Magical kitty in sunny Ibiza Gertie (named after the town of Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera where she came from) is a blind cat, except nobody ever told her that! She can see very well (with her ears) and always looks at you when you talk to her. It’s amazing how she moves around the apartment and on the balcony, running after her toy mice and climbing her two metres high cat tree. I once saw her go through our luggage and find her Christmas present (a toy mouse) early! She has a great personality, she’s a very happy cat and she likes to be around us, keeping us warm (or are we keeping her warm?) in the evening and sleeping on our bed at night. In the morning it’s purring, cuddling and attacking our feet under the blankets time. It’s difficult to choose between spending all day with her or going out to explore Ibiza. After a smooth sunset ferry ride we arrived in Ibiza where we were welcomed by Kate and Moose (a very friendly and relaxed crazy cat couple) who cooked us a wonderful meal. The (sea front!) apartment has a large wrap-around balcony with panorama views. Ibiza is quite an exotic island. The weather was nice and sunny every day. The sea is never far away, with numerous bays and beaches to watch the sunset. Lots of walking along the coast through pine forests. We also love Eivissa’s (2700 years!) old walled town and its many museums. We visited the salt fields with huge pink flamingos. We learned some Ibicenco. We hope Gertie will have us sit her again in the future!
This was a really beautiful sit! Megan kindly agreed for me to petsit together with my friend Katrin, and we both fell in love with Beertje! She is so friendly and adorable and one of the gentlest, and best-behaved larger dogs I know. Looking after her was such a pleasure, we had a beautiful time both on the walks and at home. Close to Megans home is a nice, large park which is great for walks. Also the apartment is really lovely! On top of that, Megan provided us with clear instructions, a really clean and welcoming apartment and a card and present which we really appreciated. I recommend this petsit and would love to look after Beertje again!
Prior to the 'sit' Kristen initially contacted us via a WhatsApp video call. We all agreed later that we were not fans of video chats so all ongoing interaction was by the written (typed!), word. As a first time user of T.H.S's Kristen was obviously a little apprehensive to begin, but we soon struck up an easy dialogue. We arrived two days prior to the start date and it felt as though we had known Kristen for much longer. We were treated to home cooked food and driven around for familiarity with various stores, etc. Kristen has a lovely home in a quiet small residential development and has lovely neighbours. Her two cat sisters, Moonbeam and Marmite, are adorable and completely won our hearts. At the end of our two months with them we were very reluctant to depart. We kept in regular contact with Kristen via WhatsApp during her time in America and enjoyed sharing her experiences. Kristen is a warm hearted, friendly and generous lady with two of the sweetest felines we have had the pleasure of looking after! We hope we may be called on to assist again, but if unable to, we thoroughly recommend a 'sit' for Moonbeam and Marmite.
Patricia was so kind and helpful! She picked me up from the station and gave me in depth details to their lovely home! They have a lovely garden that I was lucky enough to enjoy the few days of sunshine in! Coco is an easy going cat, who once comfortable will come snuggle on your lap! The town is very green and lovely to spend a peaceful few days! Definitely recommend!
A delightful stay in Berkeley with Molly. Rebecca was kind and accommodating as a host- although we did not meet in person, she left detailed instructions and was available in case I had any questions. Molly is a sweet and intelligent dog who loves to walk and be around people. It was fun getting to know her! The home is comfortable and centrally located, close to the BART station and walking distance to groceries and cafes. I especially enjoyed spending time in the backyard where there is a nice garden, several fruit trees and lounging space to enjoy the afternoon sun. I highly recommend this sit :)
What an amazing pet sit this was! We met Edward on a video beforehand to get acquainted with everyone and we knew straight away that we would enjoy our time in Hudson. The home was beautiful and in a great safe & friendly neighborhood. Declan was such a joy to look after.Charlie Sofia took a day or so to warm to us but when she did she was so much fun to play with. Blue was very chilled and laid back but very friendly. Everything was organized & communication was outstanding before and during the sit. We highly recommend this sit and would recommend caring for these beautiful pets to anyone.
