Katie sat for my dog 17 days and I was very happy with her care. She impressed me from our first phone conversation and I knew my dog would be in good hands. She communicated well and sent updates and pictures about every two days. My home was well cared for and I hope she will sit for me again. She is definitely a 5 star sitter!

Horrace is so cute we let him walk round the lounge then he snuggled into my neck for a cuddle. Reggie, well what an lovely cat. He likes his own space but a stroke too. I could have spent a week looking at the lovely items on the shelves and walls. A good sit to get to Cambridge and see the sites. No Stilton in Stilton though.

Lou
We had an excellent experience sitting Ebony at Lou’s beautiful house while she went away on a trip. It was our first sit and it was Lou’s first time finding sitters on the platform. Lou was a gracious host to us. We got to meet her and have dinner with her the night before she left, and she left a clear set of rules, duties, and guidelines for us to follow. We fell in love with Ebony while Lou was away, he’s such a sweet and calm cat.

Lou’s house is the perfect place for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the mountains and woods around the Hudson River. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery around there, and ventured out to the nearby towns of Croton and Peekskill for food at times. Her home is lovely, clean and full of interesting antiques and (our favorite) old family photos.

We would rate our experience here a 10/10 and would recommend others to sit for Ebony here too.

If you love to cuddle dogs - this is your sit!

We spent a weekend with Mickey and Moose and it was awesome. Both of them are super cute with their individual personalities.
Mitchell and his wife are friendly hosts and we felt welcome the whole long sit.

We have spent a few weeks at Phillip’s and Helen’s house. That’s a beautiful house, very comfortable in a great area near the beach. We have become really attached to Wunni, she is a lovely easy going cat. Communication was excellent with Phillip and Helen, we had a great experience staying at their home. Thank you again for your trust!

I had a fabulous time with Flint; he's very sociable and easy to care for. The house is immaculate, stylish, and oh so comfortable. There are country views and walks to be enjoyed, but all the conveniences of town just a few minutes away. I highly recommend this sit to future sitters.

My stay at, Sauverny France, Tuesday 04.04.2023 – Sunday 23.04.2023
Hosts: Ben & Eloise (Theo & Leon)
Dog: Pico (Greek shepherd/border collie rescue dog.)

After a short visit to Annecy and a “drive thru” through Geneva I arrived late afternoon in Sauverny. Where I was greeted by Ben and Pico. Later Joined by Leon, Theo and Eloise. A very welcoming bunch(family), Greek/English mix with a French/Swiss twist 😊.
Like the introduction/selection call with Ben several weeks ago also the arrival felt completely natural and very easy going. In the afternoon I walked with Theo and Pico, we had a wonderful meal all together and the next morning I walked with Ben and Pico. With Eloise and Pico I had a short visit to the vet. In the meantime we talked and I received the necessary information (including Pico’s Greek commands 😊) and background. In the afternoon I drove the family to the train station for their train trip to the UK. We remained in touch via WhatsApp (updates) and it was great to be able to use their car during their absence for short trips into the mountains with Pico etc.
From Wednesday afternoon Pico and I were on our own. Friday evening I picked -up my wife from Geneva airport. She stayed over for Easter until Wednesday the next week.
The house is a nice spacious open chalet house in a natural setting. Messy family home 😉 but cozy and for my almost 3 week stay it was very enjoyable and it had all I needed. The garden “sauvage” was full of activity preparing for early spring. Enjoyable terrace when the sun is out.
It was also very well possible to get some work done and remain connected due to a good and stable WIFI connection.
Pico is an extremely sweet dog. Still young and playful. Normally not aggressive towards other dogs. Very enthusiastic about meeting other people (be careful he does not jump). Understand his Greek commands very well, but also clear and short commands in English, French and even Dutch work 😉. Pico is still a young dog that needs clear guidance and rules set out for him.
In the open and if he is further afield he can be extremely “east Indian deaf”. He just does not come back and thinks you want to play games. As a result he will run away/after runners, dogs, birds, bikes or for instance horseman thinking the horse wants to play. Not a good idea. All in all walking with him off leash is possible but comes with a risk and you need to build in some extra time

All in all I had a perfect time exploring the French and Swiss part of the border, Jura etc. on long(er) walks with Pico as well as sightseeing the area from my homebase in Sauverny. I even did some reading (always nice to stay in a house with books). My time with Pico was absolutely great. He “communicated” well with me and we understood each other perfectly well. Mais c'était moi qui dirige 😉.

Αντίο. Until we meet again.
