Oh, my, where do I start? First off, Linda and Craig were so welcoming the moment we met; the most sweetest couple you’ll ever meet. Everything was ready and neatly organized for us. Their home is absolutely breathtaking, with a beautiful view from their living room & kitchen. Although we spent most of our time in the family room, by far, my favorite place was the kitchen! It’s so beautiful, you have to see it to believe it. Now, let’s talk about the sweetest girl, Ellie. I can honestly say that she has grown on us very much so, that we miss her so dearly. We enjoyed our daily walks together around their beautiful neighborhood. Ellie loved walking right beside my son, as if she was his protector. Ellie and my son became the best of friends, attached by the hip, those two! Ellie slept in our room throughout our trip and greeted us every morning, especially Rob! We also got to pick some lemons, limes, and tomatoes from their garden by the gazebo, which we’d have to walk up a few flights of stairs as well, that also had beautiful views. Oh, and I can’t forget the 8 hr smoked pork butt we had using their pretty cool egg grill (super tasty). It has truly been a wonderful experience. We had the chance to see what SLO had to offer & we were sold! It has truly been a wonderful experience, especially with Ellie! We would be honored to have another opportunity to spend time with Ellie in their beautiful home! Thank you, Linda & Craig, for having us!
I had a great experience housesitting for Steve and Susan. They are warm and welcoming, and took the extra time to make sure I would be fully prepared and supported while they were hiking in the backcountry without communication. They created a detailed document of how to care for the kitties and the house, and listed several people I could contact with questions or concerns. Their house was lovely, clean and comfortable, with a sweet backyard, and within walking distance to Arana Gulch and the ocean! And Chunky Monkey and Streak are the sweetest kitties! They were low maintenance, slept much of the day, and were always friendly and affectionate! I highly recommend housesitting for Steve and Susan and would happily sit for them again!
Great house sit. Keri and Casey are very welcoming and meet with us in person for a tour. They showed us how to give meds to the cat. The senior cat Sheba is sweet but a bit shy, she eventually got used to us and try to interact with us more after a week. The house is centrally located in a nice neiborhood, close to Golden Gate Park! We are very happy to stay here and spend time with Sheba. We highly recommend house sitters to come help Keri and her cat!
We have thoroughly enjoyed this housesit. Arrived to a spotless house with the most generous gifts, the house was comfortable and in a great location. We loved exploring the local markets and food, my tip is go on a diet before you visit here ;-) Chimi was an absolute delight to look after, he is a right little character putting a smile on our faces every day. He is a real clever little thing, took a while to warm to us but then he was happy to come for neck rubs and plays - he is certainly into his food (like us) which made us connect even more :D Communication was easy and we really can't recommend looking after this little furball any higher.
Maisy is a very playful and loving dog who wants nothing more than to be beside you or in your lap when at home, or chasing a tennis ball to the ends of the earth when in the park. Morning walks in Richmond Park are beautiful when everything is still misty and frosty and there are deer about, plus Maisy always comes when called and will follow wherever her stick or ball is being taken. The cafes, gelato place, and Italian delis in the surrounding area are really great and all accessible on foot. Lots of fun staying with Maisy - I would recommend this sit!
When we first arrived, Bogey and Butters greeted us with such enthusiasm that we were instant friends. Bogey is a bundle of energy on walks, or runs if you’re keen. But his big passion is playing fetch, giving love, and receiving attention. He enjoyed sleeping with us, and was ok to sleep on the floor beside us too. Butters is older a calm and affectionate boy. He loved being pet, and he stuck by our side like a friendly shadow. At night he was happy to sleep on the floor next to our bed. We walked the boys morning and evening and played fetch with Bogey during the day. My and Brian were great hosts… thoughtful, easy to communicate with, and left us clear instructions. They have a clean, spacious, and beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood with a large park nearby. We miss Bogey’s energy and love and Butter’s calm, wise presence. We would happily sit for My and Brian again.
