We recently completed an amazing dog sit with Max. He's a a beautiful young springer spaniel with lots of fun playful energy and a lovely gentle nature, happy to be around someone or off by himself chasing lizards in the garden. We spent 5 weeks at Penelope and Johns home in Burgundy. We were very comfortable and enjoyed walking Max around the corner into the town square for a drink, lunch or another pastry. Max pulls a lot when walking on a normal lead, so Penelope and John provided us with a special lead that reduces his pulling. We discovered some forest walks within 6 minutes from home where we let Max off the lead and he could run around. He loves his walks, toys and being around you. Max is an easy dog to care for. Penelope and Johns home is beautiful. It was an old winery converted to a large family home. Each morning, my wife and I would make a cup of tea and sit in the courtyard listening to the birds and planning our day. There's lots to see and do nearby. Penelope and John are fantastic hosts. Very thoughtful & generous. They provided us with a detailed "Welcome Guide" which had everything in we needed to know, and Penelope made sure she was available to answer any questions. We fell in love with Max immediately & already miss our morning forest walks. We can thoroughly recommend Penelope and John as amazing hosts and Max as a lovely dog to care for.
Communication with Jenny both prior to our house sit and during the house sit was impressive. We knew exactly what we were required to do. Jenny and Owain were very friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for us and made us feel very much at home. The village was a pleasure to explore with local pubs and restaurants. I would recommend house sitting for Jenny and Owain and would not hesitate to apply on another occasion. Thank you both!
I travelled to Rothbury using public transportation which involves subways, trains and buses. Public transport are few and are between so a car is essential! Keeping mind that it's very quiet in the colder months. Joy's dog is a lovely young Labrador with very high energy so I literally devoted my entire stay to taking her on long walks, throwing her ball to chase which she loves and walks along the river. She never left my side as I stayed in Rothbury the entire time. Joys house is cosy with a fireplace which she insists you use to keep the house warm. She provides a small ax to chop up large pieces of logs which I found very difficult! This didn't work well for me as the bedrooms, kitchen and living areas still remained ice cold. Her concern for the water and heating costs caused me a lot of discomfort. Over the 15 days I only took 2 showers and a neighbour kindly lent me a heater which I moved around to keep warm and a hot water bottle was a life saver! I moved the dog's basket into the bedroom as she was shivering so much. The fact that Joy (HO) has the attitude that (HS) are very fortunate to get free accommodation I found a lack of gratitude for the cleaning I did before leaving and groceries (eggs, milk, cheese, fruit) and 6 rolls of toilet paper (whereas she left 2 toilet rolls for me) and a fridge that direly needed cleaning with perished items. The fact that Joy (HO) has the attitude that as HS we get free accommodation is disturbing. House Sitters have a huge responsibilities as unpaid guardians of the house and animals and in this case the HO asked me to do lots of chores including expecting deliveries, watering plants in a tiny awkward overcrowded hothouse and moving plants around and cleaning her house which was extremely dirty state.
It was a pleasure to take care of Tina’s three cats for a week. Their characters are quite different but each of them is very well behaved. Elsa came for cuddles, and also Olof could come and join me on the couch but Athena always kept her distance. It was fun to see how they interacted witch each other and played. I had applied for this sit because of the panorama windows that would have given unimpeded views of the Aurora, but this was not the good week for that. Anyway, the apartment is beautiful and very comfortable and I had a good time. There is good bus connection to the center. During my stay, it was too icy to use the steep footpath shortcut but the mall is within easy walking distance. We did not actually meet but communication with Tina was pleasant in cheerful Norwegian. The Welcome guide was clear and she sent a welcoming video where she generously pointed out food and snacks!
Excellent communicator. And the cutest place, warm and inviting with the most adorable fur babies. She is very detailed making taking care of her place, plants and fur babies easy to refresh yourself on. Sona was very responsive and a GREAT host. I appreciate her flexibility as well. When schedules align I definitely would love to sit for them again. I truly enjoyed my stay with them. I actually miss them😊
I enjoyed my time with Oliver so much that I miss him meanwhile. He’s adorable and very well-behaved, a little cuddle bear. Maise has been incredibly nice to me. I felt welcomed right away. I can’t express how grateful I am for this opportunity. I spent a wonderful time in Santa Cruz.

