Val, Franz & Mabel
This has been a truly enjoyable sit for us, 25 days with sweet little Mabel in this beautiful part of coastal Dundee.

Firstly the pet - little Mabel - omg she is such a sweet little pooch that definitely will steal your heart!  She has the prettiest face and the most beautiful tummy, almost piglet like!

She always starts her day snuggled up in her bed, she does like a lie in and is happy to lay there till almost mid morning.  She likes you to snuggle her up with her blanket.
She loves to play Flirt in the garden, she is very fast!

She loves her walks out especially along the beach and loves to sand dig.  She's very good with other dogs happy to play and greet them, happy to steer herself away from any big ones.  We mostly kept her on her longer leash, she does have the 'hound' instinct so could easily get distracted by any nice rabbit smells in the dunes.  The one time we did let her off leash was on the headland at Elie Ness Lighthouse, it was a real joy watching her running all around, she was definitely smiling, she kept near to us and it was no problem getting her back on her leash, she was so good.  (Val and Franz permission).

Location - there is a super green Park very close to the house and Mabel likes walking there. When she gets tired she likes to walk home in between the two of us we noticed.  After running about she likes to lay flat on the grass or beach and cool her tummy.
We took Mabel almost everywhere with us, she loves to ride in the car.  She sat really well on my lap she loves to look at the views.  We also took her bed for the back of the car, after a long walk out, she preferred to fall asleep on the journey home. She likes to stand in the middle shelf between us for a little while but she happily sits back on the seat when told.

When we returned from a rainy day walk, after being wiped dry with the towel in the garage, Mabel likes to play a little chase game around Val's car, she almost squeals with delight at the play time.

Mabel loves to sit downstairs with you and watch tv.  She snuggles up under her special blanket, often she makes a 'cave' and is completely hidden until a little nose peeps out.  She loves a snuggle up to you with her head on your leg.  And she loves an evening play with her toys on her blanket on the sofa.  She especially loves her red bone.  She loves a game of tickle too, she is very gentle. She actually talks to you with her little adorable grunts.

The home - it is fabulous! and spotless.    You will be so comfortable in this modern beautiful home, it is a real treat to live in and the pretty garden.

Location - there are different beach walks a short car drive away.  The nearest - Broughty Ferry beach is lovely, a long sandy beach you can have a great long walk here.  St Andrews, with its coastal path walk and Elie are beautiful beach towns to visit and  Lunan Bay beach is superb.
Baxter Park, a 5 minutes walk away, is a smart wide open space of grass, trees and garden areas.  Really lovely to walk around.

Val and Franz are two very lovely kind people.  We met them on our arrival and instantly felt at ease with them.  They could not have given us more information about Mabel and their home and what was near by to explore and they truly wanted us to have a wonderful time in Dundee.   The information they gave to us in their Welcome Pack was hugely thorough and we had lots of helpful communications with them.

If you get the chance to sit for Val and Franz and spend time with and care for Mabel jump at the chance. You will have a wonderful time and will definitely fall in love with their adorable little pooch.  We would highly recommend this sit and truly hope we can sit again for them and spend time with Mabel.  She will always have a place in our hearts. We hope to meet Mabel and Val and Franz again.  We already miss Mabel so much.

First of all, Zippy is the cutest dog ever. 😍 We got along from the first moment, and we were best friends and inseparable during the entire sit! She is always extremely excited to go with you, even if it's just to the supermarket. She behaves very well everywhere. I took her to a café where I worked for a bit, and she chilled and interacted with other dogs. She is also great company for dinners and sightseeing tours around the area. Zippy will make you happy just by looking at her. David is a gentleman and very welcoming! He made sure I knew where to go and the best things to do. David and Zippy are incredible. I highly recommend them!
