Rachel is an ideal house sitter. From the moment we first communicated, she came across as responsible, caring, and attentive. And that first impression carried through from the first day of our vacation to the last. At no point did we worry about our house or our three corgis (yes, three). If Rachel had a question, she promptly asked. If something needed addressing, she reached out. (Our wifi provider had an issue one day.) And if we needed a midday photo, she delivered. We'd highly recommend Rachel! We came home to happy dogs, a neat house, and the reassurance that everything had been well taken care of in our absence.
This was a magical sit that we will remember for a long time. Ruby, Bear and Rufus are the most beautiful trio of animals and Sally's home is elegant and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need - plus a sea view! There are too many highlights to list but this is a wonderful, diverse piece of Jurassic coastline with so many places of interest - fantastic for adults, kids and dogs! Equally, simply wandering with the dogs down the cycle path (The 'Rodwell Trail') from the house to Sandsfoot Beach and Castle Cove is an absolute joy - both Ruby and Bear love swimming (Ruby becomes a puppy again) and it was such a gift to be able to swim with them. They are such beautiful dogs with unique personalities and were very difficult to leave at the end of the sit. Dogs can also cross the harbour on the row boat ferry with their humans, free of charge, which is such fun. We fell in love with Bear, Ruby and Rufus - they are all very affectionate and we will miss them. Rufus is a real character and loves drinking drips from the tap and hose - he enjoyed being with us and was a wonderful companion. Sally is very welcoming and always responded quickly and kindly when I had any questions. She made everything very easy - and gave us a good tip about bringing bikes to make the most of the cycle trail (this goes all the way over to Portland). This sit would be perfect for anyone with or without their own transport - highly recommended and we would love to be back!
