I had a great time with Rigby at Bud and Sue's. They were welcoming and communicative. I adore Rigby! She likes a good deal of affection and attention but is so endearing you will be happy to share with her. The home is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Right outside is a large park with many walking trails. Stanley Marketplace is also nearby which has some great food and yummy chocolates.
I had a wonderful time looking after Bagel. She’s a real sweetheart. Bagel has a lovely temperament and is great company. We had some lovely walks. Everyone who gets the chance to house sit for Dawn and Bogdan can consider themselves really happy. They welcomed us not only with open arms, but open hearts. We arrived a few days earlier so they could show us everything important around the house and what needs to be done for their furry family. We were actually kinda sad when we took them to the airport to say our goodbyes to them, because we had so much fun together. They really are amazing and kind people - we took trips together, so we could get to know the area. They took us to their favorite restaurants and shops. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now to the part of taking care of their home and pets: We don't know where to begin. Happy is the sweetest dog we've ever met. When they said that he loves his cuddles, we first thought that he'd enjoy his cuddles like every other dog does. But Happy REALLY loves it. He is the cuddliest and kindest and really just adorable. He also loves his walks and car rides. We took him to little hikes with us and he was always really well behaved. He's just so content with himself, which makes it so joyful to be around him. We miss him really really bad. Nala needed a few days to get warm with us, but she did hang with us from time to time to get some cuddles. She was mainly outside doing her thing, but still made sure to check in on us to see if we are still around to feed her and a few cuddles. She's a gorgeous cat, also kind and was really nice to us. We miss her, too! The bunnies are really sweet. You can sit on the couches infront of them and just hang out with them there. It was really amazing to get to know their personalities over the weeks and how different they are. The main garden basically took care of itself through the watering system, which is so convenient. Wow, we had so many veggies!! We could walk down to the garden everyday and come back with full arms. And everything was so tasty. We are still really grateful for Dawn and Bogdan letting us eat from their land. What an experience. All in all it was a real pleasure to be on their land. It's so peaceful and quiet, we basically never saw any of the neighbors. There's so much to explore in the surroundings, sweet little towns and beautiful nature. We couldn't even do everything we planned on doing. That being said, we were also kinda lazy, because we really enjoyed just relaxing at the house with all the furry company we had. Kit and Sarah were very welcoming hosts. The house was charming in a beautiful setting. Our room was amazing. Honey, Fig and Bear were adorable and great fun and very well behaved and so cuddly. The alpacas were easy to care for as were the chickens. We enjoyed some lovely walks and a tasty Sunday roast in the local pub. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
Lisa and Mark’s nearly new contemporary home has sweeping views of the San Juan Islands. During our stay, the next door neighbor told us she was kayaking in the bay-a nice walk or a few minutes drive-and spotted orcas nearby. With 70 year round orcas in the area, sightings are almost a sure bet! So many beautiful trips around the area! Lisa and Mark left lots of suggestions for things to do, and we got out and about every day. Molly is a perfect traveler, and she enjoyed day tripping with us! She even did well on a ferry! Molly is very secure and confident, and obviously well loved. She enjoys her daily walks, but when at home, she mainly chillaxes other than her morning snuggle and evening toy time (about 10 minutes 😀)! After all, she’s middle aged. She is excellent about communicating what she wants, which is awesome. Molly is very easy to love, Mark and Lisa are such welcoming hosts, and this is a very special and beautiful area to visit! Most definitely recommend this sit.
Cinder is absolutely the sweetest dog. She loves her walks and is very well-mannered on them. She likes to hang out with you, but then she likes her "alone times" as well. :) The one downside to the sit was there's no heat in the bathroom. Being that it gets into the 40's outside, it's pretty cold in that room. Nanci is kind and communicative. It was easy to get any of my questions answered very quickly.

