Stephani's cat, Jackson, got into a catfight a couple days before I arrived and that changed the whole sit experience as I was now caring for a frustrated cat with a cone on his head :-( poor guy! But Stephani explained this to me before I arrived and we worked as a team and made the best of it. Stephani's home was very comfortable and clean and everything went smooth. This is a great sit opportunity, especially when Jackson is healthy and able to be outside all day.
Emmanuelle and her two children made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, very friendly & communicative. They were super kind & flexible, welcoming us a couple of days earlier than agreed and very generous to include us in all of their family meals! There was even some stored food for us available, which was again generous and super appreciated. Jake & Booda are very adorable and gentle cats! They both were a bit shy & jumpy at first, but soon got used to us. Jake is a real charmer and loves to cuddle after his meals – especially in the evening time he would join us on the sofa. Booda was more outdoorsy but enjoyed the occasional cuddle on his daily indoor visits. The house is spacious and in a lovely neighbourhood, with easy access to Basel city by public transport. Wow what a fantastic stay! Becca and Tim are very kind and I really appreciated the effort they went to to ensure I enjoyed my stay and make me feel welcome. Earl completely stole my heart, one of the sweetest cats I’ve met and I’m going to miss our chats and snuggles a lot! I was a bit sad to leave him tbh! Becca and Tim have a beautiful house and very very lovely garden. And they also are so close to a very beautiful lake area which I really recommend exploring the woodland around there. Unbelievably gorgeous home, generous hosts, spectacular setting, clear communication from start to finish. Really phenomenal, wonderful experience. To be completely honest, The only thing I would’ve liked to know beforehand was that a 7/8 pitbull was involved (who’s not necessarily great with other dogs…) but I loved sweet Bandit unconditionally by the end.
Chris was a fantastic host, very friendly and welcoming to his amazing home in Mykonos. Our time in Kununurra was great. Victor & Larissa's place is wonderfully spacious and very comfortable. The house is located in a quiet and safe cul-de-sac. Victor & Larissa were communicative and compassionate throughout our stay. We would house-sit for them again without a second thought!
