Nelson was an absolute joy to look after. We would have quite happily stayed longer if needed. Nelson is a very active chap who loves his walks and ball games at the park. I've never seen a dog go so crazy for a ball - it was great fun for all of us! Kellie's home was lovely and exactly as described in their listing. There are lots of places to walk Nelson close by, including down by the river which he loves! We felt completely at ease from the moment we met Kellie and her partner, and would happily recommend them to any sitter.
Steve and Amanda were both very warm, kind, generous and professional, making us feel at home immediately. The welcome guide is very thorough, detailed and with lots of useful maps, along with manuals for all the appliances, which we found very helpful. The neighbours were all very friendly and helpful too. Otto and Monty were both great fun. Monty is exceptionally well-trained, good-natured, very energetic and loves to cuddle up or play. Otto is a lot older but keeps up with Monty in the games and the walks. Otto loves to paw you and be stroked and can’t get enough of this. Both dogs enjoy to play tug-of-war with sticks and cuddly toys. The farm was everything described and more. The house is beautiful and everything you would expect from a country farmhouse. There’s a choice of living rooms and we enjoyed playing games from Steve and Amanda’s collection. The kitchen also is a great place to spend time, with a cosy Esse and a large dining table where we spent a lot of our time enjoying great views from across their fields. The farm is in a fantastic location between the Dales, the Moors, also situated not far from Harrogate, Durham and some great towns and villages like Richmond, Thirsk and Bedale. All in all this was an amazing and memorable petsit, hosted by a fantastic couple, made easy by such great dogs.
This was my first houseitting experience and it was amazing! I had such a great time taking care of Cooper and Natalie was nice enough to let my dog stay at her home as well. We had a great time exploring the neighborhood and getting to experience Denver. Natalie's place is so cool, I loved hanging out on the rooftop and it was truly a pleasure to stay there. Natalie was an excellent host and was easy to communicate with her during our stay. We look forward to returning again in the future!