I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with PB Pet Care. Vinny and Shirine took care of both my dogs as if they were their own. They played, did photo shoots, and on the nights they stayed over, they were treated like family. They are very responsive to text communication and flexible with dates and times, as needed. Pacific Beach Pet Care is the best! They provide individualized care for each dog’s needs. I have used them for two very different dogs. One dog does not get along with other dogs. He had his own area dedicated for dogs with special needs. My other dog loves to play with other dogs although he’s skittish. He is able to socialize with other dogs while feeling safe. I always feel comfortable leaving my dog at Pacific Beach Pet Care, especially since they are AKC certified and can provide dogs with care in a specialized way.
Highly recommend PB petcare for your doggy daycare and boarding needs! I can tell that our pup loves Shirine and Vinnie so much and always has a great time, I always feel safe and comfortable leaving him there. I can tell they are helping him develop and learn too, and they give us great tips on training him and managing puppy behaviors.
Pacific beach pet care is the absolute best!! When I found shirine and Vince they changed my world I knew I was always leaving my golden doodle in the best hands having gone to many other boarders in San Diego it was such a gift to find people who treat your pet like their own no crates plenty of room to play and they are always so flexible and responsive and delightful to talk to most importantly so much love every time we leave our pup we know he is in the best of hands! Vinny and Shirine are absolutely fantastic! We’ve been leaving our dogs with them for the last five years and they are always extremely accommodating and take excellent care of our doggies. Even after we moved out of PB, we still bring our dogs out to them because we know they’ll be well taken care of and they’re fairly priced. We also have referred them to a few friends and they’ve had great experiences as well.
I love PB pet care ! Vinnie and Shirine are amazing professionals and they love Luna ! . They literally go above and beyond for Luna’s care. Luna gets to be a dog for the day and I get to be at work stress free knowing that’s she’s in great hands. The drop off and pick up process is quick and easy. The response time is right away and the care for these dogs is like one big happy family in the most convenient area of pacific beach.

I came to Shirine and Vinny with my husband for two of our pups now and I can’t say enough good things about how well they treat our little babies. First we used to bring our older dog, Violet (husky mix), for daycare on a daily for over 6 months. During that time, Vinny and Shirine helped us shape her into the amazing dog she is today, by giving us A TON of training guidance, tips and even training her when they found some time during normal daycare hours 😍 More recently we took our relationship with Shirine and Vinny a step further with our new puppy Silo. Knowing that Shirine is a FANTASTIC dog trainer we decided to bring him in for the boarding program, where Shirine took him in for over 4 weeks and worked day in and day out with him on multiple basic and advanced commands. He’s at a place training wise that we never even dreamed off for him to be as an adult dog, let alone a 4 month old puppy. We can’t wait to see the fantastic dog he will become and nothing of this would be possible without the incredible work done by Shirine on his boarding 🙌🏼 In summary, for ANYTHING DOG RELATED Pacific Beach Petcare has got your back! The owners genuinely care concerned about every animal that comes through their doors as if it is their own I have had instances where I needed to bring a dog that belongs to clients or what not from my company and they have been available with short notice and their prices were remarkable the care & concern they show each animal is just wonderful. Maria took care of our senior, three-legged kitty Moo while we were away for thanksgiving and I knew from the start our beloved boy would be in good hands. She was very responsive and made the entire process painless. Our cat settled in right away, despite us being nervous about how he would handle it. He loved Maria instantly and we were able to enjoy our trip knowing he was well taken care of and loved. In addition, we were updated daily with sweet photos, and the rates are very reasonable! I've been hiring Maria for pet sitting of my two kitties for about a year now. She is wonderful with my kitties and they love her! Maria has pet sat for me while on extended trips, Most recently though, she swooped in and saved the day while I had a medical emergency and was hospitalized. I was out of kitty litter and on my way to buy more when I had to go to the ER. I contacted Maria from the hospital and she was able to pick up litter and feed my cats. When we discovered Fur the Love Of Your Pet it came from staff in our long time vet’s office. What a find! For the last 2 years Maria, whose soul is deeply entangled with her furry friends, has reliably fed, played with, and handled other well-being duties as needed by our kitties. She was invaluable when taking on end-of-life maintenance fluids and medications for our 18 yr old cat while we needed to be out of town. She has kept up in her formal training as a vet tech. Each visit is documented real time over her cell phone to us showing a gps map with her current location, a brief description of our kitty’s health along with a photo, and the time checking into the house and leaving the house. She has good communication skills, good attention to the cat’s needs, and a real love for her furry charges. Do not hesitate to trust your pet to Maria!

