Debbie & Eric's comfortable and modern home is in a great location to experience Slovenia and Ljubljana. away from the busyness of the city, but tucked into a quiet subdivision with a quick walk to parks, a grocery, and a short trip by bus to city center. We felt that we were provided with clear instructions on how to care for the dogs and the home. Any of our inquiries were answered promptly. It was a pleasure to communicate with Debbie & Eric. Eric, Debbie and their boys were welcoming to us and made settling in to their home easy and effortless. Eric greeted us with a great meal and shared some intriguing stories of his travels the evening before their departure. The boys were kind enough to share their stories and Lego time with Jacob. Pippa, Maddy, & Alphy are the sweetest dogs with awesome personalities! Aplhy is still a bit of a puppy, but obedient for the most part and on his way to being a fine, well-trained dog. Just don't leave your shoes within reach or they will be shredded by Alphy (our mistake). Other than that they were good dogs that did not get onto counters or chew on anything that wasn't their toy. Pippa and Maddy are affectionate old girls that will take as many pets as you are willing to give. They will give you the time you need to catch up on rest in the morning without too much objection. Though once you are up they are ready for their meal and walking tour of the neighborhood. They are great companions and respectful if you have work to do from home. They are also sufficient enough to be alone for a few hours if you are out to explore. We will miss their company. We highly recommend sitting Debbie & Eric's house and pups if you are looking for a great home-base to experience the contemporary culture and amazingly beautiful city of Ljubljana. We couldn't be happier with our stay. We look forward to the opportunity to return again in the future.
We had never been to North Yorkshire and wanted to see this part of the country as well as enjoying our doggie fix 🐾. Andrew and Lisa are very hospitable hosts and we enjoyed a very nice home cooked meal and getting acquainted with them on our first night. Communication was great throughout the sit. Our accommodation was very comfortable in this lovely Georgian house. Lady and Sprat who love their cuddles are lovely affectionate pets and super easy to take care of. The morning walks around the castle grounds are interesting and near the house. Pickering is also a lovely market town and just a bit further on Helmsley (thanks Jill) also is very nice and well worth a visit. I just can’t describe how beautiful this part of the country is especially in August when all the hills are covered in majestic purple heather. Whitby and the North Sea are close by and easily accessible by car, bus or the famous steam train. This house sit was enjoyed by us and is very straightforward. If your considering it please don’t hesitate you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Andrew and Lisa for inviting us!
We had the best time and would happily sit for Debbie again! Communication was clear and easy. The location was great and the house was gorgeous. It had everything we needed for us to enjoy our stay. Quiet neighborhood with amazing sunset views and a quick drive into the city. Buckley was so sweet and friendly. He loved playing and going on walks with our two smaller pups who came along with us. Tucker was affectionate, sweet, and loved hanging out with the pack. Buddy was great, too!
A wonderful Sit in a beautiful setting with a pack of fun, intelligent, and lovable doggies/cats. Cedar & Fox are lovebugs that enjoy being outside exploring, then coming inside and being right by your side to receive your love. Pia and Govi are independent and equally as lovable. It is easy to communicate with Lizzie with all details of the pets and any questions that arose. Highly recommend this Sit if you are able to enjoy time with this beautiful family!
Nicola's 3 kitties were lovely to look after, they can also provide hours of entertainment with how they explore and play with each other! They were very low maintenance, and Nicola clearly explained where to find food, litter, etc. Her home is in an amazing location, in a very quiet cul de sac but a short walk from bustling Acland St, would happily sit for her again!
Caring for this foursome of pets was a joy - after spending some time with Hurley, Ellie, Russel & Sylvie I realized how they were all so bonded and sweet towards one another, which was a rare and beautiful thing to see! Ellie definitely needed to get her energy out so we made sure to do lots of activities together but otherwise the rest of the crew just seemed to enjoy going in and out of the cat door or side door for moments of fresh air and sunshine. I enjoyed being out in Skamania county and appreciated the house, nature and nearby recreational opportunities. I did this sit solo and found it to be a great way to decompress after a year of teaching but most would probably prefer to do it with someone since it’s in a somewhat rural location.
