Gwen
We had a wonderful time with Pixel, Lio and Lulu in Gwen and Harald's beautiful home. The dogs are very friendly, sociable and well trained, and were a pleasure to walk and play with - Lulu in particular will love chasing after a thrown rock or avocado. After their walk they also love a good cuddle on the couch or some scratches. Gwen and Harald themselves were wonderful hosts, they met us with a plate of cookies and took the time to chat with us and show us around before leaving for their flight. They were very easy to keep in touch with during our sit and very happy to be flexible with our plans.

The house itself is in a stunning and peaceful location, nestled amongst the avocado trees in the hills just outside of Frigiliana. It's the perfect location for walkers and nature lovers, with as many hill routes as your imagination can create. You'll get some fantastic exercise here and lots of fresh air! It's a perfect retreat from the craziness of the Costa del Sol - although Málaga and Granada are both easy day trips, and Frigiliana itself is a beautiful pueblo blanco fit for exploring. The single track road to the house does call for a reasonably confident driver, but the directions were easy to follow once Gwen showed us the route down from the main road. The internet speed is great as well, in case you need to work.

We're very happy we took up this sit, and we'd be more than happy to sit for Gwen and Harald again if our plans happen to coincide in the future.

Janice
Janice is very warm and welcoming, and Romeo is seriously a dream pup to take care of and spend time with. He is a big love bug, is really well-trained and behaved, and has no issues with other dogs or people. He is an absolute sweetheart, and Janice’s house is very cozy and comfortable and in a great, walkable neighborhood.

Hilary
Archie is an absolutely wonderful dog, really well behaved, affectionate, fun and an absolute pleasure to take for walks. We formed a strong bond quickly and loved taking him out for long hikes through the beautiful surrounding countryside. There were many lovely walks straight out of the house through fields and along the river.

The house itself is a beautiful, historical manor house with a fabulous garden for enjoying. David & Hilary are excellent hosts, communicative, friendly and clear about what they needed. They welcomed us with a lovely lunch on our first day before heading off for a short trip to London. We would highly recommendd this sit and would love to return to look after Archie again sometime.

Zoe
Zoe was a fantastic, generous host. She's friendly and welcoming and was great about communicating with us while she was away. Harry and Thurgood are so sweet! They are incredibly loving and gentle--I was impressed that they never bit us or batted our hands away, as many cats do. They were easy to care for. We were careful to keep any softer plastics like take-out containers hidden away, since the cats sometimes like to eat them. We did that and had no problems!

Zoe's home is in a fantastic location in The Village downtown. Her bed is very big and comfy! The kitchen is well stocked and was a pleasure to cook in. The building has a gym and an outdoor hot tub in summer. If you arrive in an Uber or have a lot of luggage, note that the front desk staff can be a little overzealous; it's wise to get an Uber to park in another driveway.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Zoe, Harry, and Thurgood are all excellent people (and cats!). :)