Kathy is the best dog sitter out there! She has watched our 2yr old golden retriever about a dozen times, and we always feel at ease knowing he’s in great care with her. Kathy is such a lovely person. When our family was visiting San Diego over this Christmas holiday we checked into our hotel with our dog only to find out that she isn't allowed to be in the room unaccompanied. I reached out to so many pet sitters, and Kathy was the only person who was willing to watch her during the day on the 24th/25th of December. When our doggo got sick during the night she as kind enough to refund us and suggest a vet that was actually able to see our pup on Christmas eve. Thank you, Kathy! Kathy Mack is the only person who has taken care of Winston when we are away. He has grown up under her care. We are always confident that he will be safe and happy at her facility. Dog care and training is her full time occupation. We feel very fortunate to have found her so close by.
Our dog Cooper has stayed with Kathy multiple times and is always in the best hands!! Palina is real expert... warm and caring and instantly bonded with my 4 year old dog Prince Boo and 16 year old cat, Kono. My dog has shown separation anxiety when we’ve gone on holidays which made me seriously nervous to travel overseas. However, Palina was very attentive, reliable and kept my animals well exercised & loved while we were on vacation. Not to mention, she either texted via Wattsapp and emailed me daily keeping me updated... even sending me videos and pictures of my happy pets. Honestly, I’ve never seen my dog so relaxed and so well-treated as when we came home from our trip after Palina had stay. I will always feel safe and secure knowing my pets are in Wiggly Tail's hands.
Jennifer is an absolute gem! She has been taking care of our cat for almost 4 years on every holiday and vacation as we travel quite a bit. She has a wonderful touch with animals (not only with our cat, we have seen her with dogs too), you can tell that she truly loves being around them. We know she will take care of our cat as well as we would. Our siberian kitty loves her, it almost makes me jealous :-) We receive pics and videos of our cat while on vacation and we get a kick of Jennifer's descriptions of the cat's shenanigans. When we are back we find her beautifully groomed, with nails clipped and looking very happy. We have complete confidence in Jennifer and are so very glad and thankful we found her.

Jennifer is amazing! She has been watching my 2 Rottweilers for almost 4 years, since they were puppies. She has such a wonderful way with animals,,they just love her and are super happy to see her. Jennifer is a gem. She has cared for our almost 3 year Aussie for the last 2 1/2 years. She has stayed at our house, exercised a very active dog, and given him such loving attention. Tux always loves seeing her and going with her. I haves called Jennifer several times at the last minute, and she has always helped me out. She has come to our home early in the morning, and stayed late at night, based on our flights times. Jennifer is the best of the best.
Jennifer is the only person that I would have stay with my cat when I travel. She truly is an animal person. I never worry a bit while I'm away. I get daily pictures or videos. You can tell that this is not just a job for her but a passion. My cat comes running in when she hears her voice. I never get the "cold shoulder" from my cat when I get back home. She thinks her good friend has been staying with her. When I come home my cat is always clean, nails trimmed and my house is always cleaned up. It's nice not to worry about your precious ones while you travel.
