My first sit could not have been better! I had a wonderful week with Birdie the 4-year old female French bulldog, in Amy’s comfortable family home in a quiet neighborhood in Santa Barbara. Birdie is super snuggly, and I enjoyed having her sleep next to me on the sofa while I worked, and under the covers with me at night. She is very affectionate and after some barking the first time I arrived, Birdie greeted me happily when I returned to the house. Birdie is a rescue, and can be unreliable around other dogs, so she stayed on leash (unless we were in the spacious backyard) and we kept our distance from other dogs. (My own rescue was fearful/aggressive around other dogs, so I knew how to help keep Birdie calm and out of trouble.) Birdie is a happy leash walker, and we both enjoyed our many walks around the neighborhood and to a nearby park to watch the sunset over the ocean. Amy’s house is comfortable and clean, and she thoughtfully left me some welcome treats. Her welcome guide included detailed instructions for Birdie and her home. I sent Amy regular messages and photos of Birdie’s day - the family was missing their snuggly girl! Amy responded promptly to any questions I had. I am grateful that this sit allowed me to visit my elderly parents at a nearby retirement community for several hours each day, while enjoying Birdie’s good company in a home with a well-stocked kitchen, laundry and private space to work and relax. I hope I have the opportunity to stay with Birdie again!
We absolutely loved our time in Hamburg taking care of Yuki & Yin at Martina's very comfortable apartment. The flat is in a great part of the city, within walking distance to many cool spots, and also close to the subway for an easy way to get around the city. Martina is not only a pleasure to chat with, but is also a very clear communicator. We felt comfortable that we were keeping Yin & Yuki in their normal routines, we knew what to expect with their personalities, and even got a great introduction to the local grocer who we ended up chatting with several times during our stay (in fact, his girlfriend has a nice coffee shop a few blocks away that we also went to!) The apartment was super clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Yin was friendly right away and loved being around us while we were working on our computers. Once Yuki became comfortable he was ready for some attention, and would often sit in the hallway watching us move around the flat. Everything about our time in Hamburg was a pleasure and we would absolutely house sit again for Martina anytime, and would recommend the sit to anyone else out there! I had a really fantastic journey at her house taking care of lovely Oka, Muffin and the fishes! 🥰 She was so kind and easy to communicate with. I really appreciated the detailed information she provided in respect of taking care of the pets and her house. Our communication was great throughout the sitting and she was always very responsive.😆 Her home was fantastic and had everything I need for a comfortable stay. The place was in a great location too, pretty close to the city centre and had so many things to explore. Oka and Muffin were very well-behaved, lovely and sweet and great to take care of! Oka was very energetic and affectionate and Muffin was very adorable and asked for many pets 🤭 I would be more than happy to sit for Caroline again~😝
Claire was wonderfully helpful and her home was beautiful, comfortable, in a great location, and her pups were extremely friendly and fun to spend the week with!
This was my first EVER pet sit and it could not have been better. The house, pets, instructions were perfect. Communication was detailed and her responses were not delayed. This historic home is location near the downtown area and The Gathering Place. There’s a lot to do in Tulsa. The fur babies are very easy to care for and exactly as described. Oscar is very friendly, it took Evie a couple of days to warm up. Would highly recommend Hailey and the fur babies to any future sitter!
