WOW. Marla and Chad are the PERFECT sitters! They're sweet, caring, organized, CLEAN, reliable, responsible, communicative and overall wonderful humans! They were kind enough to meet the night prior to go over the Welcome Guide and to meet the pups. You could tell immediately that they are warm and true pet lovers. My boy dog is usually a little tentative of men, but he immediately warmed up to Chad. As well, he's not one to freely give out kisses on the face, but Marla was lucky enough to get some during their stay! :) I received pictures and updates daily (Marla was proactive in asking if I wanted pics and/or videos, and desired frequency of updates). We felt so free and relaxed on vacation knowing our dogs were in such loving and capable hands. It was the best gift they could have given us - peace of mind! They asked great questions during the walk-through, and came prepared after reading my (very) thorough Welcome Guide. As they knew it was my birthday, they left me a little present upon our return, which was SO thoughtful and greatly appreciated :) As well, they left our house SPOTLESS. Couldn't have asked for better sitters. 10/10!!! We'd love to have them again! Thank you SO MUCH!!
Frank was a wonderful sitter for my two cats!! He sent lots of pictures and kept me updated the whole time I was away. I felt very comfortable with both my home and pets in Frank’s care. Would highly recommend for your next sit!!
It was a real pleasure to look after Karma while Yinsu was traveling. He is a very bright and energetic cat and we spent a lot of time playing and cuddling. The apartment is great I felt very comfortable. Also the communication with Yinsu was great - I can highly recommend this cat sit and would be happy to see Karma again sometime! :)
I had a lovely time looking after Ellie, and Arthur and Cassie's home! Their home is a special place, surrounded by nature, and personally the sit was a great mental reset for me. I do think I'd recommend this sit more for couples than solo sitters as some human company would have been nice as it's pretty remote. They were kind enough to let me use their truck during the sit (Arthur picked me up from the airport and I dropped them off) and they did their best to make me comfortable and welcomed in their home. They were very transparent about their home renovations when I had applied which I was not concerned with. However I did find it to be a bit dusty which aggravated my allergies and Ellie sheds quite a bit which required regular brushing and vacuuming. Regular communication with them was great, however I never received a welcome guide which would have been nice to have ahead of the sit to better plan out my time there and to have more general details/recommendations prior (ex. dropping off trash at the transfer station). It wasn't noted in the listing that Ellie could not be left alone for more than 6hrs which limited how much exploring I was able to do as Hilo is 2hrs away and Kona is 1.5hrs away. Also, Ellie had an existing anal gland issue which wasn't mentioned to me until I had reached out to them about it. While Ellie is an older girl she has lots of energy and needed plenty of play time/mental stimulation. She's a smart cookie and I loved her company! Overall, I had a really great time; Thank you for letting me look after Ellie and your home!
Kathryn’s place is in the perfect location. The neighborhood has sidewalks throughout. There is a restaurant, coffee shop, park and local YMCA within walking distance. Convenient to downtown, Haywood and Woodruff Roads. Her baby, Brodie, is the absolute best!
Jennifer was very communicative before, during, and after the housesit. She provided me with all necessary information up front in case of emergencies, etc. The cats are total characters and eager for treats!
Aparna and her family were very hospitable and easy to communicate with. The house was cosy and close by to public transport. The area was peaceful to walk in and locals were friendly. Ruby is the most beautiful dog! She is very sweet and great company. She gets excited at the start of walks and needs a few prompts to sit and wait. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would gladly come back again.
Jeff and Siobhan are fantastic hosts. They showed me around the house and village, made sure I knew everything I needed to for my stay and left detailed instructions in the welcome guide. They kept in touch the whole time they were away. Pumpkin and Tigger definitely stole my heart! They are some of the cutest and most affectionate cats I've looked after. They would climb on to my lap at any opportunity and Tigger would come and roll on his back to ask for a tummy rub which was adorable. The house is fantastic: very comfortable and perfectly located by the sea. I loved exploring the nearby towns and the South Downs. Upper Beeding and Bramber Castle were definitely highlights. I would definitely recommend this sit!