I've used Jennifer as the go to for my two Dogs for about the last 10 yrs and have recommended her to many of my friends and others for their pets. I don't think there is another quite like her as many people have got into this business just for the money and not for the love of animals. First and foremost she has a true love for all animals and they really take to her. You will not have to worry as she will send you nightly videos or pic's whatever you want. Every time I return from my trip my Dogs are freshly washed and brushed and the house looks better than when I left it and no poop in the backyard. I've heard nightmarish stories from friends and colleagues who have had their dogs in the care of pet sitters only to come home and find their dogs looking very disheveled and the house tore up. Again, she is a true animal lover and the very best at what she does!

Fon Jon Pet Care & Man K9 is a home away from home for my 9 month old lab Bowie. I brought Bowie to Man K9 as soon as he was old enough to start training. We worked with Ricky who is the most patient and wonderful trainer. I travel frequently and knowing that Bowie loved his time training made boarding at Fon Jon a natural fit. Anthony and team are so awesome. I know I can always call and check in. Bowie comes home a happy dog every time! Thank you🐾😊
They are extremely unreliable and incredibly rude. After having told them multiple times of an early drop off, their employee gave us a hard time and also told me that they will refuse service. Imagine making arrangements weeks in advance for boarding your pet, to be taken advantage of and being told they won’t take the pet knowing fully well that the customer’s flight is in the next hour or two. This was such a disappointing experience. They show no accountability and need a reality check with their behavior towards customers. I am truly disgusted at how that one employee treated us. Taking advantage of our situation must have been the highlight of her miserable year. Well done Fon Jon.
We absolutely love this doggy daycare! We have the monthly pass for our dog, Hank, and it is so worth it. They make the process so easy during drop off/pick up, and Hank is always excited when we pull into the parking lot and sees anyone on the amazing staff. We also board Hank here and take advantage of their grooming services. Highly, highly recommend this wonderful pet care center.
I have been taking my fur babies to Fon Jon for over 17 years and there is no one else I trust with them. The staff is so wonderful and not only really care/love/understand the pups but also me and my life. I have recommended Fon Jon to many friends, who also love it there. I work from home and need to travel sometimes, so my pups go to daycare to play every day and are boarded there when I need to be out of town. Thank you Fon Jon for everything you do!
Fon Jon's Pet Care and K9 Training is an absolute dream! Being a new dog mom was initially overwhelming, but discovering Fon Jon's changed everything. Dropping off Frank is completely stress-free (even for a helicopter mom like me lol) The team at Fon Jon has palpable love and genuine care for every dog that walks through their doors. It's clear that the entire team not only loves their job but also has a deep affection for the dogs in their care. Everyone immediately knew Frank by name and even helped me get gum out from between his toes!! I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found such a dedicated and caring place for Frank. Leaving him in their care feels like I'm leaving him with family (who happen to be dog experts!) Frank absolutely adores going to Fon Jon's. Every time I pick him up, he's happily tired out from all the fun and activity. It's truly heartwarming to see how much he enjoys his time there. Fon Jon's is more than just a pet care facility--it's a sanctuary where dogs are loved, cared for, and thoroughly enjoy themselves. I couldn't recommend it more highly!
Highly recommend this place for training your dogs! Manuel & Fon are great at what they do & truly understand dogs! Especially high drive dogs that need a little extra challenge to be the "bestest dog" in our family pack! Our young pup get so excited to do training when we get the parking lot she can't wait to get out of the car and start!
This review is long overdue, but I just want to thank everyone at Fon Jon for so many years of making my pup’s day!! We’ve been coming for a few years now and I have nothing but good things to say about how much the staff loves what they do. My dog loves this place more than home sometimes it feels like. My #1 recommendation for anyone who needs daycare or boarding in San Diego!
Office staff is incompetent and rude. Gave them my drop off time multiple times. Then they were surprised, giving me an attitude, because I was there for an early drop off. They also needed to be reminded of the feeding schedule three separate ocassions. Their fees are outrageous and they have awful customer service. I definitely don’t recommend this place. You can go somewhere else that’s more affordable and friendlier.
