Things went very smoothly with our house sitter, Sharon. Our Button is nervous and has a tendency to hide from ppl but he was so relaxed when we returned home that we knew he’d enjoyed her company. Sharon made arrangements to meet Button & us a week or so before our departure which was a good idea. She sent us a msg each evening & some photos which showed us he was very content. When we arrived home, Sharon had left everything clean and tidy and perfect to come home to. We would highly recommend her.
Gisela was a wonderful pet sitter for my two cats and took good care of the apartment while I was away for two weeks. She provided me with regular updates and also managed to handle a maintenance appointment in the apartment.
We could not have hoped for a better pet sitter than Evyh. She first agreed to stay with our standard poodle, Paddy, for eight days. Just prior to her coming we heard our daughter was getting married 3500 miles away. We asked Evyh if she could stay another ten days so we could attend the wedding. She graciously agreed although she needed to shift other plans she had in place. Our travel plans necessitated that we would be home for three days between trips. Evyh declined our offer of a hotel and we lived together for the few days as family. Being proficient in French cooking, she made us delicious meals and taught me skills in French sauce making (Roquefort sauce over steak) and how to flip and flame crepes Suzette! After years of eating boiled lobster (this is Maine), I learned how to make exquisite grilled lobster! She was a delight to have in our kitchen and our home. Our dog, Paddy, greatly enjoyed Evyh’s care. Paddy weighs 78 pounds and we were concerned he would be too strong for her. She had him under control from the beginning with the use of his harness and plenty of treats. She sent us photos of him sleeping, cuddled with her on the couch! She asked our permission to take him on a 3 hour drive to Acadia National Park, a must-see in Maine. We agreed and they had a wonderful adventure. She sent photos to share their fun. She spent hours daily in walking Paddy on trails behind our home while foraging for edible mushrooms! The season and conditions were right and she shared her finds with us. The wild mushrooms were a delicious add to the meals we shared. Overall, we give Evyh our highest rating! Our home was clean and tidy, she interacted well with neighbors, communicated with us daily, but most importantly, she was a loving caregiver for our Paddy. He missed her after she had left! We are very grateful to her for our time together.