Great professional outfit, who care for the dogs while finding a scent of adventure for all on the walks. New dogs are carefully vetted and aggressive dogs turned away. I have been impressed with the variety of doggy experiences and my mutt is over the moon when the van rolls up the drive at 7am. Peace of mind is worth having.

Really happy with our first of hopefully many more visits to Scissorhounds Mission Bay. My cat Miso is a Persian X and her fur gets very long and hard for her to manage, plus it’s very hard for us to get the brush everywhere. The groomer was very nice and gentle and spoke with me beforehand to check what sort of groom I’d like, which admittedly I said I’m happy with any length and cut because what’s important was to get rid of some of the underbelly matting. We are so happy with the result, she looks so cute but most importantly she seems so much happier now that her fur isn’t hurting her. She’s mostly quite aloof but she’s been hanging out with us more since the shave. Thank you so much for your expertise and patience with her, she probably didn’t show it at the time but she is very grateful, as are we!

This is the second time I have brought Randall to this place for a groom as we have recently moved around the area. I was a bit worried about bringing Randall to a new groomer but Randall was well taken care by Nico and his team. It helps as well that they are nice and very friendly. Randall always gets complimented at work after his groom.
Nico and his team have been grooming Patrick now for over two years and I wouldn't take him anywhere else now. He is always groomed just beautifully and his wee westie face perfect. And the team are just delightful. Highly recommend.

Layla (Golden Retriever) has fortunately attended Top Dogs since she was 4 human months old (approximately) old, full time daily. As at 1 November 2024, she is turning 8 humans years old. I express this to give background that I speak as a long term attendee willingly. I would like to testify the fantastic team at Top Dogs are truly an extended family to help grow, train, nurture and protect every individual furbaby within their care. That peace of mind and the welcoming friendly environment and all they provide, is what has secured Layla's attendance. Recently, Layla has had a few special treatments (one of the many special extra's that Top Dogs provide) via their caring groomers, having had her Golden Retriever long fur paws trimmed, nails manicured and pedicured. We trialled a few doggy daycares in the area and ultimately went to Top Dogs due to the professionalism and care the staff put into our pets. These guys know what they’re doing. Our pets also come out smelling so nice after which is a HUGE bonus as they usually get really stinky at other daycares! Thank you for looking after Luna and Archie, they’re always so tired in the best way after a day of fun and play at Top Dogs.

Our dog has been going to Top Dogs day care for over 2 months and this has been the best thing we have done for our dog! Not only is it a dog day care, they actually provide training using clickers. The dogs get great attention and care. The service is very professional and friendly - and our dog Ralph loves it there! Every dog we see there flys out of the car super excited to go in the mornings! Highly recommended!

I have loved working at Pets and Pats. It's heartwarming to work with such adorable little dogs, you create an amazing bond by spending so much time with them. I stopped working a week ago and missed them every day. Another plus is the staff I have met in the 6 months I have worked here, caring people who are always willing to help and lend a hand when you need it, especially if you are from abroad. I made some great friends from all over the world who I will miss very much and would love to see again if this trip brings me back to Auckland.

