Sunil is conscientious, self sufficient, and very personable. He took good care of our furry critters (a dog and a rabbit), who seemed very happy and relaxed on our return. Sunil communicated with us during our absence about any issues that arose and sent us photos and videos periodically of our pets. The house was neat and tidy on our return and we were happy to have had him as a house/pet-sitter.
Jose did a great job for us. We came home to our two happy dogs and a clean home. He even washed the bedsheets from his bed! Highly recommended!
Hayley was supposed to sit for my puppy for 8 nights, but only made it 3 as she had trouble handling him. He is a puppy and higher energy so I understand, but having to find alternate care for Jerry less than halfway though the sit, while I was across country, was challenging. The person who watched Jerry for the remainder of the time had no problem with him at all. Hayley is really nice, communicative, and left my house spotless. I think she'd be fantastic with a more chill, older pet but if yours is younger or high energy, I'd probably look elsewhere.
Ruth & Peter made us feel so welcome when we arrived, we immediately felt at home. They have a beautiful home and garden, with two amazing dogs (who we fell in love with), the cats (who kept themselves to themselves) and the chickens from whom we enjoyed fresh eggs every morning. From the gracious and generous hosts, to the stars of our sit, Arthur and Merlín, this house/pet sit was perfect in every way and we hope one day to return.
Because we were already in Oxford we were able to meet up a week before our sit, take a turn around the welcoming Summertown neighborhood, experience familiar walks near the river and chat about Bracken, and Susan's home. Bracken is highly affectionate, well trained to a regular routine, active and friendly who sought out her doggie and human friends on regular twice daily walks , kept us company around the house (and on the sofa) and relished her simple meals. In all Bracken is easy to love and care for! Susan enjoys gardening and grows her own vegetables. We were able to enjoy both the beautiful garden and some of it's produce. Her home is modern, well equpped and comfortable, a short walk from both bus routes and shopping and there are helpful neighbors. Thank you, Susan and Bracken!
