Selva is a lovely gentle kitty, she is sometimes quite talkative and loves cuddles. I really enjoyed getting to know her, providing cuddles to her when she requested, looking at the pigeons outside with her, and taking lots of selfies and photos of her because she is so cute!
Helen is also great! She is relaxed, caring, and has been available to respond to questions quickly.
Helen's flat is very cosy, tidy and in an awesome location - well-connected, in vibrant Kreuzberg, but also nicely quiet.

I had a really nice time cat-sitting there over the holidays. I'd be very happy to come back and highly recommend!

The cottage is great and has all the things anyone could need. We met up with Steve and Vanessa for a few hours prior to their departure and they were lovely. They have had several sitters, so were well equipped for guests and left all sorts of info in case we needed it. Also, we texted frequently about how things were going. We loved sitting in the sun room or being cozy by the fireplace with the dogs.
The village does not have a pub or store, so we shopped in Bury St. Edmunds and tried pubs in the neighboring villages. Lots to see in the region including the Abbey ruins in Bury, Ickworth House, Anglesey Abbey and the horse world of Newmarket. We did use our car every day as it was a bit long to walk to the next village.
We spent two weeks with Barney and Titch. They are sweet dogs and very companionable. As shelties, they do need their long walks twice a day, especially Barney who has a bit more energy than Titch. They bark at any dog or person they see, but once the hellos and sniffing are over, they are fine and just want to play or move on. Barney loves to fetch and it’s a good way to tire him out.
Culford Village was part of Culford Estate, owned by the Cornwallis family in the seventeenth century. Much of the estate was sold over the years and the remaining acreage is now a private school which allows travel on its footpaths. The parkland is beautiful with grand and quaint old buildings, giant trees, pastures, and meadows for walking the dogs. It was a great place to get the feel of England.
