Fiona came to housesit for us recently and I found her to be a very friendly engaging person. She looked after our dog Ella very well, and was very flexible with arrangements. We live in a remote location, and she was totally unphased by this! I would say that she is very self sufficient and competent and would be happy for her to return.
Can I give 6+ stars? Liv (Olivia) and Ryan were one of the best sitters we've had! Everything, and I mean everything, was easy and effortless with this couple. Kofi, the plants and the house were all incredibly well taken care off, and I simply felt that I did not have to worry (and that's rare for me!). They were organized and communicative (the travel arrangements and the arrival information were clear and timely and clearly communicated; also, we agreed on an "all good" message once a day, and we received it - I did not even ONCE have to ask how things are going!); they were self-sufficient (I always encourage questions if they arise, and I got two reasonable questions in a week); they were tidy (when we arrived, the house smelled good and was so clean I thought they had sprayed Kofi with something that prevents his fur from falling :-)); Kofi was relaxed and obviously had a jolly good time with Liv and Ryan; and all our plants looked happy too! They even offered to make dinner on the evening we arrived, which I declined though due to a late arrival, but such a lovely gesture. Without asking they had stripped the bed and even emptied the dehumidifier bucket on the morning they left. If Liv and Ryan apply to sit for you - do not even think about interviewing others. I have an open invitation for them to come back any time they'd have time.
