A lovely stay with Cookie and Cracker over Christmas. They were perfect companions. Donna and Keith are genuine, friendly and kind hosts. They've thought of absolutely everything a sitter could need (and more) which was all clearly explained in the welcome pack. The house was cosy and warm, with the most comfortable bed! The village was so sweet and beautifully lit up for Christmas, it has a pub and local shop. Cookie and Cracker are fun, easy to walk dogs. They have great training and were brilliant in the car. I was able to travel with them and visit interesting places in The Cotswolds and surrounding areas. It was midwinter so walks were muddy at times but there is an outdoor sink with hot water at the house for washing. They were very used to this and behaved perfectly. Watching the multitude of different birds on the feeders in the garden was another highlight. I'd go back anytime.
This was a wonderful sit! Linus is such a sweet and mellow pup. The area is great. There is a bus stop close by if needed. The house was really cozy. The hosts were a joy. Would definitely recommend this sit!
Adam and Vita were a pleasure to sit for and we would definitely sit again. Their home is in a great location with a huge balcony, a beautiful view and spacious floor plan. They are laid back and easy to communicate with. Billy and Binky are two very cool rabbits with very different personalities. They are very entertaining and easy to care for. We had a great time and the bunnies brought a lot of laughter.
We had the absolute pleasure of housesitting for Vicki's beautiful home in Boise, nestled in the Barber Valley neighborhood. This place is a gem! Vicki's house is not just lovely, but also incredibly clean and modern, making our stay a true delight. The location couldn't be better. With hiking and biking trails just minutes away, we were able to fully embrace the beauty of Boise's natural surroundings. It's a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts! Ernie was the perfect house companion. He is not only calm and cuddly but also incredibly friendly with a fantastic personality. We loved watching him play with the bugs he'd find on the back patio – he's adorable. Vicki was an exceptional host. She provided us with fantastic local recommendations that made our stay even more enjoyable. She truly went above and beyond in making us feel at home. The extra touches like new towels, backup toiletries, and the generous use of her bikes were incredibly thoughtful and greatly appreciated. We can't recommend Vicki's home and Ernie enough. If you're looking for a fantastic housesit in Boise, this is it. Thank you, Vicki, for making our housesitting experience so wonderful. We'd love to come back!
Ani and myself absolutely loved our time at Willie and Jenny's lovely home. Communication was great before and during the sit. Delphi, Zuma and Polly were amazing. We enjoyed many walks with Delphi and Zuma around rural Dorset. Polly checked in during feeding times, with occasional visits in the kitchen and lounge. Delphi and Zuma are very well trained. Great on and off the lead. Very responsive to the dog whistle. The local shop close by has all the basics needed. We also enjoyed walking over to the pub for some meals. The Wifi as advertised is indeed high speed. We had a download of 100Mbps and upload of 30Mbps. More than enough to work on, and more than we have in our place in London. We have already confirmed our next sit for Oct. Cannot wait to come back!
Affectionate, Communicative, Fluffy Lover THE LOVER: Bob, Bobby, Robert, bebeee boy! Such a sweet sweet guy. Loves to cuddle, nap and be close. Gentle, loving and kind. Will never hiss, get rowdy or crazy - and will let ya know if anything is not to his standard. Although he will eat when you feed him, he is a creature of habit and will give you the “hello Clarice” look at exact times if you delay. He loves someone who is home with him and will likely come over if he’s awake and prompt ya for a snackey snack. Heed mom’s warning and only feed him when you get up and right before bed (not portions throughout the day) otherwise he will be more likely to wake you as he roams and grazes in the wee hours. While he’s good with a little variety he prefers his routine and wants to sleep on you in mom’s bed under the covers. Keep an eye on his ears, as he has had infections in the past with ear/eye drainage. If he is messing with his ears a lot, scratching, noisy or leaking be sure to tell mom asap. He prefers you clean his litter asap, although his grace will be extended a couple of days. If it gets windy outside, be sure to clean up the patio/“catio” as Bob likes to get his regular Vitamin D therapy laying in the sun daily. If you have scent of other fur babies on your stuff, be sure to square those things away in the closet behind closed doors as you’re in Bob’s house! If he happens to make an illegal pee, make note of the spot, what was happening or any changes to routine. If you catch him in the act note if he was marking - raised tail typically vertical surfaces or sitting down, horizontal surfaces and scratching to cover up after, as the latter can be a sign of health-concerns. You can tell how comfortable he is in general based on how much he lets go and relaxes during this many naps, preferably on your warm body. THE HOME: The apartment is well stocked with everything you would need during your stay. The place is artistic, chic and warm open-air vibe. You can tell the person who lives here has good taste and is a creative with little touches that are adorable and fun. Location is very close and walkable to the beautiful, culturally hip and at times eclectic Lake Merritt. Grocery stores, restaurants and some shops are nearby as well. You don’t need a car. If you do have one, street parking is available (just be sure to note street cleaning signs). Area is urban: be street smart, don’t leave anything visible in your car and avoid walking neighborhood after dark. Farmers markets on Saturdays are lovely, drum circles and people picnicking are a regular thing and encouraged to enjoy :) THE MOM: Sophie is a considerate, communicative and respectful person. She is prompt with communication and appreciates any pic/videos/updates of her guy. She is conscientious to make sure her guests feel comfortable and at home during their stay. She was flexible with my travel schedule and making overlapping times good for us both.
