Margo and Charles are lovely people who welcomed us warmly in their beautiful home. We had five wonderful days taking care of Mawson, Rose and Dulcy, they are very well trained dogs who give so much love and attention! The home is very close to the park where it's nice to walk the dogs. It was hard to leave this very cozy home where we got so much love by the puppies. We definitely recommend this housesit ! Thank you again Margo and Charles, we hope to see you all again :-)
Tish and Dave are wonderful people - generous, kind, interesting, and adventurous! They have an amazing adobe home nestled in the Ortiz Mountains and we enjoyed the peaceful quiet as well as sampling fresh produce from Dave’s greenhouse. The posting information is accurate. We had good WiFi and cell (Verizon) reception. The wood stove was easy to use (we used it in the evenings after the sun went down) and kept the living area nice and warm. Both cats are pretty self-sufficient; Bob loves to seek out a warm lap to snuggle up in and Jerry often made his laugh with his silly sleeping positions! There was an incident with the pups which lead to one of them staying with a neighbor for most of our sit. Tish and Dave had left excellent instructions and contact information which was very helpful. We enjoyed our twice daily hikes with the pup who stayed with us (we did 2 30 min hikes a day instead of one longer one) as well as playing with her and her chew toys. And she loved getting belly rubs and being brushed! Regarding vehicles: We have a front wheel drive sedan and while we were able to traverse the rocky dirt road to their driveway, we were not able to make it up the final 1/2 mile due to muddy and icy conditions on that part of the road. (If road conditions were dry we wouldn’t have had a problem.) Tish and Dave graciously offered us the use of their 4WD vehicle during our stay which we used several times to go into Madrid for lunch or meet friends.
Alice and Ben have been very welcoming in their beautiful home leaving all the informations possible to make our stay agreable. The communication was perfect from begining to end. Jessy is the affectionate amazone who mostly live outside and comes back to get pet and fed. Stella pass most of her time inside and loves to follow us wherever we are in the house. They're both adorable and we'll miss them. The house is perfectly situated close to everything you might need. Thank you Alice, Ben, Stella and Jessy.
We stayed at Katelyn's place for a month long sit and had a really lovely time. The cats, Roo and Lou, are amazing. Roo is a cute little curious kitten, and Lou is the sweetest animal I have ever met. We miss them so much already! Katelyn's apartment is in a great location and is equipped with everything you could ask for. Communication and instructions were super easy. We would happily do another sit for Katelyn, Lou, and Roo.
This was a great house/pet sit experience! Beth and John are very kind and communication with them was seamless. Their home is beautiful and it's less than a 5-minute drive to the beach. Hana, Max, Katie, and Molly are so friendly and easygoing. Seriously, they are some of the sweetest pets you’ll meet. If you want endless fluffy cuddles, you’ll get them here. We really enjoyed our time with them and only wish that our stay was longer. We highly recommend this sit and would happily return.
You will be lucky to meet José Antonio and Ramóncito! I looked after Ramón for about two weeks in January of 2023. He has a wonderful personality and everyone in the neighbourhood wants to be his best friend. He has great stamina for long walks and will be very happy if you take him to any of the surrounding hills to chase some big sticks. Ramón is very well-trained and he loves attention. He kept me pretty busy, but with good planning it is easy to get out for a solo excursion in one part of the day or the late evening. Ramón doesn't misbehave when he's left alone and you can expect a lot of affection when you get back! José Antonio's apartment is in a very convenient and safe location, near many parks, metro stations, and the famous "Setenta" of Laureles. It can be noisy - it's a city, after all - and the TV, laundry, and kitchen are shared with roommates. It's a great base for exploring Medellín and very comfortable. Communication with José Antonio was easy and he was very relaxed about the entire process even though it was his first experience on THS. I arrived a few days before he departed so that we could create a smooth transition for Ramón, and he showed me everything I needed to know. Great experience and I hope not the last!