My dog has gone to daycare, training with k9 and grooming and boarding!! I absolutely love dropping my dog off there, the staff is so sweet and always make my dog feel welcomed even from greeting us when we get there !! I typically do full days of day care and some maintenance training and I think it’s fully worth the money and he loves spending time there and Ricky the k9 trainer is awesome!! My dog midknight responded so well to his training and every-time I pick him up he’s wiped!!
After taking our boy Preston to another doggy day care that told us we needed more training before we could bring him back, we brought him to Dog Days. After the first day of leaving him here we were so happy. The Dog Days staff gave us such detailed information on Preston’s stay. They showed so much care and on top of that Preston was so worn out from playing, he rested for a couple days after over night boarding. This is good because being Husky mix, he has an extreme amount of endless energy. We have trusted Dog Days with multiple nights of overnight boarding as we have had to go out of town or work late. Preston gets so excited when we are a block away to go play with his friends at Dog Days. It’s so nice that when our work schedule gets hectic we can take him to Dog Days and know he is going to be so well taken care of and have such a good time. Dog Days has been a godsend for all of us, including Preston. We are forever thankful!! They were also able to trim his nails which he is very sensitive about. We were almost out of options and they got it done. Dog Days has many additional services from Dog walks to Grooming as well. Do not hesitate to take your dog here for day care or over night boarding.
The team at Dog Days San Diego are amazing and treat my babies like one of their own. I am able to relax on our trips because I know my pups are taken care of. They offer pack hikes, so it's like Shadow and Kaia are on their own vacation. I can message them to get updates and photos
We absolutely love this place. It was recommended by our trainer at Pack Method Prep which is another great resource. I have 6 month old puppy mutt husky mix. He is large he needs exercise and he is very timid so he needs some confidence. I appreciate he can play despite not being neutered yet due to his age. He loves dogs and people and gets interaction from both. They are all dog loving here everyone is always so happy to see him. It’s a really great safe place to bring your pup. Since starting daycare days a couple times a week it’s made such a difference. He is calmer, more confident and oddly stopped having potty accidents completely. He loves being with his family and hated his one boarding experience but I pick him up so happy here. Best thing we started doing. Plus my older dog appreciates the break from puppy and he is passed out after a day here!
My little boy, Tony, is usually very timid and shy. But after a weekend at Dog Days I noticed a huge difference. He made lots of friends, and I can tell his confidence was boosted. He was so calm on the drive back home, as opposed to before when he would just shake for the entire ride. And the best part is they trimmed his nails! I love this place!
My velcro dog can’t leave me fast enough when we enter Dog Days doors! He started daycare regularly as a puppy and I attribute a lot of his socialization skills to Dog Days. He learned how to play, communicate, and understand different behaviors. Whether it’s a day of play or overnight boarding, I know that my guy is happy and safe. The staff is always friendly and goes above and beyond for any range of questions you may have. I can’t recommend this place enough!
I’ve had a wonderful experience with Dog Days for my 5-month-old puppy’s socialization. The staff has been amazing and patient, especially in helping my vocal puppy overcome his first-day jitters. Since that initial visit, my puppy has been back for both half-day and full-day sessions, and each time has been fantastic. What stands out to me is the level of care and communication from the Dog Days team. Since I am curious how my little guy is doing, all I have to do is make a quick call to the front. They are always happy to provide updates on how my puppy is doing, and even who he’s playing with, and his overall progress. Additionally, they went above and beyond when I had a last-minute scheduling conflict. They arranged a transport home for my puppy with their bus service, saving me from a stressful situation with traffic and timing. Overall, my puppy now loves going to Dog Days, and I feel confident that he’s in the best hands. It’s great to have a place where he can have fun, get more socialization, and give me a much-needed break. I highly recommend Dog Days to any pet owner looking for a caring and professional environment for their furry friends.
