make me feel confident they will get the love like they would at home :)

Humphrey's has been a life-saver for our sweet Winnie. We moved from a house with a big backyard to a smaller place downtown with no yard. Winnie did not adjust well. She became aggressive with other dogs and we couldn't take her out in public without worrying about her behavior. Since she has been going to Humphrey's her behavior has changed for the better! I can take her out to public places and she is well-behaved! The staff at Humphrey's is amazing! I can't single out just one staff member because every single one I have spoken with knows my dog and loves her. They truly know what they are doing and they treat each animal with love and positive reinforcement. I highly recommend Humphrey's Dog Resort!!

This is the BEST grooming and daycare service ever! My puppy is very shy but when we picked her up from daycare, she was playful and in a VERY good mood. It's like we have a completely different dog! And she looks GORGEOUS! Thank you Humphreys! This is her new grooming spot from NOW ON!

We absolutely love Humphrey’s for day care. The team is extremely friendly and the drop off/pick up is super easy. I appreciate that you can book individual days as needed an not need to commit to specific days. Buying packages is also very easy. Everything is super clean and we love checking social media for photos of our pup. Most importantly, he gets very excited as we pull up and can’t wait to go in. He’s tuckered out when we get him home and is ready for bed. It’s safe to say Humphrey’s is our pups happy place.

I would highly suggest Humphrey's Dog Resort! We weren't even able to board our dog there due to our own personal reasons. But the time Joanna took to walk me through their services and how accommodating they are for all types of dogs was mind blowing. She is extremely informative and I could tell she was already prepared and excited about the possibility of having our fur baby stay with them! We hope to get to board her there soon!

I’ve been bringing my big guy Bingley to Humphrey’s for more than 2 years. They take wonderful care of my guy, including adapting to his some of his idiosyncrasies. He comes home at night completely wiped out from a long day of playing. I never have to worry when I board him because everyone is responsive and adaptable. They also do a wonderful job when he gets bathed and groomed into his handsome self. I highly recommend Humphrey’s.

My dog Millie and I love Humphrey’s. They are always very friendly, and happy to see her! Millie has tons of energy so going to daycare daily is a must for her. She also boards, and is groomed at Humphrey’s. I’ve never been disappointed with anything at Humphrey’s.

I love Bob the big dog services. Bob is a nice man. We were hesitant to let strangers in our house while we are away but I have a dog that is not socialized and we knew she would not do well in a kennel due to so many other dogs. Also, having two dogs, the cost got pricey for two of them together. My dogs are not caged in so we were concerned with leaving them in a kennel in a pen for a week. I found Bob the big dog services online and he came and sat down with my husband and I and met with the dogs. They took well to him. We discussed a plan for the routine WE needed for our dogs based off the best schedule for them and he was able to accommodate. I know they do routine services if you need them regularly. He is also available on holidays, which is when we are out of town mostly and summer vacations so we use their services for those times. He was a perfect fit for our family and fur babies. We got an update by text or email while we were away. Our dogs got out of the gate the first time we went out of town and he went over there and got them back in the gate and did a temp fix on our gate that worked until we got back into town. He updated us and assured us everything was fine. He won us over when he went the extra mile. We love Bob and highly recommend his services.
