What a fantastic sit, not only were we lucky enough to have delightful pets but we also spent time in an amazing house in a great location. Saskia and Justin made us feel very welcome from the very first point of contact with great communication along with an exemplary “Welcome Pack”. On the day of our arrival they invited us to have lunch with them, prior to taking the time and effort to show us around their beautiful home, plus explain everything that we needed to know about their home and their delightful pets, this also gave Roscoe and Bracken the opportunity to get accustomed to us prior to Saskia and Justin leaving for their holiday. Roscoe and Bracken are adorable and are fantastic company and so well behaved. They are very friendly loving dogs and were more than happy to spend time with us in the evening cuddled up at our feet, especially Roscoe as we have never known a dog that wants to give so much affection. If you are looking for a great location and to stay in an amazing house with two adorable dogs then this is a house sit not to be missed, Jackie and I have absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommended Saskia and Justin to any other potential sitters. It was hard to say goodbye to these boys, but we do hope to see you all again in the future.
Rachel was my first host at house-sitting. The time spent in her home with the delightful little dog was very pleasant indeed. All of the info required was at hand including bus and train timetables etc. It was a great intro to house-sitting and I have gone on to have many more. I would be happy sitting for Rachel again.
I was so lucky to be chosen to watch these Cornish Rex beauties, Raleigh and Bella, for three whole weeks. Cynthia and Jay's lovely home is in a great location in the Montrose District in Houston. I was able to walk to Whole foods, restaurants and other retail stores nearby. I also took the bus and the city electric BCycles all around town to parks, museums and yoga studios. The home, neighborhood and access to activities are exactly as described. The guest bedroom is super clean and comfy, and the bed has fabulous linens. It was a real treat to be here. Cynthia was super helpful with guidance and instructions, and she kindly picked me up from the airport. I really enjoyed getting to know her, sharing meals, and spending lots of time with these unique cats. They were very low maintenance and so enjoyable to spend time with. I feel very fortunate that this was my first official sit on the THS site. I'm grateful to Cynthia and Jay for interviewing me and giving me the opportunity to be in their home and take care of their babies. I would definitely return to Houston to do this sit if it were available again.
I had THE BEST stay at Zach’s gorgeous condo! The best part: KODA!! ☺️ As soon as I arrived, Koda greeted me so sweetly. I could already tell what a sweet, gentle soul he has. We had the best time at the Denny Substation dog park (just a 4 min walk). He did really well and was never too aggressive. He would let me know when he had enough play time. We would come back to the condo and cuddle then go back out for a few walks! Zach lives in a great location in Seattle, there is so much to see on your walks! Also, having Koda there, I felt VERY safe. Even though he is a gentle giant, I can tell he is also a protector. Zach’s place was absolutely stunning and so clean! He was so kind to walk me through everything and was very responsive and helpful when I would text him. His instructions were very thorough which I greatly appreciated bc every owner is different! Some leave you in the dark and then tell you their expectations later, which can be very stressful.. I’m thankful Zach was very clear in what he expected from day one. I highly recommend this sit to anyone. You’d be so lucky to spend time with Koda in this gorgeous apartment. I’m so excited to come back at the end of Feb! Thanks Zach for letting me take care of your precious Koda! ♥️
Toby and Melissa, all we can say is THANK YOU! We had a very warm welcome into their beautiful home and a delicious meal in the evening. Melissa was very well organised with all the information we could possibly need, printed out. Toby showed us around the garden and the more technical bits (electric box/heating etc.) again providing all the information we needed. We had the absolute pleasure of taking care of Raisin and Ella. Raisin was the most energetic 12 year old pup we have ever met. She loved her daily walks (even if she did sometimes take herself home) and cuddling up on the couch at night (my favourite part). Ella was full of fun, with endless energy throughout the day and then loved to curl up for the evening in a deep sleep. She loved chasing sticks and tennis balls and we're pretty sure was often dreaming about it. Both dogs walked perfectly on and off the lead, with no problems at all. Their house is beautiful and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We had a really great few weeks. Hopefully we will see you all again soon!
Fantastic experience! I stayed with Fluffy and Felix from March 2 to March 10 and had a blast. Anna, the host, left the house meticulously prepared and provided detailed instructions for the cats' care. Fluffy and Felix are affectionate once you earn their trust, making the stay enjoyable. The room was great, and communication was crystal clear. Highly recommended!
