A fabulous housesit! From the outset the communication with Hannah was superb and despite all the uncertainty that Covid-19 brought on, we were kept informed of her thoughts and plans throughout. The welcome pack was comprehensive and allowed us a great sense of comfort leading into the sit. We met Hannah and her family….and Corto (more on him later!) the day before their departure and as well as going through the main requirements, Hannah kindly took us around the local area to show us the local dog walking spots, shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. The house is just lovely – a modern light and bright terraced house in a quiet street in South East London with good connections to central London by bus and overground trains. Shops and cafes are reasonably close by and within a short walk or bus ride. We were provided with a guest/spare room with a wonderfully comfortable bed and plenty of space to store our bags with the added bonus of a comfortable sofa and TV. Downstairs the main lounge room was very comfortable with a Smart TV and BT TV system. Internet speed was very fast and reliable throughout the sit. Much of our time was spent working at the sunny dining table area looking out on a backyard. The kitchen was well equipped which allowed us to easily self-cater most days. Corto was a delight to look after! While in the house he was well behaved – quiet but very friendly and affectionate and loving any attention. His daily highlights though were getting out and about where his puppy tendencies to run with abandon took over. Whether it was chasing a ball or bounding through the undergrowth at one of the many local cemeteries he just exuded a real joy to be alive and his enthusiasm was infectious. A wonderfully successful housesit and we can highly recommend Hannah, her family and home and of course Corto to future sitters!!

The best thing about cat sitting for Ashana was The Cats. They are a deeply lovable catfamily, featuring tiny elder mama cat Safi and her three middle aged kids, Horatio, Max and Sam. Safi was sweet and easy, and liked to be brushed and petted and scritched. Horatio and Max are bonded brothers who groom each other and sleep curled up together with their paws and tails entwined, but they were also eager to interact and sit and sleep next to the human in their midst. Sam is exceedingly shy, so I only saw her in passing, but Ashana let me know that this was to be expected. Through our time together I became very attached to these cats, and I miss them! Ashana was great, too. She explained things carefully when I arrived, and was patient and friendly when I texted her with questions. Meanwhile her house is beautifully decorated, and the colors and designs made me happy. Her back garden is lush and surprisingly private, with many flowers in bloom when I was there. I also loved exploring Monkseaton, Whitley Bay, and along the coast; I hiked north to St. Mary’s Lighthouse twice to watch the many Grey Seals that spend time there, and also hiked south above the sea, enjoying Cullercoats, Long Sands Beach, and exploring Tynemouth Priory and Castle. This is a great catsit for someone without a car, with many beautiful and interesting places within walking distance. I’m very glad that Ashana chose me for this catsit, and I would be glad to come and care for this sweet catfamily again.
I felt privileged to stay in Louise beautiful home and look after her adorable Luna. Her home is like being in a fairytale, it’s so unique inspiring and creative. Gave me motivation to be more productive with my work! Luna is the nicest and cutest cat ever, she’s very loving and interactive! Louise made my stay feel at home and just left me too it which was nice! Very cosy stay! Thank you Louise!
I had such a lovely time with Dalton! He’s sweet and playful and funny, and he’s a great communicator. Emily’s place is in a great location and I enjoyed walking at the nearby reservoir!
