Would not hesitate sitting here again. Lovely dog, lovely cat, lovely host. Comfortable and super clean house. Quiet neighborhood, but driving distance to all essentials.

Last year (2016) we had the pleasure of doing a short sit in the beautiful village of Pewsey in the county of Wiltshire. Although we had 5 dogs, 2 cats and 9 chooks, as well as a lovely house to look after, this would be one of the most enjoyable sits we have done. The dogs were an absolute joy as we wandered with them through the stunning countryside of Pewsey Vale and along the canals that are within walking distance of the house. The cats pretty much looked after themselves and the chooks provided fresh eggs every day. Just a shame that it was only for 4 days.

I had a lovely stay with Rosie in Barbara’s home. Barbara set me up with a very tidy home and clear instructions! Rosie is the sweetest and you will fall in love with her. Barbara’s home was perfectly situated in a modern building and she even let me stay an additional night so that I could finish up my travel plans. Thanks Barbara!

It was a pleasure to house sit for Penni and Tom and care for Berti. Tom and Penni are very warm and friendly hosts who, from our first catch up on Zoom, were very welcoming and generous. When we arrived, they kindly picked us up from the train station, took us to the grocery store and showed us around the area, including some lovely walks for Berti. Penni and Tom had prepared valuable instructions about Berti’s requirements, contact numbers and information about the house which we greatly appreciated. They communicated with us throughout our stay, and we knew that we could contact them at any time with any questions about the house or Berti.

Berti is a sweet, affectionate dog who is lovely company. She didn’t mind new people caring for her and quickly warmed to us, despite missing Penni and Tom. Berti loves company and enjoys knowing where you are in the house and being with you. She is quite a character and has some wonderful poses when sleeping, that were very entertaining. Best of all she is extremely cuddly on the couch and delightfully affectionate.

Penni and Tom live in a beautiful area in the village of Acton. We enjoyed the stunning walks through the fields and nearby manor estate with Berti. There are also some lovely walks up the canal that we also found very interesting and picturesque. The town of Nantwich is a pleasant 25-minute walk away, or a short bus ride, and is a gorgeous place to explore. There are several supermarkets to buy groceries from and a number of good pubs and restaurants. There are also several buses going to other locations from Nantwich that are easy to access.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in Penni and Tom’s beautiful home. It is a gorgeous historic cottage that was so warm, cozy and comfortable that it was a hard place to leave. They have a beautiful courtyard filled with an array of lovely plants. Their neighbours are friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed chatting to them when we were out. The view of St Mary’s church from Penni and Tom’s house is lovely and we enjoyed exploring the church surrounds with Berti.

We feel very honoured to have been asked to house sit for Penni and Tom and care for Berti in such a beautiful location. Thank you Penni and Tom - we really enjoyed meeting you both and having the opportunity to care for your lovely home. We would love to host you one day if you ever come to Tasmania.

We had a fantastic time in Flat Rock with Gracie Mae! She was easy to care for and loved attention. The house was SUPER clean and comfortable and the back patio was our favorite place for coffee and meals. The koi were a special treat to watch and feed while we were enjoying the patio and waterfall. We enjoyed walking in the peaceful neighborhood. The pictures can't capture what an amazing location and residence this is! It's quiet, but located close to shopping, great restaurants and breweries.
Thank you Rahna for your hospitality and organization. We hope to return sometime in the future to further explore Hendersonville and the surrounding area.
