I thoroughly enjoyed my time here at Brenda's lovely home. All of the rescued pets have loving dispositions. Magic and Sage are still a little shy/timid yet are coming along just fine with continual love and training from their humans. They are gentle to interact with. They enjoy their walks and are very polite when meeting other dogs in the neighborhood. Smoky is a beautiful cat. Loving and curious as cats are! I highly recommend this house sit.
Stephanie was fantastic! She printed out a comprehensive welcome guide and instructions with helpful pictures, she was quick & responsive with communication, & she is just an overall great human being!🥰 the home was clean & comfortable. I will miss Hobbs so much, he is well trained and so very lovable. Being allowed to use the car was a lifesaver given how far away her place was. Thank you for a great stay
It was a joy to house sit for Matilda. Her cat Winston and her partners dog Sampson were easy to care for, they were communicative and could also let you know what they wanted. They get along well together and Sampson even let’s you know when Winston is ready to come back inside; too cute! Winston would join us on our walks for a short distance, like on trips to the mailbox up the road. Sampson loved cuddles and Winston once he warmed to us would come and sit with us. So lovely 😊 Matilda has a beautiful home located on a private lane with gorgeous views of the mountains. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Matilda is an excellent communicator, provided a welcome guide and printed notes and always responded quickly to any questions we had. We thoroughly enjoyed this house sit and would recommend the experience to anyone considering an opportunity.

We had a wonderful time housesitting for Carolyn and Ian. Their home is absolutely gorgeous and in a brilliant location: a couple of great pubs and a co-op right on the doorstep. The walks nearby are fantastic, we particularly like Alyn Waters where the dogs can run for miles and miles (and they do!!). The highlight of our stay were Bonnie and Cody. These two are dreams to look after - they are super affectionate, happy, wiggly springers. They’re great fun to walk (100mph at all times in true spaniel fashion) and will cuddle all evening. Thanks Carolyn and Ian for a wonderful stay and please do think of us if you’re looking for a sitter again!
Nathan and Knack are the sweetest pets ever! They were so loving, friendly, and easy to care for. It was hard to leave them after two weeks. Richard and Serena were easy to communicate with and made me feel safe and welcome. Mount Shasta is such a special location. I definitely recommend this sit!!

Mark and Wendy at Scallywags are simply brilliant - they provided an excellent boarding and walking service while we were away for 3 weeks for our young puppy Jess (4 months). They provided regular updates with photos and Jess clearly loved it with them. I highly recommend them.

A lovely person, very calm and knowledgeable about animals. We needed someone to look after our two dogs for a few hours while my wife and I attended a funeral and we couldn't have have found anyone better than Kay. The dogs are not used to being left on their own and they were not in their usual home, but were happy to be left with Kay and weren't at all stressed when we returned. Kay visited the house the day before to meet us and let the dogs get to know her, plus was very prompt with her arrival on that and the following day. She made us feel comfortable in that there was no pressure on us to return by a certain time. Very highly recommended!
Kay was lovely our 2 cats took to her straight away , we were away for a long period so there flea treatment needed doing to all done and kept upto date. I highly recommend Kay and val who also covered some of our time away. I felt very relaxed knowing that Jasper and Sasha were in good hands. Thank you both I'll be in touch soon for our next holiday.
Kay is extremely passionate about her business. Kay bonded extremely quickly with our 10 year old rescue husky and was flexible to meet our dogs needs. We would highly recommend, it’s reassuring to know your loved pet is being treated like royalty. Home Pet Care is a professional business, fully insured and doing it for all the right reasons. Our husky has two visits per day and gets really excited to see Kay, that is all we could ask for.
Kay came and took care of our small and excitable one year old puppy for us while we stayed at Chewton Glen hotel back in July. From our first contact and through to meeting her, we knew we could trust her with our pup and we were not disappointed. Kay came to Chewton Glen and walked him around the grounds for 2 hours while we got married, and when he returned we had a very happy and tired boy who had obviously had a wonderful time! Kay took the time to meet him first and get to know some of his behaviours, and he then happily walked off with a wagging tail! This is a great service, and we are very thankful we found her and would not hesitate to use her again should we be in the area and need a similar service. Thank you again!

