Unfortunately Leda was not as she seemed in her profile. The day she arrived she was chatty and pleasant although she did have a bee in her bonnet about how badly she had been treated by the airline. After settling in she made herself at home but seemed to ignore the dogs which I found odd as she said she liked dogs. When I was leaving I asked Leda for her phone number so I could contact her, but she refused to give it to me saying I can contact her through the website only, but unfortunately I didn't have time to discuss this as I had a flight ho catch. During her stay I had numerous messages from her complaining that things weren't working, all of this had been explained to her before I had left (my house is old so some things work differently) Then the last straw for me was 5 days near the end of her stay she had told me she had returned late to the house and the police were waiting for her as my dog had escaped, she was more concerned that the police asked to see her I.D than the fact Carmine had gotten out and then a few messages later she told me my dog had attacked another dog and its owner (I found out later that, that had not been the case at all) I was absolutely terrified and I called the police myself to hear them tell me the dog had just been out on the road and they took her home and no harm had been caused at all. Leda then tried to lecture me on having my dogs ID chip updated with my address???? The last 5 days of my holiday away was awful, I knew she wasn't as responsible as she seemed and that the dogs were being left all day with no company. As I had stupidly left my car for Leda to use (for free) I collected it from the airport as I had instructed her to leave it there. I got home to a very dirty house, nothing had been cleaned in 3 weeks, the dogs bedding was filthy, the plants hadn't been watered and she had left a note complaining some more before telling my she had badly damaged my car and left her details for repair. I have contacted her about the repair costs where she has made excuses for not paying up. I am so disappointed that I allowed Leda into my home, she has made me so upset and angry that someone of her age could be so selfish and irresponsible.
Rachelle did a fabulous job taking care of our cats and home for ten days. She was immediately confidence-inspiring when we initially FaceTimed with her, and easy to communicate with while we were away. We had to contact her about a house issue while we were away, and she responded right away and helped us figure things out. Our cats clearly liked her, and she liked them. When we returned home our house was in perfect condition and Rachelle had even left us a lovely plant. We would be very happy to have her back to sit in the future.
Jen was totally fantastic! Such a kind, considerate, sweet person, quick to respond and clear in all her communications, and very detail-minded - not to mention our cat bonded with her immediately. We loved having her here, and we could tell from the daily videos and photos our cat did too. Our place was very clean and tidy when we returned. She even left us a note and attached the key to a keychain that says zeewoi! Jen goes the extra mile in every way, and we highly recommend her. 10 stars!
