Sitting for Adam and Isabel was wonderful! I had a chance to meet them before they left town, and they were very kind and welcoming. They made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed for a great sit. Their home is cozy and has everything you might need. Chapulín is a sweet guy who is easy to care for. He loves to sleep but has bursts of energy, especially after eating, and likes to be chased around the apartment. In the mornings we’d cuddle in bed together. I had a a lovely week with him and would definitely sit for Adam and Isabel again.
This was an excellent housesitting experience! **PET OWNERS** Lauren & Kevin provide a great 5-star housesitting experience! You couldn’t ask for kinder or more accommodating hosts. They made us feel very welcome immediately when we met to get a walk-thru of their home & responsibilities prior to the sit. They also provide a very detailed welcome guide* that is truly an excellent resource as it outlines everything clearly and sets you up for success. Communication was also great during the sit as they were very responsive when we reached out. *Tip – make sure to try the great neighborhood recommendations in their guide, yum! **HOME / LOCATION** They keep their apartment clutter-free and clean and it is located in a great walkable location that is perfect for exploring SF with transportation options close by. We drove our own car and, while the street fronting their apartment is busy, we were able to find parking options without a problem within 1-2 blocks of their apartment. As noted in their description, they are close to Golden Gate Park & Irving St. with all the great eating options – 2 thumbs up on location! **PET** We love Judah and miss him a ton already! He is the true super star of the sit - such a sweet boy and so easy to love. We fell into a great daily routine of walking with him in Golden Gate Park where he was everyone’s friend and always up for extra cuddles or pets. At home, he was always happy to spend time hanging out right by our side. A serious nod to Lauren & Kevin on how they have trained Judah as he is the best doggo & so well-behaved! His laid-back demeanor and affection truly represent the love & care they’ve put into his well-being. If you’re lucky enough to get chosen for this sit, be ready for “Judah-withdrawals” when you say goodbye…it’s a real thing! Overall, two big thumbs up for this sit! Thanks again Lauren & Kevin – we hope our paths cross again. Please give Judah a big hug for us!
Caroline and Guys home is an eclectic mix of old and new, filled with a lifetime of family memories and nic-nacs. They did everything they could to make my stay comfortable, including topping up the wood for the log burner and sending me a video to explain how to use the tv (which was appreciated!). I had regular communication with Caroline, who replied to any questions I had promptly and helpfully. The location is peaceful countryside, a great base to go off exploring the area. You will have lots of time for this as Olly is very independent and he and the chickens are easy to care for. Olly was great company and loved getting a bit of fuss. Be careful on the stairs though, he almost tripped me up a few times!!
My time in Klaudia & Daniel apartment was very enjoyable. Thelma and Louise are lovely pets. They do not like too much being cuddled, but they love staying in the human presence, sleeping or playing nearby. The bunnies girls are very sweet and adorable. The hosts are very nice and kind people. Their place is warm and inviting with everything I needed during my short stay. The location is also very good- not too far from the beach (you can use a city bike to go there within a couple of minutes or walk for around 30 min). It is also very easy to go to the city center as the tramway station is just next to the building. I highly recommend!
Housesitting for Sara and Martin was a great experience all around! They were very welcoming, good with communication and friendly. Their home was very comfortable and perfectly located. I enjoyed being next to different paths to conveniently walk Buddy and roller skate. Plus, Addison is nearby with many different options to shop at or eat out. Buddy and Belinda were really easy to care for the entire time. It took a couple of days for Buddy to completely warm up to me since he was missing his family, but even then, he was still friendly. Belinda was a nice snuggler to have. Honestly, my heart melted many times with how darn cuteee, smart and well-behaved they both were. Such sweet pets with funny personalities! They are easy to miss already lol. Thanks again Sara & Martin!