Kay has been amazing! We needed dog care at short notice and kay bent over backwards to help us out. Our grumpy chihuahua who normally hates visitors took a shine to her almost immediately. Also our new puppy loves her also. Very trustworthy and reliable and feel very comfortable giving Kay the key to our house and looking after our dogs while we are at work. Kat at Home Pet care is a complete blessing. It is always weird letting a stranger into your house to look after pets when on holiday. However, I can safely say Kay is a magician with pets I would definitely say a "pet whisperer". I have never seen my pets calmer! She is kind, caring and so thoughtful. Giving updates when needed. I really cannot recommend anyone else. Because she 'cares'! What is better she is even highly qualified in pet care (and botany, who knew?), given one of my pets is old and has a few health issues and she even watered my plants! Kay is fantastic - This is the first time I have ever left my aging - 17 and 14 year old Siamese (They wear jumpers) with anyone else. Kay made sure they had hot water bottles, jumpers on, medication, clean litter tray and plenty of food and TLC. I will never use anyone else in the future. Thank you very much Kay.

We have been using Sophies Pet Care since August for our 2 dogs, Scooby and Bentley. We do a lot of the dog walking but they do 3 walks a week and both dogs love it. It has helped with them getting used to other dogs again. The team at Sophies are simply the best and nothing is too much trouble. Really impressed by what they do and how they do it - thank you!

They are extremely professional with a very good team of nannies working for them. I have used them for quite a few years now and both my dogs absolutely love going to stay with them and their nannies. It is a home from home experience for them and therefore I can relax and not have to worry about them. Sophie takes on board all their traits, likes and dislikes so they are looked after the same as I would look after them. Their on line booking in system is very user friendly and makes booking so easy. I totally recommend Sophies Pet Care and so do my dogs!!!
We have recently been having our young boy Lab (20 months) walked with Sophie's Pet Care 3 times a week. He thoroughly enjoys the forest walks and, as he is being walked with other dogs, it has really helped with his dog socialisation.
Thank you ever so much for taking such good care of our cats and guinea pig. We have been away and we're always nervous of leaving them in a cattery, but Sophie's Pet Care came twice a day, in the comfort of our fur babies own home. They kept us updated and the utility room was lovely and clean when we got home. Thank you, will definitely use again. Lots of love from Loki, Leonardo, Alfonso and Cloud :)
Other reviews seem favourable hence why we chose Sophies to look after our cat and fish while we were away. Wish we hadn't bothered now as we ended up over £600 out of pocket. Could not manage to empty a litter tray correctly just removing the solids and tops of clumped litter meaning the entire bottom layer of litter was solid. This resulted in her refusing to use the tray and peed on our bed instead. Depite trying to get it cleaned and using enzyme cleaners the mattress could not be saved and had to be replaced at a cost of over £600. The scoop was right next to the tray, no attempt was made to contact us (we were in the UK and both mobile numbers were provided). I know the response from the owners will cite "stress" but I strongly refute this - she has never peed anywhere but the tray in her 7 years even when we had new central heating replaced by several plumbers, storms, fireworks etc etc. Yes, we were given a refund for the £65 we paid out but that didn't even cover the cost of trying to save the mattress. Overall the service was a huge disappointment and an expensive lesson. Might I suggest you stick to walking dogs?
Sophie's Pet Care have been so helpful over the last couple of years since I have been using them for dog walks. They always manage to fit us in when I need help at the last minute. The best thing is that my dog absolutely loves his walks, the other dogs and all of the rangers! I couldn't be without Sophie's so THANK YOU!
We have now used Sophie's Pet Care for a couple of years...we have always experienced a friendly and professional service - never has there been anything other than this which has made us, and our Cockerpoo, very happy. We were very much impressed with Sophie's Cats. They mix efficiency with understanding of and fondness for cats. We returned after 10 days away to find the place clean and tidy, and two well groomed and happy cats. Use this firm : You won't get better.
