Gizmo and Iora are two very sweet, happy and confident kitties. They were both curious when we first arrived, not at all shy. They like to be brushed a few times each day, and Iora runs around in the evenings chasing her toys. Gizmo is more quiet and likes to sit and observe. They are both easy kitties and lots of fun!

Carol is very friendly, considerate and the perfect host! She left everything tidy for us and we immediately felt at home when we arrived. There was also a nice wine waiting for us that we enjoyed the first evening. Her information packet answered the few questions we had. The Wifi was excellent and the house was quiet in case you need to connect for work.

The location is a condominium complex about 20 miles north of Manhattan. Carol provides her car for use during the sittings. It's a 15 minute drive to the Tarrytown train station and then 45 minutes on the train to Grand Central. There are many excellent hiking options and vineyards for wine tasting within an hour drive north of Carol's place. It's a great central location!

Thank you Carol for trusting us to care for Gizmo and Iora. We recommend this housesit and hope to be back soon!

Jeremy
I had the most amazing experience sitting Cody for Jeremy and Liz. Jeremy was excellent at communicating with me in the run up to the sit. The welcome guide was comprehensive and Jeremy gave me a very clear walkthrough of everything in the house when I arrived. Liz and Jeremy were so welcoming and warm, and the boys were also very polite.
Cody was an absolute dream companion. He is so sweet and followed me everywhere like a little shadow. He was excellent on the lead and didn’t have any issues with other dogs etc. I loved his funny mannerisms and his vocal excitement every time I touched the lead or mentioned going on a walk! He is a very loveable character.
The walks from the house are lovely and there are plenty of different options to take for longer or shorter routes.
The house is obviously stunning. I spent most of my time in the kitchen/living area admiring the birds and life in the garden. I slept really well and felt totally spoilt by the amenities available.

Everything about this sit was a dream. I can’t thank Jeremy and Liz enough for letting me look after their home and the wonderful Cody. I would not hesitate to sit for them again.

We had a comfortable, relaxing week in North Cornwall- the views were amazing.
Odin, the cat was a delight to care for as were the chickens and ducks.
The poly tunnels were straight forward to manage which provided us with daily fresh produce.
Lorna and Peter were friendly, generous, engaging and interesting people who made us feel very welcome.
If you get a chance to do this sit take it and live the good life.

Nichols and David treated us well with a delicious meal when we arrived. They gave us clear instructions on how to care for their home and their dog, Motsi. Motsi is a charming fox terrier who likes people, lots of cuddles and adores her vast property to runaround in, and loves her walks.Their house and separate guest wing is surrounded by fields of plum trees and sunflowers that you can walk Motsi in. The local town of Duras, a few kilometers away has an historic castle/château, charming cafes, restaurants, shops and a weekly market. David gave Stephen a tour of the fields to walk Motsi and instructed him on lawn mowing and pool care. Nichols showed me around the house and how to care for their gardens.
We spent 3 contemplative weeks on their gorgeous property and caring for Motsi. It was a great and memorable experience.
