We very much enjoyed sitting with Ralph, Bailey and Joey. Phil and Laura were exceptionally hospitable and welcoming. Instructions were very clear. Their house is clean and comfortable and just steps from a lovely park for dog walking (or just clearing your head, watching sunsets or having a coffee at the park cafe). Walking to the shops, pubs and restaurants is maybe 5 minutes, a few minutes longer going through the park. But we always went through the park. There are busses close by that can get you to the major shopping mall in Brent Cross in 10-15 minutes or to the Hendon tube stop in less than 10. Hendon is on the Northern line for an easy trip into the touristed parts of London. These dogs are all characters. They will make you laugh (like when Joey “sings” for his supper). For us, Bailey was more of a “momma’s girl” and Joey a bit of a “daddy’s boy”, with Ralph just being cute all the time. But I’m sure they would be happy to hang out with any sitter(s) who gives them cuddles and treats. Lots of treats. All three are rescued dogs, but you can tell they now live in a house full of love. Laura and Phil really, really love their dogs, and it shows. And really, what better compliment can a sitter give a host than that? We’d love to return for a future sit.
We had such a wonderful sit at Michelle and Paul’s home! We could just tell that Michelle and Paul are good people.....Great communicators and really funny. Their home was so clean, beautiful and comfortable. I loved that it is on a quiet cul de sac. It has a lovely outdoor space in the backyard and there is a park and endless trails right across the street from the neighborhood. We cooked all of our meals at home and had everything we could possibly need. All that being said, the real stars of this sit were Mooie and Mr. Whiskies!!! Mooie was so excited to have a friend in Hershey, our pocket beagle. Once they got all the sniffs and excitement out of their systems they were great buddies. Mooie had recently said goodbye to his big sister and I think he truly appreciated some canine company. He was really low maintenance- has a doggie door, eats good, loves to go on walks and just hang out next to you at home. We took him on slightly longer walks than he is used to and he did GREAT! Mr. Whiskies is one cool cat. He stayed upstairs most of the time. He did come downstairs to check on the dogs a few times but when he realized all was well he went back up. He never hid from us and would let me pick him up for kisses and loved to be petted. I mean he is a super chill cat!! We definitely recommend sitting for Michelle and Paul if you get the chance!
Lily was a joy to watch! She's very playful and very affectionate. She gets along great on walks and is very easy to care for. The apartment is in a wonderful location in the South End of Boston, perfect for exploring the city yet staying close enough to make it easy to fulfill your sitter duties. Liza was very organized in her instructions and our handoff so all went very smoothly. I think the only trouble I had was trying to get Lily to sit still long enough to clean her Frenchie folds haha. I highly recommend this sit!
We take care Darcey and Zoé, two beautiful and lovely kitties, they were really good company for the days we stayed in the flat, a comfortable stay in which we had contact with Camilla to send her updates on how her pets were doing, we highly recommend for future petsitters and hope they love the kitties as much as we did :) we will miss them! ❤️
I enjoyed this sit. Sherlock was very playful and enjoyed his walks and so did I. Potter the cat loved sitting on my knee while I watched tv. Orla left me a basket of goodies which was very thoughtful of her. It is a lovely area for walks especially along the river. The high street had plenty of of shops and variours takeaways?..The house is a a lovely big house with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
It was an absolute privilege to be able to look after Sammy and Lola while their owners were away .We enjoyed our endless walks together exploring the nearby Belfairs park and nature reserve, Hadleigh castle grounds and the forests around Rayleigh which was the royal hunting grounds where Henry viii hunted in 1222 as well as numerous other historical sites and beautiful Old Leigh, broad way which is home to many restaurants, cafes, boutiques and art galleries as well as Southend on Sea which had the longest pleasure pier in the world. Sammy and Lola were an absolute delight to look after and very well behaved. We wouldn’t hesitate to look after them again in the near future. We also couldn’t thank Amanda and Michael enough for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing. it was great to meet them both before dashing off to start Michaels cancer treatment in Germany. We also got to meet two of their most lovely neighbours as well as Amanda’s sister who was an absolute godsend. We couldn’t of asked for anything better and we wish Amanda and Michael all the best for their future and Michael’s recovery.
