Wilbur is a very affectionate companion with a green eyed pink nosed charm that cant be ignored. Spend some time brushing him combined with some chin scratching and you'll have a friend for life. The apartment is very conveniently located next to the bridge into DC. Indeed in the building hallway there are amazing views of the Potomac and the monuments. There were 2 good sized beds in the guest room should you need an extra. Natalie and Kia were great hosts, even leaving a loaf of home baked sourdough bread. Thanks for everything. Hope to be able to hang out with Wilbur again one day.
The basics: If you're fortunate enough to have the chance to apply for a housesit for Lesley and Jamie, then by all means do so! I'm certain that you'll love it. The people: Lesley and Jamie were supportive and communicative from the start. They made everything easy and wonderfully pleasant. Upon both my arrival and reluctant departure, I was treated to transportation and a lovely meal. They are fun, interesting, and lovely company. The pet(s): Ailsa (the dog) and Mohawk (the cat) are affectionate, playful, and delightfully mischievous. Unsurprisingly, I grew attached to both. Sure, given her relatively advanced age, Ailsa slept quite a bit, but she maintains a fun-loving spirit that's all puppy. Mohawk often slept close by - no matter when or where - and was himself charmingly puppy-like. Even the hens showed their character; I felt a sense of honor when I earned their trust and they resumed producing eggs. The place: This was my first time in this part of Sussex and I absolutely loved it. It's certainly photogenic, but there's a friendliness and charm that goes well beyond it being a "chocolate-box village". I certainly recommend that a sitter has a car, but I nevertheless enjoyed my walks to nearby shops. Lesley and Jamie have created an incredibly nice home; it's easy among the most comfortable places I've stayed and I'm still talking about its many comforts and excellent design. Wonderful all around! I'd be happy to return!
I spent the week with the most charming little dog ZsaZsa and two beautiful cats, Charlie and Presley. They were all very well behaved and a credit to Kacey and Dee. The welcome guide was comprehensive and helpful. The house was very comfortable with some lovely walks between Herne Bay and Whitstable, along the shore. I would be delighted to sit again at any time.
You can confidently believe all the heart-felt wonderful reviews about this lovely, lovely pet sit. Nutmeg and Yarra are so fun and affectionate, and Mishu is a very special cat. Eve and Elemitu are so nice. Eve is super-organised and was great at communicating throughout. Their home is really comfy and in a great location. My son and I had such a nice stay. I couldn't recommend this sit highly enough!
I loved my time caring for Buka. She has such a beautiful personality! She enjoyed our many walks around the neighbourhood, LBG & Lake Ginninderra but equally is very affectionate and likes to stay by your side or snuggle under a blanket. Amber, Cameron & Anya are warm, generous & easy going. Their home is inviting with a beautiful garden, sauna and exercise studio. It is close to the Barton Hwy and a short drive from local shops and central Belconnen. I highly recommend sitting for them but I'd love to again should the opportunity arise!
