Yet another in a series of successful housesits from Ali & Taylor! As on prior stays with my blind cat, Phaedra, I returned home to a content, relaxed kitty, a home in very tidy shape and a thriving garden in August. Communication before, during and after the sit was clear, pertinent and friendly. I always miss my cat, but getting away is easier knowing Phaedra will have good care.
Mauna and Jake are fabulous hosts. We met them prior to the sit where they walked us through everything we needed to know. We developed such a special bond with Tonks. She’s such a beautifully affectionate dog. We loved taking walks down to the beach and playing catch with her. We will miss her. Overall, a really nourishing experience.
Spending time at Alan and Sheena's house on the slopes of the Malvern Hills was one of my most treasured times. The lane was quiet and the house had far reaching and beautiful views. The dogs were fun to walk along the fields and footpaths around up into the hills. Breakfast was always more fun with the chicken eggs. I particularly liked the ram who grazed the paddock. We had very clear and helpful instructions from Alan, so we felt very relaxed.
We absolutely loved our stay! The place was awesome and the animals were sweet as could be and provided a ton of entertainment. Stunning views!
We had a lovely weekend stay at Jessie's home taking care of Poppy! Her home is spacious, clean and located in a fantastic part of downtown Vancouver, walking distance to restaurants, cafes, shops, and the beach. Jessie is very kind and communicates very well and Poppy is absolutely the sweetest! She loves to be brushed and enjoys being around you when she's not sleeping. We had no issues at all and would highly recommend this housesit to anyone looking for a stay in Vancouver!
I had a pleasant stay in Rebecca's lovely, well-equipped, airy apartment located in one of my favorite parts of Oakland. My delightful companions were expressive and playful Ziggy and Prince, who have very different routines and styles. Rebecca's clear communication and comprehensive instructions made it easy to care for them. I had fun to watch the kitties tear around the house or snooze in adorable poses. The open air balcony has a great view, and the guest bed is comfortable. Ziggy is a cuddle bug, while Prince is more of a wanderer, and he can be elusive when it is time to coax him indoors at night, but he always returns home eventually. I really appreciated being so near to Lake Merritt, Grand Lake Theater, several bus lines and Trader Joe's. I recommend this sit and would happily return and take care of the brothers again if invited.
I had a spectacular time with Mr Grey! Maggie and Bob are warm welcoming people, and their home in Pittsburgh is a perfect place to relax and explore the city. They live up on a hill overlooking the river on a dead end street so it’s quiet and safe and so beautiful. The only sounds come from the train and the birds. Mr Grey is very easy to care for, just get ready for lots of brushing/pets he loves it so much! I scooted a chair close to his food so that I could brush him while he ate-and one by his kitty perch upstairs by his favorite window :) I would come back and sit for them anytime, thank you Maggie and Bob!

If you love your dogs, do not use this man to care for your dogs. I employed him to care for my two dogs for two weeks and house sit whilst I went on holiday. He failed to provide even the basic level of care for my dogs and one was left covered in red raw sores and a bald and infected tail. He clearly hadn’t even walked them as there was large amounts of faeces in the garden and my dogs never use the garden as a toilet unless absolutely desperate and no other option. My neighbours confirmed that they saw no evidence that he was there during the day or night. My dogs were left extremely distressed and in pain when I got home yet this man claims not to have noticed either the sores or any level of suffering. He lied to me throughout and continued to lie about his level of care until I showed him evidence of his actions had had on my babies.
Very happy to recommend George, he walks our two Dalmatians every week and they not only adore him ( I totally trust their judgment ) but come home suitably exhausted.
