We were so pleased to be given the opportunity to sit for David and Nancy's much loved animals. We met prior to the sit and enjoyed spending there and made very welcome. It gave us time to get introduced to Oxmo, Alfie, Arlo, Nora and Cora. The house is a lovely french rural cottage with beautiful gardens and located within a short distance of lovely towns, beaches and countryside. It is well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Alfie and Arlo are loving and come to cosy up in the evenings in front of the fire but easy to care for and come and go during the day. This was such a wonderful sit—Dallas and Chico are the sweetest pair who adore each other, and love to play and socialize with you...truly dream kitties! They're both cuddly and are happy to receive belly rubs, chin scratches, anything. Chico is especially friendly and will steal your heart by being your constant companion; he was like a therapy cat <3 Dallas is also very affectionate, and I loved watching the two of them interact because they're so caring toward each other and great at taking turns chasing a toy during play time. Amanda is friendly, thoughtful, and welcoming; although the timing of our travels meant we weren't able to meet in person for the handoff, she made the transition easy by providing thorough information in her Welcome Guide and sending short videos demonstrating actions like how to fill the cat feeder, access the building, etc. She also left helpful sticky notes on a few important spots around the house, which was a detail I really appreciated. Amanda is great at communicating and was quick to respond when I texted with questions during the sit. Her apartment is clean and beautiful, with a comfortable desk area for working remotely. She has one of the best cat setups I've seen—climbing/perching area on the wall, window hammocks, fully enclosed balcony, and plenty of toys...no wonder Dallas and Chico are such happy, contented cats! The location is ideal; it's quiet and residential, but just a few blocks away from a lively street full of shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this sit and would love to sit for Dallas and Chico again!
Jaxie is a very friendly and affectionate furry friend. We enjoyed taking her to the dog park every day and petting her on the couch while we watched TV. We recommend that whenever you go out for a walk with her you take her close because she gets very excited and wants to run! In fact, they have been running with Bruno several times (always on a leash). She will always want to be with you wherever you go in the house. She loves it when you brush her hair! The house is very bright and overlooks a small forest, so it has a beautiful green view! Everything was very clean and tidy when we arrived and Tammy left us everything we needed for our stay. Communication with her was very friendly and fluid from the beginning. We really enjoyed this sit and would definitely recommend it and would look after Jaxie again if we get the chance!
Loved this sit with Walter and Zelda!! Two of the most special cats I have ever met. They are snuggly, funny and the best alarm clocks. Kasey was a wonderful host and made sure I had everything I needed for an enjoyable and comfortable sit. Communication was efficient and easy. It was a treat spending time in her calm, lovely home with her fabulous cats. Would love to come back and really miss Zelda and Walter! They became my friends - really special.
Athena ended up taking Charlie with her on her roadtrip this time. With this last minute turn of events, Athena still graciously hosted me at her apartment for the week. And I was very grateful for her generosity and good communication throughout. I hope to get the chance to hang with Charlie again on a future sit. Her one-bedroom apartment is right at the base of the mountains and in a very quiet neighborhood. She has SO many plants, a nice standing desk to work, the hot water is great, the bed is comfy, and the apartment complex has easy covered parking.
