Cynthia was excellent! Great at communication, our pets were well cared for and I think our house was cleaner when we got home than when we left! I’d definitely have her back!
I had a wonderful time with Stanley. Catherine and I communicated ahead of time about my arrival time and she allowed for a 2 hour handover which I appreciated. Her and Peter took time to show me how appliances all worked and tv and wanted me to be comfortable during stay which I really appreciated. Cleaning supplies were left out and easy to find. Stanley had everything he needed from treats to poo bags to well organised food. We did a practice walk with Stanley and they pointed out lots of different walks. They even gave me tips about local places to hire a boat as Stanley likes a boat ride. There were so many beautiful walks in local area that you do not need to travel far. I appreciated them leaving safety harness for Stanley so he could come in car to explore area with me. Stanley can also be left alone up to 3 hours if you want to do some solo adventures. They are lots of dog friendly places locally. I really recommend Lion pub at Thurne as lovely windpump and great beer garden. You need to watch out in busier areas / walks with Stanley as he gets anxious around other dogs and also people. But this was well explained to us. For this reason we kept to quieter routes which we were happy with as it was school holidays and we wanted to escape the crowds. But Stanley managed quiet shady corner of beer garden with water bowl really well. The house and garden are beautiful with lovely garden room to chill out. We didn’t try the cinema room but the cottage would be an amazing cosy winter sit too with beautiful brick work. The jacuzzi bath was lovely and there is wide ranges of apps on tv so you can watch a film or even chill in bed in morning with tv. Thank you for your hospitality and trusting me with your fur baby Stanley and beautiful home!
Rebecca’s home is beautiful! Bodhi and Kaali were the most precious little puffballs and we had a wonderful time taking care of them. We would love to be able to do it again!
After over 5 years of housesitting I can confidently say this was one of my favourite sits yet. I've always wanted to look after alpacas but on this sit we also had the joy of sheep, chicken, ducks and of course the three sweetest spaniels! It's definitely easier (and more fun!) with two people and I was glad my partner Nev got to experience it all with me. Clare and Paul were such lovely and generous hosts, cooking us a meal on arrival and making sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time chatting with them before and after their trip. Their house is warm and comfortable and well organised. It was easy to find anything we needed but Clare was fast to respond if we had any questions at all. The view from the house and fields is spectacular so make sure you have your camera to catch all the moods of the Peak District. The animals were such fun, always a laugh a minute, and really not too hard to look after. We probably checked on them more than what was needed but we really enjoyed just being outside with them and watching their antics. The dogs loved their daily walks and there are some lovely places nearby you can walk them, through nearby fields and down to a large reservoir. We would highly recommend this sit to others and hope to come back ourselves later in the year.
My husband and I really enjoyed sitting for Adam and Micki, what a fun sit! Adam and Micki were very accommodating with leaving detailed instructions and answering any questions during the sit. Their home is very pretty and clean, and the location of their home is perfect for getting to the beach and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Pontch, Bear and Otter are such sweet cats and immediately made us feel welcome when we arrived. They literally met us at the door with begs for pets. We enjoyed playing chase the wand (their leaps are impressive) and then chilling with them on the couch in the evenings. I highly recommend this sit!
Clara was super helpful before the city and provided all the information needed, always reachable aswell if anything would have been unclear. Her flat is beautiful in a great location, the cats are such a pleasure to be around I couldn‘t recommend this sit enough! Would always come here again, thank you for having me!
This was a convenient sit for me, locally in Brooklyn. I had a lovely time with this pooch and have pics to prove it! :) Would gladly help out again.
