We went to Joucas to HouseSit for Caroline in April 2019. We stayed two weeks and had no problems at all. Cachou is a wonderful cat who is very much independent. Caroline showed us everything we needed to know, about the house, and about the surroundings. The weather was great, so sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful views, were part of our daily routine. We would love to come back again. Yvonne and Karl
Laurie & Charles are easygoing, friendly, and communicative people, who gave clear instructions (Laurie drew the cutest guidebook for us to refer to)! Their place is a clean, tidy, lovely unit on the ground floor with a big patio. Sammy the older dog was a true gem - he is calm and unfussy and just wants to lounge around, and it seems like nothing much fazes him anymore. He enjoys cuddles and head scratches, but also likes just being left by himself. He gets very tired out by short walks, and during the time we were there, he couldn't climb back up the stairs anymore so we had to go another way. He is a true good boy! Penny is a gem too, but perhaps an unpolished gemstone - her excitement, playfulness, strength, and curiosity were uncontrollable at times - if you're not as experienced with such doggos there can be quite a lot to get used to! My short time with her was never a dull moment. 😅 She also absolutely loves her walks, goes crazy if you take her out again after having already gone multiple times. However Penny is (surprisingly) good at listening to you, if you call her back or ask her to sit or be gentle. And when she goes into her peaceful chill moods, she becomes the sweetest dog! She enjoys her cuddles as we watch TV together, will lift up her leg for a belly scratch, and attacks us with her cuteness. Overall we really enjoyed our stay there and would very happily come back to take care of Sammy & Penny again!
Thank you for having me Claudia! Mittens is such a wonderful animal companion and I’m so glad I got to enjoy the homey and natural environment of the area. I hope you had a great trip 😻
It was a real pleasure to cat sit recently for Arya as she's such a sweet and affectionate cat who clearly loves human company between her cat naps and spending some time outside also. And although she is four she is still quite kitten like as she loves to play with her toys especially her stick with tinsel on the end and she's not at all shy about making it known when she wants to be cuddled and picked up and stroked which is very important to her, and she could happily spend most of the day being stroked and cuddled while she purrs away. The house is very clean and comfortable and i really enjoyed my stay in the spacious ensuite double attic room with a very comfortable bed and having use of the stylish and well equipped kitchen also. And there is a bus stop and overground station and supermarket and other shops and cafes just a short walk away. Communication with Carter and Fiona was very good with an initial video chat followed by them kindly sharing a useful welcome pack and we also had a very helpful in person handover on my arrival day, and i sent daily short updates while they were away. And i also really appreciated Carter helping to carry my suitcase upstairs also on my arrival. All in all i would certainly recommend this sit and many thanks again for inviting me.
