I hope I made you feel like you were on holiday also, by taking you on lots of wonderful walks in the woods, fields and to the beach to play in the water. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together looking after you, your gorgeous garden and Sheep friends! You helped me get back on my feet by being the best pals and always keeping me smiling, as both of you are so adorable and fun to be around that even when you would do something naughty, it was impossible to be upset (about a chewed slipper or something else). Serena and Vic, it was a pleasure meeting you! Thank you for this opportunity. It was the most wonderful experience I have had with Housesitting in all aspects. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy having Tim & Sasha by my side everyday and taking them on walks to various locations, I got to learn so much about gardening, plants, fixing new appliances in the house, amongst other things. Pet sitting for Peggy and Jim was an absolute pleasure. They generously had us over for a “pre-sit” dinner party with their friends who recommended us to them. It was not only a great way to get to know each other before the sit, but the food and their own Alberti wine were outstanding. Plus, we had the opportunity to meet Maggie, whom we fell for immediately, and to once again see our charming puppy pal, Lucy. The doggies are best friends, and it was so much fun watching them have a good time together. Maggie is a beautiful yellow lab with serene “old soul” energy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her! She is super fit and loves hiking in the local forests and walking the trails in her neighborhood. We've walked many dogs over the years and Maggie is the first ever to never pull on her leash. She thoroughly enjoyed playing with her toys and included us in her fun, which was a laugh out loud experience. We also loved hanging out with her in the evenings watching movies together. We miss Maggie’s delightful spirit and hope to see her again soon. Peggy and Jim's home, vineyard, and gardens are simply stunning. They designed and built their home themselves and we felt honored to be trusted with their lovely lodge. I had an especially fabulous time cooking in their gorgeous kitchen! The house is in the amazing Santa Cruz mountains and it's a quick jaunt to the redwoods, ocean, and fun downtown area that offers up great eateries, breweries, wineries, and cute shops to browse. You will enjoy your time in Santa Cruz. We highly recommend sitting for Peggy and Jim and spending time with sweet Maggie May!
Staying in Sandra and Clinton’s beautiful home has been our favourite Housesit. They were both great throughout the house sit and give us a detailed handover. Luther is a big friendly giant and such a lovely natured dog. We will definitely miss him. We were very lucky that the weather was lovely when we stayed, went on some lovely walks and seen some beautiful sunsets. We would definitely stay again! Thank you again :)
We had a great time taking care of Monty. He’s a very chill cat that is easy to be around. The house is also cute and cozy, it felt like home. They have an incredible back garden that backs right up to Bannockburn fields that are perfect for strolls. Julie was also happy to pick us up/drop us off at the train station which was an added bonus. Overall we had an excellent time at a great house with an equally great cat. Thanks again!