Working in Pets and Pats made me feel very grateful, first because I was able to spend so much time with so many doggies, and second because gave me the opportunity to make very good friends while working with the staff members. Also it was very rewarding to see the excitement in the puppies every morning when I had to pick them up, but also see the happiness when they were reunited with the parents in the afternoon.
Pets and Pats are just wonderful! My little Cleo has been going to the farm since she was six months old so the better part of 2 years - we had tried a couple of other daycares before settling for Pets and Pats - They have given Cleo so much confidence, Ang and the team treat her as if she is one of their own but not just when she’s there - When Cleo has been off unwell they would check in on her and drop off care packages making not only her but also me feel cared for and supported. I always know she has the best time while she is there, when she is picked up she is always so excited to go does twirls and squeaks in excitement before bounding out the door and is so worn out when she comes home that she snuggles up on the couch - If your ever considering a daycare for you little fur baby absolutely can’t recommend P&P enough!
I cannot recommend Pets and Pats enough. Being first time fur parents, we care so much about our little Charlie and where he goes. Pets and Pats are constantly AMAZING to deal with. Charlie gets picked up by the "pup bus" which he waits at the door for in the mornings. He gets sooo excited when it arrives - that tells me everything I need to know. He absolutely loves going to the farm as he gets to run around with all his friends. We really like how they categorise dogs in size, age and energy levels so we know Charlie won't be bowled by bigger dogs or step on smaller ones accidentally. The whole team are friendly and really easy to communicate with. I have 100% trust in everyone involved and know Charlie is in safe hands from the moment that he gets picked up, to when he gets back home at the end of the day ❤️
We used Pets and Pats services for over 3 and half years for Mika - our now 4 year old Lagotto. Pets and Pats were very accommodating in that Mika wasn't spayed for the first 18 months, but was still allowed to attend (post a trial period) as long we kept her in at home for the time we was on heat. This pragmatic and professional approach was important to us as a working couple. For over 3 years - Pets and Pats never missed a pickup, and their communication and flexibility when life happened was top notch. They are a very reliable and dependable service.
Absolutely LOVE Pets & Pats Team. They have looked after my two girls for over a year now. The staff are so lovely and the bus drop off is so convenient. Our girls are knackered when they get home (both pointer x that need a lot of exercise!!) The grounds are a dogs paradise and the team absolutely love and care for all the dogs. Owner Ang is lovely and has helped us out when in a major pickle several times!! Our girls have also stayed over weekends many times. Any review which degrades the care or cleanliness of the dogs or property is absolutely rubbish. Our girls come home cleaner than when the left! The property is fully secure and wonderful. I have found no issues with communication with the team - in fact they put up with my slack communication so well. Highly Recommend x Thank you team we are so grateful for your care of our girls x
Pets and Pats is a home away from home for Lilli my wee dog who was welcomed into the family, and I mean into the family in all aspects. She slept with the other treasured dogs inside and the team was happy to accommodate her independent style. I have left Lilli with Pets and Pats since she was born and would not thinking of any other better place. The team care for her every need, food, rugs, grooming and cuddles. I know when I pick her up that she is healthy and happy. I searched for months visiting other places which do not match up to the wonder home with Pets and Pats. Security is big for me and I love that fences and places for all dogs of all sizes to run and play. Pets and Pats the best place ever!

Planning a break had become quite a challenge as our Dusty Rose got older with many medical conditions. I felt at peace and was able to relax knowing she was being well cared for by true dog lovers. Michelle listened to my concerns, provided great communication with regular updates and photos. Dusty looks forward to staying again and visiting her friends. Our aging Dougal Dog does not do well in kennel situations, and it has been problematic finding care that suits him. Fortunately, while staying at Pawsome Dog Care, he has been very comfortable and happy with the same attentive and loving care he is used to getting from us. Dougal has stayed there twice so far, and we have booked him in for 2 more future stays. As we travel far to drop Dougal off we have been grateful for the flexibility shown by Michelle & Dale in arranging Drop off and Pick-ups times.
Pawsome takes great care of our dog Ted when we were away. Ted needs lots of attention with his inherited health issues, Pawsome loved and spoiled him every time during his stay. They did it so well like looking after their own dogs. High recommended and would definitely come back again!!
Michelle and her husband took wonderful care of our much loved 14 year old pug for two weeks over the 2023/24 Christmas/New Year period. Far and away our greatest concern about going away had been finding the best possible care for her. She is old, has physical disabilities and at the time also had a vital medication need. We stumbled across Pawsome Dog Care online and description on the website was exactly what I had hoped, but not expected, to find. I cannot speak highly enough of the level of care, attention and understanding Michelle and her husband gave to our pup. The regular updates we received were much appreciated and we really felt that our pup was part of their family for the period she was with them. A 5star rating, with appreciation and thanks.

