It was an absolute pleasure to be able to cat sit for Liz and Stan. They are such delightful and cultured people that I'm happy to be connected to them. Their kitties, Kitty-chan and Mike-chan, are super loving kitties, and no problem at all. Myself and my daughter (who visited for a short time while I was there) absolutely fell in love with these two characters. Kitty is chatty and a flopper, just as Stan had shared. I loved when she would come back inside from outside and flop around in excitement while meowing the song of her people. So darling. And then Mike was just as talkative, but in a lower voice, and with just as much enthusiasm. Very soft and patient when I would brush Mike. The Otto/Buck's home is located in Elberta just south of Frankfort, and walking distance to Lake Michigan and the sand dunes. The wifi was perfect, no issues. It is an old barn that has been amazingly renovated into a modern Japanese-styled abode. They even have their very own Onsen. It was like being on a true retreat in the woods and as if I actually left the country to Japan. Their home cannot be matched in unique beauty. I had a pleasant stay and look forward to seeing them all again! I recommend this sit if you love the country, Japanese influence, and the unmatched beauty of Lake Michigan.
