This was perhaps our favourite house sit thus far. Everything was perfect! Dot is an absolutely gorgeous dog and it was such fun looking after her. She is well behaved but quite spirited and energetic. She is such a clever girl; we both fell in love with her. She is a very easy dog to care for. She loves her walks and can pull a little on her lead but once back home she will happily chill in her huge back garden on her own for hours.

Stuart and Carrie are a very warm, welcoming couple and we immediately felt at home in their house. They were always quick to answer any questions we had after they had left.Their house and grounds are absolutely stunning. The house is a former rectory so it is very spacious, and they’ve furnished it beautifully; we were very warm and cozy there. It’s also very private which we really loved. The chickens are super easy. We really appreciated having fresh eggs for breakfast; quite a treat.

Their little village is beautiful and quiet, and is only a few minutes drive for the famous literary town of Hay-on-Wye. (Try the fish pie at The Blue Boar; it’s the best I’ve ever tasted).

We would absolutely return any time to look after Dot. Thank you, Stuart and Carrie; we hope to see you again one day. ❤️

I cannot rave about sitting with Froggie and Pepe enough! They are the chillest cats I have ever met. They warmed up so quickly to both me and my partner. They are great snugglers and will play like they are far younger than they are. Well, Froggie will hunt the toys and Pepe stands by offering moral support.

Wayne and Frank are wonderful human beings! While I didn’t get to meet Frank in person, we did talk on the phone a bit. They are both warm, welcoming, and the only real negative is when Wayne left to meet up with Frank to go on their trip. I wanted to hang out and be friends with both of them!

Communication was great before and during this sit and the very simple expectations of how to care for the house and the cats were clear as can be.

Not only would I be willing to sit for Wayne and Frank again, I truly hope I can!

Great home and pets. Ruby is a great pup but can take a bit for her to warm up to you.

This was our first time using TrustedHousesitters and David and Julie made us feel immediately welcome and comfortable in their beautiful home. They invited us to stay the night before they departed and cooked us a lovely dinner as well as answering any of our questions about taking care of their home and lovely cat, Monty.

We were in communication with David & Julie before and during the sit, with all the information we could possibly need clearly provided in their detailed welcome pack.

Their home is full of character and has a beautiful setting. They also have a wonderful garden, full of fresh fruit and vegetables which they kindly encouraged us to make use of (and we happily did so!). We were fortunate to get some great weather for our sit - we made full use of it by exploring the local area on a few walks and enjoying their peaceful garden in the sunshine.

Caring for Monty was very easy and enjoyable. He was interactive with us from the start, but once he got to know us, he was very friendly and spent some evenings sat with us on the sofa. He is a healthy and happy cat, who often lets you know when he wants to be fed and comes and goes as he pleases during the day.

This first experience of using TrustedHousesitters could not have been better, and we want to thank David and Julie for making it such a positive experience. David & Julie are very friendly, helpful and easy-going and we really enjoyed getting to know them. We would not hesitate to recommend this housesit to anybody (or return ourselves if the opportunity arises!).

Riley
A beautiful home and three friendly dogs made for a memorable time! We loved caring for Riley’s dogs because they were so friendly and always wanted to hang with us. It was so easy to play with them in the big yard. They had the perfect blend of high energy for playtime and chill energy for couch and movie time. His home is comfortable and has beautiful views!