Michelle and her husband took great care of our 12 yr old dog for 2 weeks while we were out of the country. We received wonderful photo updates every day. They attended to our dog's arthritis and provided helpful advice from their experience caring for older dogs. He also really enjoyed the company of her friendly spaniels. He looked great when we picked him up. We will definitely ask Pawsome Dog Care to look after our dog the next time we go away and highly recommend them. Easy 5/5.

Michelle and Frazer looked after my little elderly Japanese Chin Bentley like he was their own; sleeping on their bed and spending his days in the office with Frazer. Bentley spent 2 weeks at Pawsome, and came home happy and very relaxed - amazing really as he is quite an anxious wee chap. Knowing Bentley can go to Pawsome, and have such care (for his bad leg, skin issues, meds, separation anxiety etc) means the world to us, as we can go away on holiday knowing he's fine, and that means I'm not stressing out my whole trip! I'm so glad I found Pawsome, and I recommend to anyone with elderly dogs who need some extra care.
Pipi had a wonderful stay with Michelle and Frazer, it was so nice to drive away knowing she was being cared for by true dog lovers, and I loved getting the photo updates. I had miscalculated her food and they very kindly fed her the same raw food from their supplies. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much!

Sarah walked our two miniature Dachshunds twice/three times a week for me after I had surgery. She was beyond wonderful, the dogs adored her and I felt relaxed and confident and totally trusted her with my boys! I would recommend her without hesitation.

My puppy attended daycare here for a few months and we had a wonderful experience. My puppy loved going there so much, would literally sprint to Central Bark as soon as she's out of the car!
You can happily leave your fur babies at Central Bark without worrying about anything. Their service is exceptional and are always welcoming. They are under a new management now but the quality of service is unchanged, just new faces. There is no more half day service so cannot by any packages for half day daycare. My dog always get excited to go there. Sure is his second home. They have cover parking with a door through to drop off your fur babies. Reception is always very helpful, ring them for any other info
The Central Bark Team work tirelessly to ensure our fur babies are having the very best and most comfortable stay, whilst their humans have to work. I can’t recommend you all enough; Basil adores his games and walks and most of all seeing all his furry companions & angel Aunties. Thank you for making this his all time favourite place. The love and attention you shower our wee man in, especially at the beginning when he was a little unsure, was reassuring and helped us get through the anxiety of leaving him for the first time. Took my Puppy here for her haircut last week and it was the best she's had yet, we will definitely become regulars here. They asked me exactly how I wanted her to look, and they made sure that she had the best experience ever. Being a puppy she's very social and active but she came out looking absolutely amazing and I couldn't have wished for a better job. Amazing team and fabulous groomers in a wonderful space with plenty of parking for a quick dash in and out.
I would not recommend it if your fluffy family is a little too protective or not taught well as the instructor there is not trained enough to deal with them, were refused to be served there today and had to go somewhere else.
At last a dog day care / hotel actually IN THE CITY !! Great location with parking. Great premises, super clean and boutique like. It doesn’t feel like a dog factory like other day care centres. Great service & feedback from the staff, they are so caring. Our babies Raven & Phoenix are loving their weekly stay and so are we ! We definitely recommend Central Bark.
From the moment Central Bark opened it was clear that at the core of everything they do is a shared love of animals and their well being. My little dog was quite nervous for her first 6 sessions and the team at Central Bark really worked with her to make her more confident. Now she can't wait to get there and runs through the front door and straight up the ramp to get to her friends. Love Central Bark Parnell! The staff are always friendly, helpful and professional. It’s a great place for our puppy to play with other dogs or stay the night at the pet hotel whenever we are away. We always recommend CB to other dog owners we meet. Thanks for opening such a great facility Maggie!
