I was super happy that Terry & Vinnie were available for a second sit at my home. Once again they were perfect sitters in every way! I felt very at ease knowing they would be here with my pets, even my elderly cat, Koko, warmed up to them and that in itself is a miracle. I came home to a very relaxed house of happy animals, what more could you ask for?
Amy was a consummate communicator - very friendly and super helpful and supportive. Her Welcome Guide was thorough. Her house was clean, comfy and bright. It was outside of downtown Edinburgh in a very quiet area but easily accessible to the sights and the beach. My flight was delayed by 24 hours so I missed meeting her but she took this in her stride, which I appreciated! Fudge was independent and easy to care for. She also was very communicative! She definitely rules the house so once that's clear things are easier :) Amy has lovely neighbours who took me grocery shopping. The whole atmosphere of the sit was one of caring and positivity. I highly recommend it.
We spent a wonderful 2.5 weeks here looking after Milly, Sophie, Aslan and Winston. Milly and Sophie are the most gentle, loving dogs you could ever meet. We enjoyed stay at home days when we would walk them over the extensive land that surrounds the house but they were equally happy accompanying us on our day trips out as we explored the local area. If we stopped at a cafe or bar they would just wait patiently until we were ready to move on. With such easy company they quickly became part of our everyday life and we still miss their company. Aslan and Winston are more independent but enjoyed being made a fuss of. Aslan needs his nose and ears wiped daily but he never once seemed perturbed by this. Aslan appears the more elderly and spent more time at home. Winston likes to explore a bit further afield during the day. However they were both very good at responding to recall if you need them to return to the house and they were always there in time for dinner! In the evenings we all enjoyed snuggling up together on the sofa despite a bit of a competition to see who could get the best spot in front of the log fire! (Our sit was in January). We never met Frederik as he was away but instead we met his lovely wife Hester who couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. Hester clearly explained to us the feeding routines and how everything worked as well as leaving written instructions. She also responded quickly to a couple of queries we had about where things were whilst she was away. The house itself has a rustic charm and has all the basic facilities you will need. It is set in a very rural location, although the Autodromo race track is located just down the road and there was some background noise from this during our stay. You will definitely need a car for this sit if you want to get out and about as there is no public transport and no local shops. With your own transport popular destinations such as Lagos, Alvor, Portimão and Aljezur are all easily accessible. We would definitely recommend this sit to anyone who is quite happy to enjoy country life. We guarantee you couldn’t have better companions than Milly, Sophie, Aslan and Winston.
The most educated dogs ever. Both have very different and lovely personalities. Dora is very understanding and will tell you everything you need to know. The apartment has everything you would need and excellent location.
This sit is perfect for anyone looking to relax and settle into the countryside for awhile! Jenna and Ben were very accommodating and welcomed me into their cozy cottage which is undergoing renovations. The internet is high speed which is great for any remote workers. The home is quite remote, however, they do provide ebikes which are so fun! Ruger is a very sweet guy who will warm up to you quite quickly after a proper introduction. I would definitely take this sit again!! All the best with the rest of the renovations guys!
Ruth has a beautiful & comfortable home in Sausalito in the best location. Moscow and Sochi are the cutest pups and so much fun! I had a wonderful time with them and would love to sit for them any time!
I had a delightful time with Digby and Winston, it felt like I was on holiday, with a couple of furry friends included in the package. John is a wonderful and generous host, the house is soooooo comfortable and beautiful and the setting is stunning. The dogs love attention and apples. Even with the damp/wet weather, wandering around the grounds with the dogs is relaxing and enjoyable.