Staff is super friendly! Happy the neutering requirement is until a year old since I’m not sure about neutering my puppy yet. Also they don’t require the lepto vaccine which I’ve been told could be a little too much for a puppy that has been sick before. I loved their report card feature with details about his behavior during his stay and getting super cute photos of my my dog. Dog Days is the best daycare/boarding experience! I left my beagle pup, Buddy, with them for 6 days and he was so happy when I picked him up. Their report cards are also very kind and thorough about what he's been up with the other pups. I feel so safe leaving my dog with them. They're the ultimate dog lovers here!
This is hands down the best doggy day care and overnight boarding in San Diego. Our 2 rescue pups have come here several times over the last few years, for as long as 6 nights, and every time I’m blown away by the level of care provided. One of our dogs is super friendly, while the other is much more shy and still getting used to strangers and other dogs. Our shy dog needs to be with her sister at all times, and isn’t always the best at communicating her feelings - and Dog Days always provides us with thorough updates on how she’s doing and accommodates her little quirks (like needing to be in the small dog area despite being 50 pounds, ha) to make sure she’s doing well & that all the other dogs are comfortable too. We’ve also used their transportation drop off service, and there was a hiccup once where our shy dog was having some barrier aggression when getting into the van. Rather than throwing their hands up and asking us to come get her, DD gave her and her sister a PRIVATE ride home - we were obviously a bit mortified but so relieved that DD handled the situation so well for all dogs involved. They gave us a robust rundown of the situation and recommendations for how to handle similar issues in the future. And whenever we call to check in as anxious dog parents, they always give us detailed notes on their behavior and health as well. We also love that they have extracurriculars for the dogs, like hiking outings, too! Dog Days is truly the most professional level of dog care you can get in San Diego - and while the rates do reflect that, it’s absolutely worth the peace of mind. Ziggy and Nova say thank you!!
Our 9 month old chocolate lab attends daycare here and he loves it. I appreciate the ease of reserving days online and their flexibility with last minute changes when possible. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about big, strong willed dogs like ours. I picked them specifically because they fit with my own dog philosophy....things like not allowing dogs to greet on leash, taking collars off prior to play, knowing how to watch dog language and step in to teach the dogs proper playing etiquette before anything gets out of hand. The big dog area is outside but the staff does a great job of keeping the dogs cool. It's not the prettiest or newest facility but I have no concerns with cleanliness and I prefer quality staff over a fancy facility. Since starting daycare, my 65 pound puppy is calmer and better behaved on the days we are together all day. I also like that the place offers training and hike packs as an option. We haven't used those yet but plan to when we board him to give him some variety and make sure he doesn't forget all his training while we are away!
Mira and her fabulous team have been taking care of our dogs Benny and Louie for years. They have always been able to accommodate our requests- even if last minute - and every day we receive an update and photos of the pups. My dogs love them like family. We would never go anywhere else!

I cannot recommend this pet care service. They were entrusted with the care of my beloved dog, but tragically, my dog died while in their care. This devastating experience has left me heartbroken and angry. I advise other pet owners to be extremely cautious and seek alternative options for pet care.

I hired Paradise Pet Care to stop in and check on/feed my two cats while I was out of town over the holidays. Mira, the owner, was wonderfully communicative, professional, and the process was seamless. Kim, our sitter, did such a great job with the cats and sent pictures and updates each time she stopped by. I felt very at ease knowing they were being well taken care of! This was my first time hiring a company to help with pet care and I will absolutely use them again!
Paradise Pet Care is amazing! My husband works from home and so our dog is rarely alone for long periods of time. However, he was going out of town for a week, so we hired Paradise Pet Care for daily walks. Mira, the owner, was so helpful and responsive; Christina, our walker, was beyond amazing. Our dog, who can be a bit protective, loved her right off the bat. I loved the photo and text updates she sent everyday. It gave me such reassurance. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves there pets! Will definitely being using them again in the future. Thanks ladies!
