We have just completed a six-week sit looking after Frida and Diego and can honestly say that it has been one of our favourites. Frida and Diego are superbly trained, very calm, and well-behaved both inside the house and out on walks. They have really lovely natures and can be very affectionate. Frida is independent and we felt very privileged that she took to us over the course of the sit. Diego is a total sweetie and very cuddly. We had so much fun taking them out in the van to the beach and walking up some of the island’s oreums (hills formed from volcanic rock). The house is very comfortable and spacious for two people. It is well-equipped and in a great location: 1 km from the beach and in close proximity to hiking trials, delicious restaurants (Korean and international), craft coffee shops, and convenience stores. Morgan and Matt have really set up a wonderful life on Jeju, which makes it easy for house sitters to slot in. They left us with a list of their favourite places to eat and we enjoyed working our way through it. Jeju is a beautiful island with a laid-back yet active atmosphere. We came away feeling healthier and relaxed. We thank Morgan and Matt for giving us the opportunity to look after their amazing dogs. A highly recommended sit!
It was an absolute pleasure to care for Lindsay and Michael's gorgeous fur babies and beautiful home! Lindsay and Michael are super gracious hosts who were communicative before and during the housesit, incredibly friendly, and made us feel really welcome & comfortable staying in their home. Zora (the explorer) and Ray (of sunshine) stole our hearts from the moment we met them! They are two very sweet, happy, and affectionate pups and definitely the highlight of an all-over incredible stay! Their routine is very easy to follow thanks to a very helpful handbook from Lindsay and Michael. We had the best time in Enfield and highly recommend this sit to anyone in the future! x
Leah’s cats are easy to care for as is her gorgeous apartment with views to die for. Perched among villas on a hilltop with beautiful Menton at its feet, a town of architecture, seafront restaurants, patisseries and indoor market, you would be forgiven for exploring no further. Leah is exceptionally organised, considerate and makes communication a pleasure. I highly recommend her.
We thoroughly enjoyed looking after Nicola’s cats Scampy and Sparkle. They were rather shy, but we were patient with them and fed them where they were comfortable . Sparkle, the more confident of the two would come for cuddles and a pat. They played together, which was fun to watch . The house was very comfortable with a lovely back garden. We had everything we needed. It’s well positioned for visiting places of interest. Upnor castle and the waterfront are within walking distance. Nicola made us feel welcome and communication was easy prior and during the sit. We’d definitely recommend this sit 😊
Leaving Daniel a raving review would be a disservice to THS. I kept in complete contact with Daniel during my stay. I had many issues with the home. I haven't used an xbox to watch shows in years, and the heat stop working, then the dryer stopped working and needed to be service, the I Roomba stopped working. With all these issues coming at me left and right it would have been nice to have a safe place to work out issues with Daniel but he wasn't willing to do so. I had to scares in the home, after a weekend storm I woke up to a swarm of stink bugs on the walls above my bed (they fly). Thankfully Daniel landlord who came quickly. The heat on the second floor only reaches one side of the home, Not the guest bedroom. If you are sitting in the winter you'll need to bundle up. I wish Daniel was more upfront about rodents in the kitchen. It was a shock to see mighty mouse run under the stove in the middle of the night, I wish I would of noticed sooner when both cats on different occasions would stare under the stove or sit on the couch and stare at the living room wall. If Daniel was upfront about the home I wouldn't of confirmed the sit. Both pets are very sweet and loving. Tesla is calm, cool and sweet. He is so handsome in his mix of caramel colors of fur his cute morning burst of energy always lead to morning petting till I climb out of bed. Tiaga is such a funny character She loves to be loved on all day long, She loves to sunbath in the living room and watch you get comfy then run over for cuddles as soon as you was relaxed. I loved spending time with Tesla and Tiaga. I would not recommend sitting for Daniel.
We can’t say enough wonderful things about Doug and Paulette. Just the nicest people we feel fortunate to have met. They were welcoming and generous with us and we immediately felt at home in their well cared for, very clean, and comfortable home. Their cat’s Stella and Snickers have such great personalities and we feel fortunate that we gained their trust and we were able to give and receive so much great cat love while watching them. It did take some time and patience for Stella to warm up to us but when she did, wow, so much cuddles, head bumps, playing, and fun. Snickers was pretty happy to hang out from the get go. He would act cool for his sister and seem put off by us but very quickly his big purr motor came out and he became our constant companion. The neighbors and neighborhood were great. Many nearby hiking opportunities, all the shopping and restaurants you could ever need. Doug kindly took us around and showed us where things were. We quickly adjusted to our lovely surroundings. The bart station is a quick ten minute drive away and we took it into San Francisco very easily. Lots of great places to explore in and around this area. We would happily pet sit for them again.
