What to even say about Rebecca and James and their kids! These guys were AWESOME. I had a few applications for this sit and debated briefly whether to have just a single person come sit, versus the family, given it's a bit more work to get things ready for the whole house to be used -- but I definitely made the right decision. My sons and husband all commented how great they were - easy, practical, communicative. Our dog was super lucky to have so many doting fans. She got to go hiking and to the coast, in cars and on ferries. I'm pretty sure she has been bored since we got back. Rebecca's family made our departure and return super smooth. They put clean sheets on all the beds, left us delicious poppy seed muffins and a very clean house! Wonderful guests to have- we are so grateful and happy they drove across the country to make our place their home base for a week! We'd absolutely welcome them back!
I had a great time sitting for Rue and Lars. They are the sweetest pups and were fairly easy to care for. The house was clean, bed comfy, and good WiFi. Tori was great at communicating with me and answering any questions I had. The home is in the heart of downtown Leavenworth and is close to everything. Definitely recommend!

I would highly recommend this sit if you have the opportunity – Miranda and her family are incredibly warm, welcoming and relaxed hosts, and the house is gorgeous with a lovely garden, with plenty of spots to read and to work, and in a great area for easily accessible countryside walks. I didn’t have a car, but didn’t run out of places to explore! All that without mentioning the star of the show: Bobby is a total dream, easy off the lead on walks and very cuddly and affectionate at home. He was well behaved from the start but warmed up more as we got to know each other. I was sad to leave and still miss his company! Thanks so much Miranda and Francis for having me, I’d love to come back! X

It was an absolute pleasure to be Cody’s people and mind Ann’s home while she travelled. Cody is all terrier, with the usual temperament and personality. If you’re used to the type, he’s a delight. Wardley House is large and beautifully decorated but is super comfortable and not at all “precious.” It’s a lovely place for working remotely, long walks, reading and very very quiet nights. We didn’t have a car, but found the bus service to Uppingham for shopping and eating out very reliable (except Sunday and bank holidays). We even took it in the opposite direction to Leicester for a museum day. We’re grateful to have been chosen for this sit and would return to do it again.
A lovely week spent with the gorgeous Barney. His cheeky character made it all the more fun and no bother at all. Kristie and Matt were both really welcoming into their lovely home and made the sit really easy. We would definitely sit for Barns again! Thank you both.
